It depends a bit on the version for me, but MJ may actually be why I always was into red heads so much now that I think about it. Strangly enough m y second favorite is blonds/platinum blonds, so perhaps me reading spiderman comics had an effect on the kinds of women I found attractive as a man.

Ahh but they may have consented to being around female nudity (as in the actual sexual organs) and not male nudity, and even if someone identifies as a woman, if they still have a male organ, that would be something people (especially if they have not been notified about it) didn't consent to.

I would be ok with my daughter (if I had one) being around other naked women in a spa. I would probably want a friend or relative to be with her anyway (no probably about it) but i would be ok with her being there.

I would not be ok with her being around naked men, or even naked women who still had male apenndages. I'm not going to tell other people how to behave with their daughter, I won't fight to prevent a spa from allowing people of all genders or apendages being in a spa together, but I will fight to ensure that anyone going into such a spa is warned in advance, so they can make an informed decision.

I also would not want my son going into a universal spa, until he was older and I knew he would behave etc. I just don't think it's appropriate, but that again is my own beliefs, I wouldn't put my ideas on others.

But if you allow women with male genitalia into a "female" spa, without warning the other women (who have female body parts), I believe that is wrong. IF it's stated ahead of time, then everyone can decide to use it or not, but I don't think spas should be forced to allow it either. People should be allowed to associate only with others who have the same body parts when nude. You have the right to live as any gender you want, but there still should be rules about where you can go, and what you can do based on the body parts you currently have.

I mean, it is a different world then when I grew up. We didn't have the internet, tons of pron online etc, so I guess any of those crazy horny dudes have other outlets now. When I was a kid there was even a dude in elementary school who would go around feeling up the girls.

Maybe the "horny" guys are not common anymore, but there used to be guys who basically from puberty or sometime in the next few years were all about sex, seeing chicks naked etc.

While that may be outdated, people of my generation can't help thinking they are still out there, so I think it may be partially a generational thing, and younger people may not have seen people like that as much or even know about them (and maybe they don't even exist anymore).

Also lots of people who have never held a job in their life (most of the extremely rich) or have held "consulting jobs" etc, have alot of input (even if mainly with their money).

The people who actually have had to work for a living and survive based on the money they have coming in, should certainly have a say in the conversation.

I'm mostly pro-UBI as long as it's fair and there is a good advantage to still working (at least till we automate enough so that most don't need to work). I'm pro free (and available) health care for everyone for sure.

Problem with UBI is until we fix other things (like insane rental prices and the fact they go up and up the more money people have available to them) UBI might not help that much. Landlords would probably just increase rent prices to a point where they get all the UBI and everyone still has to work as many hours just to live.

We need SOME form of base standard of living/cost that can be used fairly evenly across the country (with exceptions near water/beaches etc), first before UBI could really work, either that or it would have to be based on living costs for each area etc.

I WOULD 100% support getting some form of UBI for anyone who is disabled, elderly (55 or older instead of freaking 62) or has already worked at least 20 hours a week for 30 years or more...which in some cases could include people under 50).

That really should be a push first in my opinion, since the current system is not going to work, and many of those people have no other options.

In the specific SPA situation above I agree, that was the mothers choice, although I don't think she knew in advance women with dicks would be in the spa (pretty sure she didn't from her response). While it's a bit questionable to bring a young girl into such a place, she did not expect her daughter to be in a mixed gender spa, and thought only people with female genitalia would be included.

In many places like the YMCA though kids change in a large changing room, often unsupervised by parents (especially for swim lessons etc). Personally I don't think they should be unsupervised, but that is the way they do it.

Plain and simply, I just believe if you feel you are a certain gender then they need to diferentiate the changing rooms/spas etc not by gender but by plumbing.

Look, I'm a bit overprotective of kids. I even had them look away (both genders) when a male janitor lifted his shirt and scratched his pot belly in front of them. Perhaps I am a prude but I just don't want kids (especially young girls) exposed to male genitalia. I'm also protective of women who have been sexually abused/raped etc.

I sadly have no kids of my own, I'm not female so this would not directly affect me. I general tend to try to stay out of such issues, since I have no horse in the race so to speak.

In this case though, I feel strongly that while everyone has the right to identify as whatever gender they are, there should be restrictions in any places involving children for sure, and honestly I find it's ........cruel, to not take into account the possible negative experiences of some of the other people using the same facilities.

