Perhaps, but I also have the issue that I don't buy the groceries at my house. Don't really get to be picky in that case and right now, I'm satisfied with CICO.

Having grown up an hour away from where the show is set, having been born in 1980, and having the same exact sibling structure as the show (older bro, younger sis tho), the show resonates with me deep enough to give me goosebumps at times.

Are there many "family friendly" shows as competition? Modern Family is done. Goldbergs is a throwback to those 90's family sitcoms. And really, not every fuckin show has to be a cultural icon on par with Friends or Seinfeld. Goldbergs is still on because enough people watch it to make the network money. Some episodes are top-notch, but some are stinkers for sure.

I don't disagree with those statements; but I also don't understand how you can last that long if you don't hold some sort of significance. Shows that last that long usually have high ratings as contracts become more and more expensive as a show goes on.

As I said, though, imo, I just think the show has more stinkers than top-notch episodes (if I'd call any top-notch).

It is kinda gross it took the MCU so long to do that. At the point they were with movies, they shouldn't have been beat out by DC (who also should have made a Wonder Woman movie decades ago tbf) in a female-lead movie. She definitely didn't deserve to be beat out by Captain Marvel for the MCU's first female-lead movie considering just how long she was a character in the MCU for.

It's a decent show. My mom watches it sometimes and I've enjoyed a few episodes myself.

The show just suffered from heavy flanderization imo. I mean, in a way, the characters were flanderized from the start, which just makes it very tiring at the point it got to. I just find all the characters annoying.

No, not now. Based on what I've been consuming, it's probably not a pretty percentage either, lol.

For me, weight loss needs to not completely suck or it's impossible to pull off. I'm breaking this into steps. Step 1 is getting to the weight I want, and then Step 2, I'll finally focus on that macro breakdown for a better body (and health). If I focus on macros and calories now, I just am not going to be able to do it.

That's impressive! Any amount loss is a win. I suppose if this is working for you, I'd say continue until your weight loss starts to not match what your estimate should have been based on CICO. At that point is when you should really focus on all the calories you consume, condiments, or otherwise.

• miso soup (2): 168 calories
• steamed rice: 220 calories
• 10 teriyaki shrimp: 90 calories
• cheeto puffs: 160 calories

Extreme estimate today. I couldn't get definite answers on the miso soup or teriyaki shrimp. A lot of sites show calories in stir-fry, but I literally just had tail-less shrimp with teriyaki sauce. Some sites say that is 90 calories, but that feels off. Miso soup varied from 50-100 calories but I was getting 80'ish a lot so I went with 84 for one cup. Regardless, I am confident that I am not far from the real total.

If you are pushed away by large amounts of society, I think it's only natural for you to find a hobby that isn't reliant on interacting with others that much. Speedrunning is a hobby for those pushed from society, those who are introverted, those who are lonely.

Say you have never actually speedran without actually saying you haven't speedran.

As a speedrunner myself, (got a 1:03 in Super Mario Odyssey and a WR in another game (albeit it's only got 5 on the leaderboard so nothing too big)), speedrunning very often increases your skill in nearly every game you play. A guy who learns to speedrun will be much better at a game than someone who doesn't (especially in platformers). A lot of challenges that were hard casually are extremely easy, and fyi, SMO doesn't have many glitches or exploits in the first place.

Also, the speedrunning community has plenty of alt-right people in the community as well as progressives. Speedrunning is the most niche of niche in the competitive gaming community, far below MOBA's, FPS, and fighting game communities, so it's only natural that it draws people that are more on the "outside" of human cliques anyways. Speedrunning isn't really something a normal person finds themself doing because it's rarely something you can actively enjoy with someone else (sure you can race, but it's not like fighting games where you can play with your friend). It takes months and years of dedication to ever become good at it, and your reward isn't really that big in return if you don't WR (and even if you WR, if the game is dead, no one will care anyways). Lastly, despite how we perceive it on twitch, the average person looks at speedrunning as a large waste of time, so even if you compare it to the likes of olympic sprint categories, it doesn't have the prestige those give. No one called Usain Bolt a loser for being fast irl, but even the most popular of speedrunners are called horrible names and told they wasted their lives (despite pulling in big money) with every YT video they post.

With all those factors in mind, it's just a hobby that doesn't mesh with a standard lifestyle. In a world of fighting games where a win is a win and a loss is a loss, and not placing first in tournaments still earns you prestige, speedrunning is the opposite. A win is a PB and a loss is a dead run. Guess how many dead runs a speedrunner gets before they pb? I'll tell you, I've gone months without pb'ing, yet playing the same game and the same category during that entire time.

I'm going to try this one more time. My internet in other matches seems to have improved. A lot of people were streaming Netflix, and my dad was downloading something on his PS5 (don't know if he still is). It's not quite where I want it to be, and sometimes there's a slight hiccup, but we'll see if it's acceptable.

The whole 0/100 thing for Celsius... why do we think water itself should be the basis for a temperature scale? It's not really a good scale for everyday life as a human, which matters more since we use it as a tool for our needs.

It's not like it's hard to remember the two numbers in Fahrenheit that mean the same thing anyways.

10/15: half a st. louis style pizza from local restaurant: 1100 calories*

The * is for the fact that this is an estimate based on the closest comparison with an available calorie chart (Imo's). Since it's a local restaurant, I have little way of knowing the actual calorie count, and it could be anywhere from 1,000-1,250 imo, maybe even more if I'm really underestimating how much they pack. This pizza place doesn't feel like it'd be packed with calories, though, at least compared to the other local one.

I have to be strong, you don't know how much I want to eat more (plus I bought funyuns and cheetos as a snack for today, but after the pizza, I gotta resist those, too).

Yeah, he pretty cleanly cut through the post-season. I'm just happy to see I got a win off him in the play-in part, lol. If I recall @FL81 actually performed pretty well against him with his Zelda, but just happened to lose two close matches. I lost a very close series to @PatrickMahomes 's Snake.

My Little Mac did pretty well, though. Couldn't touch @Simon_Petrikov 's Richter, though; had better results against him with Piranha Plant.

I might just @ all the previous tournament contestants just in case they have any interest.

If 12 people show up, I might alter the post-season guidelines to copy what I did before with the top 4 seeds getting a bye as a reward for having the best records. Idk, we'll see.

Well, I recall the first time was just a stroke of luck I think. He really doesn't pop up much on CE, and I think I @'ed him for the 2nd one since it wouldn't make sense to not invite the defending champion.

The first one's topic is lost to time. If you look on... "that site" it happened during the period that all those topics got deleted (only the names of them are up but none of the posts).
