| wolfy42 08/22/21 3:23:01 AM #30 | So, i have favorite builds for each class from the old days. I can't remember them EXACTLY, and certainly can't remember all the eq etc I had on me, but I thought I would post a few incase anyone wants to try them once the game comes out. First off, I had a hybrid assassin. I made a FAQ for it back in the day, that was very popular on this board. The trick is simple, you don't need to use any charge up attacks to use a finishing blow for the assassin. This lets you only put 1 point in all the pre-reqs (including the one charge up that you actually use, to drain hp/mana (but 1 point is enough in it because of +skills...which gets you to 90% hp mana with 2 charges or 180% with 3...more then enough to keep you using dragon kick nonstop). The only martial arts skill you actually use at all is dragon kick, which teleports you around (can be used to speed up traveling a bit as well, though probably need to use a mouse to have any chance of doing that). Total skill points used in martial tab is 25. This still maximizes your martial damage btw, because Dragon Kick itself does WAY MORE damage per use (without being charged up) then any charge up skill would add to it. At skill level 30 (with plus skills) Dragon kick adds 825% damage and 625% attack. None of the charge up skills add damage at all while charging (and they add way less AR). Meanwhile in Shadow Arts you just put 1 point in everything (unless you don't wanna toss venom on, but it's a nice boost for 1 point after +skills). Total Shadow art skill points used 10. Most of your skill points go into traps as do all your +1 skill GC's. Assassins don't have alot of synergies, but the traps do. The Death Sentry does the same damage as the lightning trap, but also has corpse explosion as well. Corpse explosion is 40-80% (random) of each enemies life that it kills. Personally I think that is more useful then the bit more damage you can get by putting points into shock web/charged bolt sentry to boost lightning trap a bit more. If you do go the death sentry route you want to put 9 points into fire sentry. This gives you 8 (without + skills) traps per cast, and with +skills you get more per cast then lightning sentry. Meanwhile max blade shield for some sick damage to anything that gets close to you, and max lightning sentry to boost death sentries damage as much as possible. That leaves you 1 skill point left over. Now there are a few ways to change things. Blade shield for instance, you don't need to max. Maxing it doesn't even double the damage as your base damage is 1/4th your weapon + the damage bonus. Higher points also increases duration though (and mana cost)..which is the biggest draw for me. That being said + skills are a thing and you'll prob have at least +10 to your trap tree. Blade shield with 1 point invested and +10 to skills only (and you can get much more then that long term for just that tree, the main thing is you generally want +all skills over just +trap skills. Still once you get +1 trap skill GC's even focusing on +all skills (which you can get +10 pretty easy as a druid), Just 5 +1 trap skill GC's would give you +15 to your traps. Even with only 10 though it lasts 70 seconds and the bonus damage difference between 1 point and 20 isn't really a big deal. That is the best place to "lose" points until you make it to higher levels (if you ever do). Anyway, I think that was my build from back in the day, at least it's close, and it rocked pretty hard, especially before you have an Enigma. It was a GREAT alternative to running a sorc first so you have teleport. Assassins get a natural movement speed boost from Burst of speed but also the finishing move dragons kick can teleport you to enemies, which can let you move through areas (especially in combo with bursts of speeds base increase) as fast as someone with an enigma (or a sorc with teleport). Anyway that is my favorite assassin build. It used to rock, and it works GREAT at the start of a ladder while your trying to get currency together etc. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/22/21 2:31:23 AM #29 | aHappySacka posted... OTT: besides the bugs the only thing I've seen that's bad about the open beta (or even the early beta) is that not all classes are available and you're limited to act 2 so you're not able to get to level 30 without excessive amounts of grinding. Well, there are a few things, it does seem to run a bit slower, and the keyboard/mouse setup isn't as streamlined as the old version yet (probably will be fixed). It also hickups sometimes on my computer, but then again it's recommended ram/gpu etc is insanely high (vs insanely low for old D2), so that makes some sense on a labtop. I have no prob paying 30$ if I get more out of it, and enjoy the game more. I will miss trading, but in order to trade I either have to pay $10 a month for playstation plus, or play on my laptop. Meanwhile if I play the old version I can use Pluggy, which lets me play offline with all the bonuses of online (including players 8 etc, uber diablo etc). So, I'm not saying it's bad, I just don't think it's worth it on my pc (since I already have it, my monitor is tiny so I can't notice the graphics