80s was likely the last great decade to be kid, in the US at least. Dunno about about Canada.

I lived in a town that had 3 thousand people from the time I was 5 till after I moved away and it never grew.

Now it's 9000 and looks so different I can't even find where my house and orchard were except in a vague sense of "somewhere around here."

I walked to and from school on my own and took care of myself after school for a few hours from a very young age (like literally 5) and I loved it.

Imo i had an amazing childhood in so many ways but thinking about the fact there were 6 dui deaths and a suicide in such a small class... its pretty fucked up. I haven't really thought about it much as an adult.

Not counting friends I lost back when my own childhood was fucked for a buncha reasons but looking back i wouldn't trade it for the world.

That would have been awesome. I feel like 14 in 96 was fucking great but there was a doc on my dads grad class that I hunted down and I'm pretty sure it was a slow decline since the late 60s or early 70s... I graduated in 2000 and the shit we got up to is not a thing I'd want a social media record of or modern day reactions too.

We roamed free and we did shit that woilda caused a shitstorm if it was nowadays but going back further it seems like it was even better. I lucked out as a small-town latch key kid.

I nearly said no one died. That would be untrue.

Actually 7 kids died through my grad classes time in hs. God thats fucked. I had a grad class of 100 and 7 didn't make it.

I'm gonna try and not think about that now like I've done for the past 20 years.

So 5 and then the live album. 6 was right unless I'm missing something.

Fuck also hell yeah was a dime side project. Plus down with Phil and rex and hank the third. And vikings crown.

God there's a lot of great shit that was relayed to those guys.

Meanwhile, $2 usedalbums from Vintage Stock have consistently been pristine.

I only ever bought vinyl from a used shop thats now long gone or scooped them from work after the bulshittery.

I love vynil and I should really focus on getting more stuff I like on vinyl... I get jealous whenever I see @a-c-a-b s collection.

Man that's cool. Wifes brother just saw Green Day and Panic at the Disco in Atlanta somewhere like a week ago or so, said Green Day was excellent live.

I bought a shirt at that show. I've never really worn it cause it's a graphic tee with giant angry cartoon pitbull alone at a bar with a buncha empty shot glasses and a bottle of scotch, bourbon, and beer on it... I've never regretted buying it and its awesome as hell... but its not exactly the kinda thing I'd ever wear.

Also if anyone remembers big sugar their front man Gordie Johnson opened the show with his two man band sitdown servant and I really liked them but apparently I was one of the few.

Also I woulda thought big sugar made lots of money but Gordie was running his own merch booth after the show and kind of being a dick to people who were lining up for thorogood merch and ignoring his table.

I saw him live something like 2009 or 20010. He hadn't slowed down according to a bunch of older folks I met who saw him when he was young.

I'd agree even though I never saw him live any other time. It was a super high energy show and he's a top tier entertainer too.

He was a good lighthearted troll too. At one point he does a bit where he's like "about this time we send this one out to the ladies...." *huge cheers* "we aren't gonna do that" *long pause* "this time maybe we send out to the girls at the show. Oh man that would have been such a great opportunity! Here all liquor stores are regulated by the OLCC (Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission) and you can't adjust prices across the state, it's all set in stone. You can search their website for any bottle and it will tell you if it's available in Oregon and at which store. So the stores can't price gouge you so that's cool. But the OLCC is also run but a bunch of inept dumb fucks so there's also that.

Its the same here. There's even some conditions beyond that I'm not familiar with.

I know my dad had to go through huge hoops to get access to rare scotches that are almost impossible to find outside of Vancouver stores.

Even then he would have to pay for it and drive down and pick it up in person or he wasn't allowed to buy it.

I mean, it also just doesn't make sense. If it were that toxic, people wouldn't be selling it. Drug dealers make money off repeat customers, not ones who buy a single dose of fentanyl and then fuckin' die. That's not to mention that dealers themselves would be dropping like flies if just touching it triggered an overdose. It's not like street dealers are maintaining strict hospital standards.

Its sold cut into stomped on heroin to give its potency back far more than its sold by itself.

Which is why activists have been handing out free uncut heroin in front of the Vancouver police department lately.