I don't believe in discrimination, but, I also don't believe you need to flex your muscles and push to be treated the same in EVERY way, there are other places to stand your ground and push for equality. IF you have the same genitalia as the people in a (gender specific) facility, then you should use it.

IF you still the original parts you were born with, even if you feel you should have been born with other parts, I feel you should continue to use that gender's form of changing room or any room involving nudity.

I would say that wearing soemthing to cover such parts would also be ok to some degree (still has some problems but it would be a compromise).

IF all of that is impossible and anyone with whatever bits can be in any changing room etc, that should DEFINATLY be posted and made VERY clear to anyone who plans on using it.

I would not want my daughter to be exposed to male genitalia at a gym for instance and would totally NOT be ok if that happened (if I had a daughter of course). I would not be ok with that happening to my friends daughters that I care about etc either.

Yeah, Im an american, and we are overly concerned about nudity etc, but I can't help how I feel, and that is how I feel about kids. I'm not ok with children being exposed to that when going to the YMCA for instance for swim lessons or swimming in the pool in the summer. Luckily they have family changing rooms and so I would use that if I brought any kids to the pool, but honestly not everyone is going to know that is even needed and kids could easily be exposed without the parents even knowing, or not knowing till afterwards.

There ARE ways for everyone to be accommodated, it would just cost more money/require new construction or rooms etc. I don't thinks ok just to tell people that women with male genitalia are now allowed in female only changing rooms, so deal with it.

As I mentioned before, I have never felt comfortable being nude around strangers (heck even with doctors of either sex). I have put up with it due to neccesity, but given my choice I would change in private (in fact I actually use the toilet to pee in mens rooms with urinals if one is opened).

I think in general it's ok to most men to have women in their changing rooms/spas etc, so having the "male" spa's changing rooms be all gendered (any gender can be in them) would solve alot of the problems. Female changing rooms are ONLY for those who have female genitalia though. This is directly because many women have been sexually assaulted etc, and it's unfair to expect them to be nude in a spa etc with a person of any gender who has male genitalia. I personally think that is more of a burden on them, then it would be for someone who is trans to use a "all gender" spa.

This would literally only require you to change the name of male changing rooms and male spas, to all gender changing rooms and spas, and then just have a female only one as well.

It's not a perfect solution, but I think it's the best and "should" enable the greatest number of people to feel comfortable/safe etc. Yeah, nothing is perfect, but it's better then having .......ANY......male genitaled people in a female changing room/spa that still find women attractive (and just because someone identifies as a woman, doesn't mean they are not attracted to them, and also still have male genitalia.

If I was a woman or was converted into being a woman, I would still find them attractive, so if I actually did identify as female (which I don't), and went into a female spa etc, I would still find the women attractive. If I didn't have surgery and still had male genitalia, I could ever get aroused. I personally would NEVER do that as I would consider that extremely rude, and I would continue to use a male spa/changing room (even though I would feel even more uncomfortable doing so). I would probably just change in the bathroom at that point for sure.

I mean couldn't you have a covering or a cup etc that you can wear if your trans and going into a female spa, so nobody is offended?

I don't particularly like looking at male genetalia myself, and I certainly wouldn't want a daughter of mine exposed to such when going into a spa etc. I think it's reasonable to expect no male genetalia in a women's spa. If you identify as female but have not had surgery, is it that much to ask for you to cover up your junk?

Honestly even going that far doesn't seem enough because what stops guys who actually are not trans from dressing up and wearing a cup etc, to go into such spa's and see nude women. There are very horny guys who would probably totally do that.

I'm pro trans rights etc, but you ALSO need to consider other peoples rights and preferences, and women should not have to be forced to see male genetalia if they want to use a spa. I would, instead, suggest provided (all sex) spa's where anyone can go (male/female/non-designated etc). That does require a whole extra spa, but....perhaps not, perhaps the MALE spa can be designated that way, open to all genders, but the female spa is for people with female genitalia only. I don't think many guys would mind if a woman (or a trans woman etc) used the male spa, so that would probably work.

Honestly I'm not comfortable being naked with strangers in any setting lol, never liked it in gyms/changing rooms (Even though I had to do it often since I like to swim etc). I'm a guy and I STILL don't like it, if I was a girl and there were guys in my changing room etc (or people with guy parts), I would change in the toilet instead.

