But it does admittedly get harder to keep it with the better ones they keep printing. For now though...I still use them.

Love seeing Ugin. I honesty don't think I've ever seen anyone ult him before when playing, which is wild because of how often I do see him get played. But it hardly matters because of how great his first two abilities are.

Spike is cool. I bought one of those a while back to make a deck with, but never got around to it, because the more I thought about building it, I realized that I've made busted decks before that use lots of tutor effects, and I usually take them apart for not being very fun since the games usually end up going the same way every time. I even bought a Time Walk mostly for it. I dunno, one day it'll be worth putting together. Maybe I'll make it un-Spike by mostly using banned cards in janky ways. Or since it's a silver bordered game, just pick a random card from among a stack of banned cards...that'd be pretty fun.

How much does flavor text and art factor into your love of a card? Chub toad has nice of both.

I see you said:
While I dislike bad art, art doesnt really factor into my rankings too much. My rankings are pretty much entirely based on playing the card and how interesting of a design the card has
I can't help but think a lot of these bad cards getting ranked high for nostalgia had to have been loved at the time because of the art or flavor text.

I think this is the worst card on the entire list. When I got my first starter deck and convinced my mom to play with me. I remember her mockingly summon this card.

It stands out to me both as a fond memory and holy crap this card is terrible.
Nice

When I got into Magic, two of the most recent sets were Urza's block (fun times!) and Starter. Did you happen to have any Starter cards? Because let me tell you, it was very confusing to see the overpowered rares in Urza's block and at the same time see Mon's Goblin Raiders marked as a rare (they say it's a misprint, but I didn't know that back then).

With your ironic love of that Merfolk, I bet you'd have loved him too if he happened to land in your decks at the time.

At least with that card there isnt any reason to gloss over there isnt an end of turn on it, unlike flight cards where there are a million of them that always say until end of turn.
Its definitely easier to gloss over the fight card because of all the extra text. But I wouldn't say it's not easy to miss Dilu Horse either! Most people seem to fill it in in their mind or just assume its erratad like other old tutor cards that have you search your library but forgot to print "shuffle your library" on the card at the end.

Notice the first two cards say until end of turn.
This is why I love Riding the Dilu the horse. And it IS legal!

The really old PC version of MTG played with the idea of exclusive cards that can only realistically (or practically) function digitally. Who can forget Aswan Jaguar (which actually had a paper release, but only as a novelty oversized card).

I've no issue with them doing stuff like this if it's to take advantage of the things you can do digitally.

I guess I should have specified that I meant the Saw franchise, when I nominated Reverse Beartrap. Your write up is accurate if based only on the first film, as it is only a "test" in that one. But it is used more times in the series, and later is 100% used as a finishing move with no "test". I wasn't able to link videos probably because of the gore.

Usually when I get it, I only hear sounds, like someone else is in the house. Sometimes a bang, knock, or a voice saying a single word (sometimes my name).

I've had visuals a couple times. One time I saw something large quickly enter the room in the air while I was lying on the couch, but I lost track of it. Then shortly after I saw these huge black wings slowly drop into my vision from above as if some large winged creature were directly above me. As I tried to look up, something stopped my body from doing so, and then I open my mouth to yell, but nothing came out, but I felt this weird force like something was being pulled out of me from where the scream would have been. Very hard to describe.

Bob Omb Battlefield is one of the best intro stages in all of gaming...maybe the best. It has amazing music, alot of freedom to roam, and a nice variety of stars despite the simplicity.

Tall Tall Mountain has a cool setting with a lot of fun scaling the mountain. There is some grand sense of adventure about it that is hard to explain.

Great winner either way...but I've been saying that since the top 10 because of how amazing Mario 64 is.

Its become apparent over the last few days the "main" stuffer loves Tall Tall Mountain.

I wonder if the other small fry stuffers that have less time on their hands to stuff will be able to stop this win.

I really don't think Tall Tall Mountain is the stuffer's choice. It seems like the classic decoy move that they like to pull to get their favorites a win/dream final 2. The decoy choice adds a buffer to their favorites and potentially draws the ire of small scale stuffers who think it's their favorite while trying to eliminate it. Bob-Omb and Tick Tock have had secure positions anytime I've seen the poll, but Tall Tall Mountain sits in unsafe positions constantly, and only seems to get a vote boost to eliminate something. It's like how last time Jurassic Park was actually the decoy, and then Raiders ended up smoking it in the final. And this seems to happen time and time again, but people keep falling for it. Can't always tell if they want a specific winner or a specific final 2. Due to the way Bob-Omb and Tick Tock have peformed, I'd assume they want those 2 specifically in the finals.

Dante got shit on all the time because people hate Bayonetta, and they keep calling him Male Bayonetta.

Crash is one of the most hated because people call him "Banjo without the bird" and Banjo is already one of the lowest scoring DLC characters in most polls ( I honestly have no idea why people hate Banjo these days...I thought he was pretty harmless before he entered Smash).

The only characters anyone has posted so far that currently doesn't get constantly shit on by the community is Kratos. Eggman oddly doesn't get much hate either. I think Ganon would probably be well received too, but it's hard to say the reaction to DLC being a character we already have in a different form, even if they play drastically different. Bubble Bobble guys always get praised in small circles, but not sure what a grand scale would translate ton. A lot of the other replies here are so hilariously out of touch though, because people have posted some of the ones that evoke the most anger from the community.