upgrade, and the system reqs are huge in comparison). --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/22/21 1:26:05 AM #27 | Well I was having too much fun and was like, ugh, this is all gonna get deleted, I hate that....so I decided to stop playing for now. But then!!!!!!! I was like, why not just play my old version with pluggy setup already? So I loaded it up (had to download a previous update for it to work with pluggy. And man it runs so much better on the PC then the new version does. It's not even close. If I'm playing offline chars only that means no trading....but it does give you long term goals (getting some rune words is going to be impossible only offline). Still honestly I don't care about the graphics and this way I can play now. Maaaaaybe I'll get the new version next month, I have a few friends who are getting it that I could possibly play with. I won't be paying for Playstation play or whatever the online fee is though. Really wish they didn't charge that for things like D2, it's rediculous. I'm not gonna pay $10 a month just to play D2. If I'm playing on my laptop, the graphics are a freaking waste cause it's a small screen. If I was playing on my ps4 on my huge tv, THAT would make the graphics matter at least a bit (not much to me, but it would be noticable). Honestly I can barely tell the diff on my laptop between them though, and the old version really does run much smoother (sure they are still working on it). From what I understand though they are running the new system on top of the old one, using all the old code but using the new system to upgrade the graphics etc. It seems to me that it's causing some lag/disconect between them, cause the old version plays better from what I have seen. Honestly I would pay the $30 to play it again if they add more stuff or it takes off and there is a large community, new updates (more runewords maybe, perhaps add a new class etc). Pluggy gives you all the online stuff, offline, so you can play anywhere without an internet connection (nice for when I bring my laptop with me, though now that I know I can use my phone as a hotspot not as important anymore), you have a great shared stash (and infinite stash space...so even better then the new version). I will miss picking up gold automatically but I can live without it. I do like using the controller, but....honestly keyboard and mouse works MUCH better with the old version (or seems to), and it's what I'm used to. The advantage of the mouse lets you directly aim at what you want, while the controller tries to figure out what your aiming at. That isn't nearly as good and I don't know how well it'll work with things like teleport long term. So for now i'm putting the new version on a bakcburner, already have a new Druid char in the old version about to end act 1, with a full wolf army (5 normal ones for now). I may upgrade to the new version later when it releases, gonna hold off and see how the launch goes probably and perhaps wait to see if it ever goes on sale (not likely fron blizzard but who know). Would be nice if they: Let you purchase it for multiple platforms at once (IE PC AND PS4 for the same price). Gave a discount if you owned the originals ($20 instead of $30). Let you use their servers instead of Playstations so you don't have to pay freaking $10 a month to play (letting you own it on multiple for one price would mean you could play solo on ps4 though and party on PC. Honestly that seems like a better value (buying it twice) then paying $10 a month for as long as you want to play it on ps4). --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/21/21 7:31:25 PM #10 | Yeah, I was honestly pretty close to stopping at first due to the stamina mechanic, I don't have patience for that anymore. Pally helps with that alot, and I played him before the druid. Also luckily my druid setup only really requires points into dex for bow usage, a tiny bit of str for armor (and second tier very fast bow) and everything else in vitality. That helps alot with stamina drain (really didn't notice problems on him). Pally just sucked because he needed most of the stats AND didn't get vigor for quite awhile. I 100% agree on just removing the mechanic at this point. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Friends don't make their friends die Hanz. Psychopathic friends do. |

| wolfy42 08/21/21 6:48:03 PM #8 | Ok, maybe I should be more specific why I don't like D3 as much. First, D2 actually was FUN to level up new characters, try new builds, get good equipment over time that mattered etc. In D3, you can max out a character in a day, without trying hard. There are no builds (other then based on equipment you get) because you can switch skills around at will. Make a class and spend the hours needed to get to level 70 and your done. You have paragon levels which add a bit, so at least some reason to get exp, but your done building a character and just struck on farming for equipment only. D2 on the other hand you can play each class for many many days just trying 1 build. You keep getting awesome items meanwhile, that can help all your chars (and now there is a shared stash so moving items over is cake). For D2 you keep