We do a yearly lease that becomes month to month afterwards until we sign another lease. The late fees, I did have to pay. But she tried to say it was double what it was. Yeah, I love where I live, but I'm spending more then I need to. I mainly stay here cause A: I'm lazy and B: I really like who i'm renting from. I'm 30 mins away from everything though which is really hard on me, so like you, I need to start looking around.

I really don't wanna move tbh unless I buy a mobile home or something as it's so hit or miss with roomates and or landlords and my current ones are friends and like family so I'm really lucky. That being said, I don't like driving anymore and it's so hard to go shopping or even go out for food etc, so moving is something I will have to do eventually anyway.

There's a key difference. Stim checks apply regardless of your employment. Unemployment only kicks in if you're not working. That difference is huge since it means that, if you earn more from unemployment than from work, you have no motivation to work.

In this crazy world about 40% of workers (previous to Covid) made less than they currently can get with unemployment (after the bonus 300$ per week). Heck most of em made less then JUST the bonus $300 per week.

Hell y eah, I agree, but....giving everyone more money in the US has negative side effects, since we are a supply and demand economy. The more money people have, the more demand there is for products, and therefore the more expensive they become.

Add in shortages of many things due to covid and the loss of workers (cause it's better for people to be on unemployment), and the cost of everything skyrockets.

So while I do think everyone deserves more money, more buying power etc, it's a similar situation to our medical system when obama care went into effect. Tons more people now had health coverage, but instead of building new hospitals, they actually closed quite a few down. We had more demand, but less hospitals.....which caused many people who desperatly needed medical attention to not get it (including my wife).

Now we are having a similar situation. Things are not too bad for people ON unemployment since they are getting a nice $2000+ from the gov every month, but because so many are getting that, people who are working for less than $15 a month, often 30 hours or less a week, because that is what their job offers, are seriously struggling. They are not making even close to $2000 a month (especially after taxes/deductions and costs (such as gas to get to work etc) AND they are working 5 days a week as well.

Here min wage is $13.50 which is much more then many places in the US. Someone who works 30 hours a week make about $400, but after taxes/deductions/tranportation costs etc, it's about $300 a week. They have a take home of $1200 a month or so, VS (in this state a min of 250$ or so a week for Unemployment + 300 stimulus =MIN of 550 x4) $2200 (no taxes) from unemployment.

One person stays home, has no expenses etc, and has $1000 extra to spend each month, and due to the fairly high state min wage, it's better in WA then many other places (though the rents here are pretty high).

This situation is untenable, but should in theory get better in September as long as bonus benifits end then. The real question is if the prices will settle down at that point or remain inflated. There are a ton of jobs available right now, but not jobs people would really want, and the VERY BRIEF period when they were offering $18+ an hour for normally min wage jobs, has already passed, it's back down to 13.50-14 for most of the jobs I see on indeed etc.

I worked in landlord tenant law for awhile. Do you have a year non-month to month lease? She can't change things mid lease, she can't charge you for mowing the grass etc unless it's in the lease (even if it's month to month), and as long as you pay by check etc, you have proof of when you paid rent and she can't charge you late fees on that.

Lots of protections for tenants in most states, so your landlord shouldn't be able to screw you over easily. Sadly if it's month to month, if she doesn't like that your standing up for your rights, she can just ask you to leave (and get a tenant that is more of a pushover instead).

Greedy landlords suck.

I mean, the rent increases could be a big problem for me long term. I am EXTREMELY lucky that I rented a basement with my current landlords in Tacoma 2 years ago. I am, very friendly, and helped them out a bunch here or there, and gave up a room I was renting (Without changing the rent I paid) so they could have storage in the basement etc, so they offered for me to move with them when the sold the house, and live here for the same amount I was paying.

I could probably find a room to rent for less, but not much less then I am paying now, and I certainly wouldn't have as much privacy. The BASE rental prices for a 1 bedroom now though are rediculous, and they are just continuing to go up.

If I was unable to rent a room/basement like this, I would have to try and work full time and that would be very hard on me, and it's not something i'll be able to do long term.

I could go on disability, but I believe that would only pay around $1000/month if I did (and I hate the idea of doing that). I'm ok with social security but I can't get that for another 10 years, and it will only be about $1200 if I get it at that age.

A stimulus check now, would be nice, but wouldn't make a big diff to me, but if that check means rent prices go up another $100 a month now, long term it would have a huge impact on me (especially if costs for everything else went up as well).

