My wife had one until it died about a year ago. It's a pretty boring pet. They don't really do much but they're cool looking I guess. We fed it crickets but they don't eat very often. She would hold it but I never would. They don't necessarily become aggressive just from holding them

Hate to break it to you but you're admitting you're old and out of touch here. Music is as relevant as its ever been, you simply don't derive as much enjoyment from the newer stuff. Which is fine, by the way. Not saying you have to try to enjoy the stuff.

You're not seeing the importance because it doesn't resonate with you, doesn't mean it doesn't resonate with anyone else.

Yeah, I kinda figured that. It's why I asked cause I figured if it was everybody, then I would hear that, but I didn't expect it. I like rock and light heavy metal, but really have not seen any new stuff in awhile. Mind you I even liked 50's and 60's music, so it wasn't just music of my lifetime I liked.

Newer music though, just hasn't hit me, I think it's not the music, just my ability to appreciate it, sadly kinda like food (which I also don't enjoy as much).

Getting old sucks, we really should Logan's Run it at 50.

Was it better? Is getting old the reason why new music just doesn't have the same impact?

I'm not just talking about on the radio or buying CD's. Music made a BIG difference in the movies I watched. I still associate many songs with scenes in a movie. Someone mentioned a Black Tarantula and BAM I thought of Beatlejuice right away.

That can still "sorta" be true for disney movies (like "You're welcome from Muana) but hardly ever do the songs have the same impact they used to, at least to me.

Which is sad, really sad, cause it was part of the joy of movies and now it's just...meh.

Just found out about this today. As much as I like Charlie's dardevil (I avoided saying Cox cause yeah, this is gamefaqs), my favorite char from that series was Kingpin, who I think was one of the better villians of all time.

He is back and DD will join the MCU which is freaking awesome. I hope he gets his own movie, but more than that, I hope he gets another series. He was great as DD, and Deforio was freaking awesome as Kingpin.

Super happy about that. The rest of the netflix shows were forgetable at best other then Jessica Jones season 1, but DD was totally worth saving.

Heh I had put that on my list but realized I owned it on epic and didn't realize it (must have been free sometime). Might get HBO max and share it with a friend as a Xmas gift to him (he wants to see the matrix).

I wanna see the matrix in the theaters along with spiderman and I just had hbo max for dune, so there was no reason for me to get it other then as a gift for him (he's low on money).

But...I didn't see the new suicide squad so that would at least give me something to watch. Need to check with him though, I think he may have gotten to see the matrix now at work.

His job rocks, he gets paid to play video games and watch movies lol.

Basically within your last lifeline, means during the period of time you were alive this time.

General location could be within the area/size of a state or a few countries. You could choose to be born in England, but not the specific town. You could choose a part of Australia which would make it more likely for you not to be born extremely poor (but no guarrantee).

As far as my choice, I'd get the heck out of dodge and jump off this merry go round if I had the option. I don't think we actually get that option mind you, but I am curious what people would choose.

IF I HAD to choose and didn't have the option to just go poof, I'd get born right around now. Hopefully covid will get dealt with before I'm old enough to really notice it, and imagine the amazing video games/mmo's etc there might be in the future. In general things keep getting more awesome (technology at least), and you still have all the old games available etc.

I'd probably be a chick and choose Ireland (and hope I got lucky and had red hair hehe).

It's on sale right now but shrug, I have not heard good things about it from anyone. The few people I have heard talking about it are basically saying it's still in beta and needs a bunch of stuff balanced, that there will be more stuff in Jan but right now there isn't really any endgame content. I have not heard great things about character creation/advancement and pretty much have not heard anything extremely positive (Some stuff is decent, but nobody so far has been like, woah, this is awesome).

So shrug, haven't played it myself but it's not even on a backburner for me.

You get no other options than that. You may also choose just not to be reborn.

What do you choose? When will you be born. You will not remember this life once you are born, so these decisions are important.

It's an app where you hook up with the girl next door. Also some people complain on it.

Long as you don't wanna play games on it, it's fine.

A comparison that makes no sense for any number of reasons, but mostly given that Die Hard is absurdly well-known while Parasite Eve is niche.

I mean Parasite Eve rocked.

But there is literally a few Die Hard games, which would probably be the die hard of video games. The shooters are the best.

GTA I already owned on Steam and now have for free on epic as well (from the last time).

That coupon is awesome, but yeah, i have everything I want at this point that is 5$-20$ so can't use it anymore *sigh*. Still saved probably over $100 vs steam sale prices.

I have friends that had a baby not that long ago and even with insurance you pay a ton, it's crazy.