getting rares/runes etc that are useful while playing as each new character (though mostly past nightmare ACT II for +1 skill charms for trade etc). This gives you incentive to play, as while you are making a new build/char, your also boosting the power and strength of all of them (getting an enigma etc). For D3 my main problem is that I just don't feel it after maxing a characters level. Running for loot in D3 just isn't enough, and paragon levels are just meh. Also, I don't know what it is exactly, but even the combat in D3....it's better in a way, but in a bad way for me, it's MINDLESS, and repetative (extremely). Now I'll admit I didn't LOVE doing Baal runs etc over and over end game in D2, but even those were more enjoyable than the end game system in D3. For me, even after playing THOUSANDS of hours of D2, I was able to pick the game up yesterday and just run with it, having a blast the whole time. The whole running thing is annoying (really wish they would change that at least a bit, maybe increase base stamina regen etc, or make you use stamina potions automatically or something) but honestly even for my druid (no vigor), I got used to it fast and it's not really a problem anymore. Honestly what I'd REALLY like them to do is change the ACT II defensive mercenary from Defiance to Vigor lol. Then EVERY char could have vigor, you just would sacrifice a different mercenary aura for it. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Friends don't make their friends die Hanz. | wolfy42 08/21/21 5:31:38 PM #5 | Having just played (all yesterday) alot of D2 again........i can say without a doubt (not that there was a doubt) that D2 is STILL better than D3 even with all the upgrades etc. In fact, i played D3 just a few weeks ago. Now that I knew about not playing through the story, I was able to get chars to max level VERY fast, and just run endgame. This was more fun then playing through the horrid campaign again (unlike D2 where I used to enjoy playing through it with new chars all the time), but I still got bored fairly fast. Meanwhile I currently have a few builds for each class in D2 I can't wait to play through and build up. I wanna do a Summon Druid of course (always a favorite of mine), but I want a Cold Aura/Zeal Pally with maxed holy shield as well (super defensive, high damage and fun), I love my hybrid Assassins, can't wait to do them (they basically spend a few points in martial skills and max out traps, it's an awesome build), and I have a build for each other class I wanna run through eventually. Can easily see myself enjoying the game for a few hundred more hours. Got bored with D3 last time in maybe 20-30. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/21/21 5:18:55 PM #24 | How a game this old is still so much fun, I don't know, but i think i'll buy it again (Even though I don't care about the graphics), just for the controller support. It's funny but I used to do "fun" characters where I would try to get as far as possible using non-primary skills (like ravens...I beat normal with them, but not nightmare). This let me kinda know all the best combos for only playing through act II normal lol. By far my favorite though is the Pally who starts off with 1 point in might, all points into holy fire and bonus points into resist fire (worth it early on). Once you get close to level 15 (about level 12), start saving for Vigor (just 3 points) so you can get it right away once it's available. Long term reset your skills (normal diff use which is all we have right now) and change to cold/cold resist and 1 point into vigor as well. Honestly I'm not bothering switching this weekend because cold won't out damage fire. Prob gonna start when it launches though with that build. Initially (as with most characters early on), I'll run with a very fast 3 socketed bow with the best damage gems I can put in (all 1 element and not fire early on and cold long term). Longterm I'll switch to zeal of course and stop using a bow, max holy shield, but i'll probably stick with cold aura for the slow down and high damage increase. Just curious if Zeal will get me the AR I need by itself without fanatacism. Might have to use a later skill reset to ditch cold aura for fanatacism, but i hope not. Cold Aura's attack slowdown + holy shields extremely high block rate (and much easier to cast now with a controller!!) should make for very good defenses. Just wish I could make the char now. I also love my Wolf Druid (Always will be using a bow lol). Only downside is no vigor which is really useful. My wolves eat things up though, but I just don't do the mass output of the pally damage wise (and certainly not vs bosses). Anyway gonna probably pre-order it after this weekend as I'm really having fun and there is a bunch more builds for me to play and enjoy. I really SHOULD start as a sorc or if not an assassin, since they generally run the fastest long term (Sorc's teleport is basically life till you get an enigma...which I won't be getting anytime soon I'm guessing). You can sorta skip/run through as an Assassin though as well....so I could do that, and my old hybrid build (I posted a FAQ on here eons ago for it) is still insane. | wolfy42 08/21/21 2:31:06 