There has to be something we can do to curtail the insane rental price increase, the doubling of the average cost of food etc. They are going to price most people out of beef at least pretty soon, the prices here are insane already, heading towards $15-20$ a pound depending on the type of meat your getting, even ground beef is almost $10/lb now base price. Chicken which used to be dirt cheap is heading to old beef prices at this point etc.

I would love to believe that the prices will go down after covid ends and supply/demand becomes more regular, but I have never seen evidence of prices going back down after they went up in my life, so I highly doubt that will happen.

Honestly if they did do a UBI at least in many places you would need to give something like $2000 a month for most people to live, since not everyone can rent a room/basement. That is significantly more than many are getting on disability or social security right now, and are being expected to live on that.

What I REALLY need is to buy a mobile home somewhere like Forks WA where they are 10-20k and the lot rent there is around $200 a month, even if prices go up over time, i'll be able to afford that. Been to busy working etc to go up there and look into the mobile homes available etc. I wish I had bought one before covid happened as there was about 5 for around 10k. The 1 hour drive to a safeway detered me though.

See my problem with stimulus checks is they are not UBI and it's a temp solution that has negative long term consequences.

Specifically to those who are older, but are not super wealthy/have a ton of money saved up and are living on a fixed income.

While alot of the increases in cost have been due to covid, and hopefully they will go down again in the future (though that rarely seems to happen) the cost of living everywhere has seemed to skyrocket in the last year or so, and part of that is due to the unemployment stimulus checks etc. This has caused people to be able to pay more for rent, and therefore a higher demand for rentals, which due to the way things work in this country, it's increased the rental prices almost everywhere (they just were talking about this on the news in fact).

The cost of food has also skyrocketed due to covid (lack of workers, hacking meat plants etc), which is probably not going to go down soon either.

More stimulus checks mean more debt, which also means the money anyone elderly does have saved is worth less. This isn't a big deal for those who are well off or rich, and have plenty of money for retirement, but if all you have is a bit to suppliment social security with (which isn't nearly enough to even rent most places now...I'll be getting $1100 a month when I qualify for it in 10 years...if I'm alive....which I might not even be able to rent a room with by then).

IF they implement UBI and it's enough for you to actually live off, then that would be fine and i'm all for that, but there are to many people who are being squeezed harder and harder, who can't work anymore (I'm on the verge of that just because of my eyes), and don't have any other source of income to deal with the higher and higher cost of living.

So do UBI, or restrict the Stimulus checks more to only people who really need it, or SOMETHING, because just causing us to have more and more trillions in debt, devaluing the dollar and causing more competition for housing etc, is going to have VERY LARGE NEGATIVE repercussions for those on fixed incomes and just barely getting by.

He definitely didn't halve ALL life (because we don't see like half the trees immediately disappear), so presumably he's drawing the line somewhere, but they're pretty vague on precisely where he's drawing the line.

Most dialogue from other people implies he's only killing fully self-aware species, but that could just be their own bias showing, because people get way more riled up if you're killing people than they will if you're also killing cows or insects or bacteria.

Yeah, he states the reasoning is lack of resources/over population, so destroying half of all life would get rid of resources and defeat the purpose.

Sentient though is generally considered being self aware, which would still include many "resources" and wouldn't make sense to destroy half of it.

As you mentioned he probably meant Sapient life, or high conciousness perhaps, but even that is a bit hard to determine. Honestly his whole thing never really made sense, why not just double the amount of resources instead, or half the birth rate in the future or tons of other much less evil/horrid solutions.

Jeff did not seem to like her. Haven't seen that season so no clue if that is the case or not, just didn't seem like it from that video.

Every stimulus check both devalues the current money we have, and also seems to be increasing the cost for everything as more people have more money and so the demand for things and cost for them go up.

I'm not saying it's a totally bad idea, but it should be needed, and there seems to be alot of jobs available that would cause the need for a stimulus check to be less.

I would certainly require anyone who wants to be eligable for one to have had a vaccine shot, and be actively looking for work/working or disabled etc.

While the job itself can factor in, enjoying your job is more dependent on you, than the job.

I have enjoyed many jobs that most people consider horrid. I enjoyed working at Carl's Jnr (fast food) for instance when I was 19 and going to vocational school to be an electronic tech. I loved cooking in the back, pushing myself to do it as fast as possible etc, it was a blast. I enjoy customer service, interacting with lots of different people in a positive way and making their day slightly better.

