And people are actually sad that Nintendo didn't announced more ports at the E3 smh. Not even of ports of games that really are rare/difficult to acquire, but the mainline ones that are quite common and ubiquitous.

To be fair Pikmin 2 doesn't have a time limit on beating the game, you can spend as many days as you need doing whatever. Pikmin 1 however is fair game, if you aren't familiar with the game it can be stressful.

Did they ever make a pikmin 3 with that kinda mechanic

But wow can I just say Tales of Berseria just featured a mechanic that I greatly appreciate and should have existed as far back as tales of symphonia, if not further: all characters have a face bubble that indicate whether you've already talked to them or not, and if they have more things to say.

Furthermore, there are exclamation marks on characters to indicate scenes and voiced dialogue and skits you can catch up on. I might never miss a piece of dialogue again with this feature. It's such a small useful addition that should receive hella more notice, why wasn't this implemented in every rpg ever since the dawn of time.

I remember being so upset back in 09. This shitty game deserved a 6-7 at best, since it at least wasn't a glitchy mess or anything like big rigs over the top racing, so at least it deserved points for that, even if it wasn't remotely fun to play, tedious as heck, and overall just incredibly disappointing.

I could never understand the high rating besides maybe lingering trailer hype. It makes sense at why people went so berserk at such a high score for a massive disappointment of a game sequel.

I see what people mean when complaining of large open areas that are slow to traverse, I can definitely see that as being annoying. Luckily I have the patience of a saint after having played numerous ps1 rpgs and their slow, slow, mega slowness in all things (load times, world traversing, battle transitions, you name it) so it doesn't bother me as much.

I felt like the movies ending was rushed. It was all this build up and then they lived happily ever after and got everything they wanted in the end.

Agreed, but to be fair as soon as they introduced a lottery ticket angle I went "oh, that's how they're playing it" and again, the plot is a good first effort by Lin, with some generic story beats.

You know what movie actually had a nice twist on the lottery ticket angle, it could happen to you.

I mean, I'm sure it is since most plays are better than the movie version, but if the movie is anything like the play well...

I'll say this, I'm thankful for this play for laying down the groundwork for his magnum opus, Hamilton.

I already saw Hamilton a few years ago and...

Wow. I did not expect for so much of the themes and general feel of In The Heights to be in Hamilton too.

The caribbean tie-in, the theme of a legacy, making something of oneself, all of it...

Anyway the movie was okay. I didn't know what it was about going in but the movie is basically just "a day in the life of ____ community in some part of NYC"

Already seen plenty of movies and shows with that motif so it wasn't as interesting, but overall not bad.

And a similar attempt at a teen/tween audience was done with cirque du freak which was even more sad/laughable since they probably hoped to cash in on the vampire craze at the time and it performed so poorly that I don't think anyone even remembers or knows they made this movie. I didn't bother seeing that one.

They wanted to chase the teen drama market, not make it for families.

Was gonna say. Like how Disney's Narnia was desperately trying to capture that LotR acclaim/success with all the wrong moves and wrong reasons, they tried to do the same with Percy Jackson to be the next Harry Potter.

The Percy Jackson stories were definitely too "kiddy" to make into the epic mega franchise to ensnare teens that HP was. The books are a lot more young adult, emphasis on young, and mainly for a middle school audience. That doesn't translate well to a Hollywood blockbuster without them making changes accordingly.

Heck while I only bothered to skim the first movie, if I remember right they once again went with the "oh let's make Hades the villain" option except without a hilarious James Woods performance, instead of the much more interesting titan Kronos twist from the books.

I agree but part of the fun was playing it for the first time and figuring that stuff out. Much of the luster of a game like this is lost upon multiple plays later. That's not to say there isn't replay value and stuff you may have missed.

I get your point though, it's alot of work and nothing more frustrating than waiting for something in the wrong place or completely missing an event due to confusion.

At least they tried to make the Bomber's Notebook more user friendly in the 3DS ports.

I also just want to state that these games look amazing on the New 3DS and I prefer to play them in 3D.

Yeah it's only just that there's a difference between a fun puzzle-esque quest to solve and a tedious one that requires a lot of back and forth.

The thing I really loved about botw is that the puzzles are all bite sized shrines, rather than one long exhausting dungeon that overstays its welcome more often than not.

The cruel joke is that it's not the individual driving a prius/tesla and recycling cans that's the key to (at least) slowing down climate change, it's the government and big corporations that need to institute change and, oh I dunno, maybe not dump toxic sewage into the ocean (I live 20 minutes from the sea and I literally can see where the sewage run-off from the factories is dumped into the ocean.