AM #14 | Yeah i gave it a serious try, even tried the controller, which has some potential but....just too many things don't work well with it sadly. Love being able to run with it, they should let you use BOTH the controller and keyboard, the combo would work well, you could switch between moving with the controller and mouse at will and aim your spells with the mouse and fire em off with the controller or the mouse buttons (basically instead of having to hit the # keys or the f1 keys etc, you hit x/y/a/b and the up/down etc arrow keys for stash slots etc like on the controller setup. You would have the best of both worlds. Movement is great with the controller, but aiming sucks, picking up items sucks etc. Anyway was more fun as the pally. Man I didn't remember them making the fire/cold/shock auras so powerful early game. Great in combo with a bow especially early on (almost over powered in a way). Have a pally weapon/shield on switch with +3 holy fire/cold/shock on it (and some smite for stun) and you have options if you don't wanna be shooting (obviously with the mouse not keyboard). Think pally is easier with this setup starting off then Sorc at this point since you do similar damage without any need for mana. You also have enough points to put some into Vigor so you can not die of impatience with the run system. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Just make it a toggle so you can keep it if you want. They did that with some other stuff I think. Yeah, i'm considering doing pally initially at least just for vigor lol, but I may just give up on it. I have done this a million times, but there was a point durring a new ladder. I don't really enjoy doing the initial start up when you get decent eq, and without trading etc, it's going to be slower harder then the old days, and we only have a few days (and limited to act II) which is really going to curtail how much you can do. It is nice to get to see how the game looks/plays, but.....honestly, I can't see much difference from the old version so far. | wolfy42 08/20/21 6:13:57 PM #4 | I would have ditched the whole stamina setup for running to be honest. It seems to slow the game down especially when your just starting. Since you also won't be able to get enigma's etc easy/fast probably I can see it being a real annoyance. Started running as a druid which I kinda liked in the old days, but may restart as something else. The druid shapeshifting was meh at best early on, and the summons take awhile to really get going (and your limited in how far you can go currently). The better starting char for most ladders in the old days was the sorc or Assassin since both could teleport (or semi-teleport) and didn't require too much good eq to get things done. Assassin is not available now, so I may do a sorc instead. Get a good roll on a early staff with +3 warmth and +3 to Ice blast/bolt and your set through most of the currently available game (and don't really need to worry about eq much). Still, everyone is gonna be dog slow, not sure if I'll even get through act II to be honest. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Friends don't make their friends die Hanz. | Topic | i think we can all agree that the spear is the best weapon |
| wolfy42 08/16/21 9:17:50 PM #18 | I compare most weapons to the shield. Some, like the fist, have obvious advantages over the shield, while having other things that are not as good. The fist for instance can lay down the damage FAST.....which is freaking sweet. A very good player probably loves that weapon the most (also if you have gotten deap in the game and obtained a ton of upgrades etc). The spear though is really hard for me. It has a good range on it's melee attack, but no defenses at all. Honestly the shield seems better for melee attacks even though it has less range, because you can block most damage with the shield and shield rush etc. But....a BIG difference is the specials. While a shield throw hits multiple opponents and can do sick damage doing so (especially with certain upgrades like 200% damage to special after dashing etc), the spear has, in my opinion, the WORST ranged attack, much like a cast almost....I say BLECH to the spears special. It is by far and away my least used weapon, even over the sword. The shield, to me, is the cake weapon to use. It might not be the best long term due to damage and player skill, but if your learning the game, the block ability that works on pretty much everything is freaking gold. The shield throw in combo with dash lets you just obliterate everything without getting hit. If you can get deflect on dash + dash gives shield 200% special damage, you are a freaking killing machine. | Topic | I'm bisexual and my dick is huge. AMA. |
