Yes, but in the sense of the speed gameplay. We don't need mech-shooting, treasure hunting, or fishing again...but I would like freely controllable movement, no instant-gratification speed boost, and multiple playable characters with their own stories, maybe with an open environment that links all the levels together like SA's field zones. They could re-use levels for each character story but provide alternate pathways much like S3&K's level design.

Seeing comparison pictures I can see that they puffed up her face and made it rounder...but also I didn't notice it during the State of Play. All I could think of were how gorgeous the environments looked.

Imagine still playing Sonic games after Sega Genesis.

Some of them are good. Just have to wait for general consensus when these games come out.

I know the Advance titles are good (stuck on GBA though), Sonic Generations is good, Sonic Colors is good, Sonic Mania is excellent...that's about it. Everything else is YMMV.

I think BoTW is absolutely not guilty of this. The world is constructed to literally be one giant navigational puzzle. Like the world design is ridiculously well thought out.

Despite what I said, I could agree with this. It didn't feel super empty to me because traversing it was a navigational puzzle at times.

I do think it could've used something more substantial than 900 Korok Seeds and randomly collecting materials though, lol. Shrines were a cool concept though, they could bring back the concept by integrating mini-dungeons organically into the world, like finding caves or ruins with treasures inside after solving some environmental puzzles.

My main gripe w/SotN as classic as it is is that it's too easy to become OP and ruin the game.

Like I still remember a friend of mine getting the Crissogram early on and cheesing the entire second castle.

Is Aria a challenge? The DS games seemed to address this.

From an LP I remember, they definitely balanced some things about the game. Like, an item similar to the Crissagrim is in Aria, but it's massively downscaled. Range is pretty terrible and doesn't do as much damage.

Yep, I remember that. I ended up believing that theory for a while too...at least until the Chris DLC came out and it seemed like it was actually legit. People were just wondering why tf he would join a group with "Umbrella" in the name even if they were supposedly for a good cause.

I feel like the game would've been really fun if they weren't intentionally limited by Sakamoto. They had to make the gameplay with strictly a Wii Remote despite their protests.

I don't know what other influence they had, but I know the writing and story was completely on Sakamoto.

It's probably why Capcom decided to make it in-house because of the remake being "too similar to the original." So they're probably working to drastically overhaul it.

Would've been interesting at least. I do remember talks of a game involving that Tiger character that ended up cancelled or something.

I just find it funny that they had the idea to name the sequel Banjo-Tooie since the first game's development, since that title was dropped in the secret ending and Kazooie even made a comment like "wait a minute, I'm not gonna be replaced, am I?"

Yep. I still play it on occasion on my phone. RCT Classic, look it up on the webstore. It's RCT1+2 with all their expansions for $5. Way worth it.