There are some jobs I could not enjoy, like when I worked at Sears in Vancouver WA in Sales (TVs) and nobody would every shop there due to there being no sales tax right across the bridge. I can't STAND just standing there (and I can't enjoy that at all).

Some people have GREAT jobs but still hate them, and others have jobs almost nobody would want, but still find ways to have fun at work, be challenged and have the time fly by.

As I have gotten older I find it's harder to enjoy many jobs, I have a hard time standing all day now, I get tired easier (so have less energy which makes it harder to push myself and keep time moving fast) and most importantly I'm just burnt out/have done so many things etc, that it's hard to find new skills to improve or things to master. That always kept me entertained/busy/interested in the work I did when younger but now A: I am already good at so many things and B: I'm less interested in learning new things since there are so many skills I have already forgotten, so it's not as worthwhile to master something anymore.

Mostly I look for work where I am directly helping people as much as possible (Such as being a caregiver right now) since there is a direct feeling of accomplishment and the knowledge you made someones life a bit better after doing your job. I don't think I could be happy working many jobs anymore both due to health reasons, and because I just would be bored out of my mind at this point, but I can't really learn as fast as I used to, have bad eyesight/memory etc.

I haven't always been that way. When I was married I usually lived in the best places because it made my wife happy. Back before we bought a home we lived at the South Shore Beach and Tennis Club apartments in Alameda CA. Not only are those luxury apartments with a view of the water (in the Bay Area...only way you can get a view is renting), but they were right on the beach as well (they freaking raised the rent by 10% a year which was the max).

After selling my home though, there was no reason to pay $1000+ a month rent, especially because I at least PLANNED on traveling along (damn you covid), and didn't wanna pay large amounts for somewhere I wasn't using.

Meanwhile now I rent this room/basement, but I'm the only one living in the house, it's on the water as well (Steamboat Island Washington), with a beautiful view of the water. You couldn't rent the home for $4000 a month (it has 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 stories, large garage etc), so it's a really great deal (only prob is it's 30 mins to civilization from here, and lots of deer at night which makes driving dangerous).

But yeah renting rooms just makes sense, means I don't need to work much to keep up with my expenses, and traveling isn't such a waste of money.

If I rented an apartment, it wouldn't be nearly this nice, would cost more etc. I would totally buy a mobile home first before renting an apartment since i'd probably make money over the time i lived there (even with the high taxes when you sell properties in WA and the 6% for realtors fees).

I'm still considering moving up to Forks WA where they have 10k mobile homes and the lot rent is only 220$/month (Which includes water and sewage). Those mobile homes will DEF go up in value over the years, and you are paying like 100$ a year in taxes only. Lot rent + utilities and internet would be $300 or so a month, so significantly less then i'm currently paying, and when/if I did ever sell it, i'd probably make at least 10k profit (maybe more) which would mostly pay for the lot rent/utilites I had spent along the way.

I mean, I pay $600 a month now to rent a room (with it's own bathroom), and I pretty much have the whole downstairs to myself (share the kitchen upstairs). Before this I rented a room at the College Glen Apartments in Lacey WA, total rent was $1100 a month, it was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom, so even with utilities/internet we all payed only $400 a month. Shared kitchen/living room, but honestly I never used the living room at all, and rarely used the kitchen, so it didn't matter.

So would I pay $1200+ a month for a 1 bedroom? Hell freaking no. MAYBE if I was young enough to still be dating or something, but at this point in my life even $600 is kinda a waste (but I live on the water, have total privacy etc so it's totally worth it).

Spending so little means I only have about $900 total in expenses a month including car insurance/cell phone and food (Which are my only expenses outside of rent. Utilities/internet are included in the $600).

Min wage is 13.50 here, but most jobs pay at least 15 (and my current one pays 16.75), which means I only need to work about 15-16 hours a week to keep up with my expenses. I would NOT work more hours just to rent a 1 bedroom apartment under any circumstances. I might do it to be more centrally located, but there are other rooms to rent etc that are the same price i'm paying now, or less (like the one at college glen) so I wouldn't do that either.

ONLY if I was making 80k+ a year would I even consider renting an apartment at this point as it's just throwing money away, and even if you do make 80k+ due to taxes etc, it's STILL a huge waste.