| wolfy42 08/16/21 3:41:33 PM #23 | So a few questions. First, what do you do to prevent your dick from touching the side of the bowl/water in the bowl when you sit down to poop? I'm not huge, but above average and I HATE when that happens (doesn't much anymore luckily). I imagine someone with a huge cock must have a much larger time avoiding that. If your bi, then you have probably fucked guys, so do they orgasm without cumming, and can they like orgasm multiple times like girls? For that matter, have you like fucked a guy and a girl and then had them compare notes? like that would be a way to actually compare sex for a guy and a girl if the guy had fucked someone before, and the girl had anal as well. Do you, have you, had a harem, basically a group of guys/girls that are DTF anytime you want and basically on call? I wonder if people actually have those. Do you ever, get just tired of sex or being in high demand? When I was young I dated this chick and she just wanted sex all the freaking time. Like even the first time we had sex it was ALL night long, over and over and eventually I had to pretend to fall asleep cause she still wanted to go. Seriously it was over 10 hours. Luckily that hasn't happened to me much, but I imagine with a large cock comes large responsibilities. Finally with a huge cock do you still use your hands/tongue/toys etc, or does your cock just overwhelm everyone so much that you don't even bother? I always liked to mix it up. Mine just reached to my belly button but that is still longer than most, there was quite a few times I couldn't get all of it in (or it was painful for the girl) especially with anal. I imagine a huge cock might run into quite a few times when the girl just can't handle it...which could be really frustrating (although I guess she could use her hands/feet and maybe still use her mouth (or at least tongue). --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Honestly think shield is the best for him tbh (shield for me is good for all of them). Hydra though is REALLY easier with ranged attacks since the heads all do a slam attack if your near them. You can dash/attack/dash attack but you'll still probably get hit. If you dash/shield throw/dash/shield throw, you can take the outer heads without taking any or much damage (especially if you have dash deflects), and you can just stand back from the main head and shield throw at it, and with deflect special, you'll get rid of it's ranged shots as well (except when it does the chain shots, just dash away for that). Basically the first 2 enemies are cake with ranged, the third boss fight is way easier (I think) both with ranged and with something that bounces, and the final fight is also easier. I like the shield the most but the spear or in theory (I have not done it ) the bow could work as well (Think I'll try the bow again, I was mostly using Shield when I played last). --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/16/21 12:52:34 AM #3 | I didn't HATE the bow, but.....and this is just me, once I got the shield, I just didn't see the purpose of the bow. Honestly even the spear is better for me, although there was a few combos I liked with the bow before I got the shield/spear (got bow before both of them). I did find running with ranged (which pretty much meant the bow) was alot easier initially then the sword. Actually I have not run with the bow in eons so I really should give it another shot. But yeah, Shield just rocks since it bounces between enemies, seemed to do more damage, had a charge that can deflect as well (though I usually have dash reflect anyway) etc. Shield gives you a strong melee attack when that is better also. Bow isn't HORRID but if I remember right I used the multi-shot special most of the time with that since it didn't need to be aimed as much, but it's damage doesn't come close to comparing to a shield throw. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/16/21 12:49:12 AM #38 | Black_Crusher posted... The main reason I didn't want the good and bad to cancel each other out is because there's already a No Bonus choice, which means you don't have to choose a penalty (so essentially it's the same thing as a cancel) You are not forced to take the same penalty though, so you can get +1 attack but -25% gold for instance, and if you did implement the leveling system, you could boost attack as the positive and gold as the negative (but until you boosted something else you would be stuck ALWAYS taking gold as the negative for attack till there was another level 2 negative. Balancing them out just means you get the same bonus or penalty basically, so if you take +1 attack you can get -25% gold or -1 defense or -3 hp etc. Lets you have more options on how to play your character, but the positive and negatives are fairly close. No bonus just means your neutral with no changes either way. It is a bit hard to balance, especially when only having one class right now (so it's all factored in towards a warrior). The hp bonus for instance could be MUCH more useful for a wizard, and the penalty could be insanely bad for a wizard (while -1 attack might not mean much to a wizard at all if they are using spells for instance (not even sure how that will work). So basically it would just allow players to have a bit of choice on how a character plays. And yeah, the stuff I was mentioning is just general ideas and certainly long term ones, not even close to needing to do that till after you have the full game set, and players can actually run through it and finish it. No point in coding stuff for AFTER a player finishes it, until thats already done (hehe). Still it's good to have potential long