I just have waaay to many games now to play before Elden Ring comes out lol. I ended up spending about $150 on games on the epic sale, but now pretty much have everything they have for sale on Epic that I want.

Honestly I shouldn't have bought them as it's highly likely at least one of them will eventually be free on there, but shrug, they were all such good deals at $20, I just couldn't help myself and they all have great reviews on youtube.

Can you get around it with time zones? That would require alot of flying but you have millions to pay for it.

Even without that I'd still do it, I'd be eating amazing meals for an hour every day, yeah it sucks only eating once but I mostly do that anyway. Worst part would be no drinking anything but water the rest o the time, but shrug, that is actually healthier.

Probably not really worth flying to be honest, as the only thing you could really do is make the next "meal time" shorter or longer by a few hours, or extend a meal time past 1 hour (using the time zone thing to give you 2 hours of eating instead of 1, or possibly if you were right next to a time zone change, be able to get a full 3 hours straight)

But I'm down for 1 insanely good meal a day.

Gonna re-watch the first season first, plan on starting today.

Yeah, it was good, but not Zelda II good heh.....it wasn't rpgish enough for me I think (don't really remember why I didn't like it as much). I replayed Zelda II many times, but BoO just once I think.

My feeling is the current situation is just temporary and there will be an evolution of some form in the future to prevent this, it just seems.....chaotic to me. I don't think it's sustainable.

Seems counterproductive, alot of people won't watch a 1 series show (or read a solo book etc).

I know personally there are many anime I have never watched ONLY because it already ended after 1 season. I feel like, why bother getting invested if the story is already over.

So yeah, I doubt they would generate more interest that way, it's probably the opposite.

In fact, if they already renewed it, THEN they would probably generate more interest and they could still cancel it later if not enough people actually liked it (wonder why they don't do that actually). If I knew there was another season of it coming up....nah, I really couldn't get into it, I still wouldn't watch the rest, but other people who were more on the fence might.

When I was really young, my grandmother would torture me. She would hold me under the water while i struggled to breathe, she stuck me in a shed outside in Arizona that was filled with cobwebs and extremely dark and lots of other things.

At that point I just wanted to die. I eventually learned to kinda ignore time, and no matter what was happening it would eventually be over.

She eventually died and all that stopped, but that lesson, the method of ignoring time, it didn't go away. I had nightmares for years and would get depressed due to them. I have always just been waiting for my life to finally end, and have focused on trying to make the world a better place for others along the way.

Over time I did start to enjoy things again, have motivation and goals etc, but it's still always been there, just the desire to eventually get to the end, when it will all go away and the things I have experienced will no longer matter.

So what I want out of life is to get to the end with the least amount of suffering possible, to help prevent suffering in others, and to try and make the time pass as quickly as possible, by staying active/busy the whole time.

For the most part I have been able to do that, to avoid extreme suffering or pain, and to help others do the same. I have helped many people and gotten good friends and family in the process, and I have enjoyed myself as well. I still just want to get to the end, but I will continue to enjoy the process as much as possible along the way.

I saw maybe 2 episodes (possibly 3) of the new cowboy bebop before giving up. I doubt they just up and canceled it because tons of people didn't watch it yet, I have not watched the new Witcher season yet for instance, they probably canceled it because tons of people, like me, watched a few episodes and gave up on it.

If people don't finish watching something, they are not going to care if another season comes out, and netflix can tell that, and cancel something that just doesn't hook people.

Some things they have canceled th ey were totally freaking wrong to cancel, I would not consider Cowboy Bebop as one of those things.

The one with the chick who exploded someones head? They were wrong to cancel that, it was just getting good.

Few other shows like that? Totally wrong.

I guess this must be true for dining and dashing as well, but probably even worse. You can hire security if your a bigger store etc, but it's not like they can do that for places to eat. Seriously this sounds totally broken and at least in areas like where I live, where there are so many people homeless or living out of vans etc (Especially in CA which I think is worse than here), I don't see how this isn't happening constantly.

Seriously I could see it becoming so common it could cause places to close down, or at least require people to pay for their food up front (before they get their food lol). How that hasn't happened yet I don't know.

But yeah, no way they could detain dine and dashers, and could you just imagine all these people coming in and ordering the most expensive things on the menu, alcoholic drinks etc, and then just jetting afterwards?

Sadly I don't, I did replay it not that long ago and it didn't age that well, but back in the day it was my favorite Zelda, pretty much still is even today, just, can't really enjoy playing it anymore because the controls etc just are not good enough anymore. I really loved the original zelda as well though, but Zelda II was the first rpg side scroller, and I freaking love them. Took till like Symphony of the Night before a better one came out I think.