term ideas already in mind. As an example you could have an alternative enemy that is super hard to fight on the last level (before the end game boss if there will be one). It's way harder then the boss, but you don't have to fight it (and have to actually choose to enter where it is, and fight it). Defeating it could give you an achievement though, and could require leveling up various ability through additional runs etc, giving players a reason to play over and over to get it. Things like that can draw players in and cause them to play a game far after they would have normally stopped:) --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." In theory you could also set it up to fuck yourself I guess but that would take a bit more work lol. IF you could make the portal connected to something (like a mirror etc) and attach it to your behind, you could have the other end stationary and fuck yourself like crazy. | wolfy42 08/15/21 11:04:56 PM #35 | Black_Crusher posted... I ended up making it XP +15%, with Child Support at $25. I think that's a pretty good compromise. That does sound more fair, although if the bonus it +25%, couldn't you just make the pentaly -25% so that positive and negatives cancel out? Could do the same with most of them (and possibly even make more options) +1 attack or -1 attack , +1 defense or -1 defense, +25% gold or -25% gold, +5 max hp or -5 max hp etc. That way they balance out exactly, but it gives you more choices for flavor over all. For a warrior I'm thinking +1 attack is mostly pointless (Even though I really liked it at first) since you get so much from just leveling. Honestly +15% exp is totally worth losing 1 attack as a warrior just because you'll level faster and make up for that with just 1 extra level (not to mention getting the bonuses faster etc). +1 defense is meh, nice out of the gate, but eventually you get defense from lots of equipment slots if you fill them. Armour/hat/boots etc. That can make +1 or -1 defense a much smaller difference. The exp bonus is pretty large even at 15% tbh, but probably becomes less useful the higher level you are (and eventually makes no difference since you'll still be stuck on a higher level for along time). Max hp actually could be one of the best since you can heal up fairly easily with bandages etc out of combat, and one of the easy ways to die is to be one shotted by crocks, special attacks, gold chests etc. Warriors again need this less, but i'm guessing the other classes will have less max hp then warriors. Anyway looks good the way it is now, but I would consider maybe just making the bonuses/negatives equal. Also long term, possibly have those be things you can upgrade between runs (gold left at end of run can be used to purchase upgrades). This allows you to increase a bonus/penalty. But limits you to choosing a bonus/penalty of the same level (so if you upgrade +1 damage to +2 damage, you also have to choose 1 penalty to upgrade to level 2 as well, same for level 3 etc). This could give a long term mechanic for upgrading characters without destroying the balance (since you get a penalty as well). Could be interesting for some builds (gold for instance could start at -25% then go to -50% at level 2, -75% at level 3 and no gold at all for level 4 (not smart to take that for sure). You would have to change hp to be a either a lower amount (say 3 a pop), or a %, in order for there to be 4 potential levels. That is even saying the other classes actually start with 12 hp or more (alternatively upgrades could be PER CLASS as well, meaning you need to get them for each class seperately, and you could even code the hp increase/loss per class (so like 1 for mages/2 for thief/cleric and 3 for warrior) If mages start with something like 8 hp, thieves/clerics at like 12 and warriors (14 or 16 I forget), then that would be a large bonus when maxed for a level 1 mage (+4 hp would be 50% increase and prevent them from being one shotted by anything other than a croc initially). Warriors meanwhile could net a whole 12 bonus hp initially, making them able to take a few croc hits even by the time they get to them. Anyway just a few ideas. Still have not played since last update (finally got internet back though). I will do another play through soon though, I like the game so far, my ideas are just general ones to try and improve longevity and keep people interested/playing after they actually finish/win through the first time etc. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." But pepperoni doesnt because of the shape Probably Yeah, good point, the shape is round and floaty, but I actually tear my pepporoni up alot to make it more...chaotic....cool etc......and it still is on top of the cheese. I don't put a TON of cheese on top of the other toppings, but I also don't ensure there is no cheese covering them either, and it still tastes good. Pepporoni that is covered though is just a greasy mess and not crunchy at all, very likely to be pulled out when you bite into the pizza etc (whole) since you can't bite through it as well. You can also actually do pepporoni cubes (some places use that) which will sink down more like other toppings, but again, you don't get the crunch which i like, so i never do that. As i have gotten older and my taste buds are dying (my soul is crying), I use more toppings now. I don't taste just the cheese as well anymore (Even if it's really good cheese), and so I like at least onions/peppers and mushrooms on my pizza usually with pepporoni as well and often sausage (sometimes olives). I remember the old days though, the hunt for the perfect cheese, finding places so good any topping was sacrilege. God pizza was so good back then. Maybe it still would be, it's been years and the pizza I can actually get here isn't as good, but I also notice I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. I might not be able to appreciate the really good cheese pizzas anymore. I think I'll avoid every trying one again so I don't find that out. | wolfy42 08/15/21 9:59:08 PM #11 | I know everyone is different, and some people are horny rascals into their 90's (at 90 my grandfather had a big get together for his birthday and he was dating 3 girls at the same time!!), but for me, my already fairly low sex drive dropped drastically in my mid to late 40's. I was already a demi-sexual (even if that wasn't a known term back then for the most part) and never into casual sex, but before 40 or so, I still wanted to be ina sexual relationship etc (with my wife at that point). Once she passed though, i was over 40 and even though I've dated a bit, there is no urgency to knocking boots with someone anymore. If I had never had sex by the age of 40, I probably would never have started. Even as a Demi-sexual when I was 19 I HAD to know what it was like because everyone made such a big deal about it. That is the only time I did a casual hook up, and while it was enjoyable, I didn't think it was worth risking pregnancy for etc. Didn't have sex again till I met my wife 7 years later (though we certainly had sex alot before we got married). Anyway, how anyone can ignore all the talk etc about how GREAT sex is and how much effort people spend trying to have it etc, and NOT have sex throughout their late teens and 20's, I don't know....but if you can make it all the way to 40 and not do so, I just don't see the point of starting. Since I also think we seriously need population control, people who don't want to have sex (or people who at least ensure they are not going to create babes) I think are actually help save the planet and should be commended. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | wolfy42 08/15/21 9:52:19 PM #3 | There actually is a reason, most of the topings are fine baked and don't need to be crispy. Pepporoni though is better if Crispy (hence why I prefer it on pizza rather than in a calzone). If you cover the pepporoni with cheese, it won' get crispy and all the grease is packed into the pizza. If you have the pepporoni on top, the grease actually partially evaporated and the pepporoni with dry up/become crispy and super tasty. When I make my own pizza I sometimes cover the other toppings a bit with light cheese (onions/bell peppers/mushrooms/sausage etc), but I always have only a sprinkling of parm on top of the pepporoni if that. Just tastes better that way. Also I heart pizza. I would make a pizza lovers club, but being diabetic, it would just be too sad. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." | Topic | i don't understand how to fight the hydra with the stupid fists |
| wolfy42 08/15/21 9:41:33 PM #27 | I do think fists are one of my least favorites for the hydra, though I just did a run yesterday without any problem, the high damage rocks on the fists so it takes most things out faster then other weapons, just you need invulnerability/deflect on your dash or you get pounded. I still like shield the best for the hydra, it's special just tears it up and the heads as well, wish dash/deflect you don't take damage either. I really don't like the hydra fight with any of the weapons, even if it's not mega hard, it's annoying, and takes awhile. The lava though was not a problem for me in the recent fist fight (few heads went in, but there were others to take down while they were, and the last head wasn't (also main hydra head never went in the lava). Advantage of the shield (with deflect with special) is you can deflect all the shots from the main head while just constantly pounding it with your special. You can dash/throw/dash thrown to take down the other heads when they spawn (without taking much if any damage) and your never in any of their pound ranges. For the fists you have to dash in, attack, dash out before the head pounds etc. you do more damage faster (you can take out the outer heads so fast with the right upgrades) which is great is your super over powered and have buffed yourself a ton (or got really good upgrades etc). Early on, or without good upgrades, the shield just does the hydra so much better. It has great range, excellent defensiveness, and good damage. I like it better then spear/bow for sure as far as ranged attacks go. Still think shield is the best defensive option honestly. Spear or fists are probably best offensive option. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Friends don't make their friends die Hanz. Psychopathic friends do. |
