I've always thought it'd be interesting to get a game or movie based on her arrival and how she manipulated things back then. I'm imagining my some horror setting with a thing hiding out in the wilderness ready to kill, but could also be disguised as someone you know. The only indicator of its presence would be a gradual death of the surrounding environment.

Though, the games treat her as just another monster boss fight. Her backstory has always been the interesting part of the games imo.

I work at a hotel, and one of the housekeepers has schizophrenia and I have no clue how I'm supposed to interact with her. I just talk with her like I do anyone else, which already hard enough for me, but then she's talking about all this craziness she thinks is going on. And I don't know if I'm supposed to try and talk her out of it, or if it treating it like it's real will feed into things and make her worse.

She was fine when they hired her back, but she stopped taking her medication and went downhill quick. I always try and change the conversation, but it's like she's absolutely obsessed with her delusions. All the other employees treat her poorly because she's annoying, and I feel bad but I don't know how to help.

Yes. I'm answering this question about 20 seconds after reading it. I'll be even further in the future by the time anyone reads this.

Do the kids take his last name? Because if so... I'm both horrified and impressed by Legendary Love Cannon.

Glad I'm not alone lol and thanks! Taking things at fave value is something I struggle with. Sometimes I can't even tell when my fiance is joking with me. Glad I get the joke now though. Was the first time I'd seen it lol

I've only ever been on 2. We started doing a family vacation 2 years ago. This year will be the 3rd if we can afford to go.

Both so far have been to the beach. Once to Virginia beach, next was to Oak Island North Carolina I think.

First was way better. Room right on the beach, great view, right across the street from a big arcade and fairground. Not far from an aquarium and the zoo was nice too.

Oak Island was ok, but my aunt and uncle took over and we didn't even do anything. Just sat on the beach for a couple of days. Which was great and all, but after the previous year being so entertaining that one was very uneventful.

We didn't. The landlord had 2 keys. One for himself, and one for whoever rented the building. He loaned that key to his other tenant so she could show the place to people when he was busy. She contacted us and he gave us a really good deal, so we rented it.

Then he kept refusing to give us a key. Told us to get the spare from the other tenant. Instead she made us a copy and kept hers. She helped herself to our stuff, which at the time was really frustrating but not really damaging to our business. We complained to them and the stealing stopped. We did keep finding evidence that they'd gone in though. Like when he had plumbing issues in his shop and would open ours for his customers to use our bathroom which ended with more minor stuff being stolen by a random person he let in. >_>

Unless you get there Thursday morning as soon as they open, you're not going to get anything good.

That's similar to our goals. Currently we can't be open all week, but hopefully it won't be long before we can. I think Mom plans to be open 4 days, and dropping prices each day.

You make too much it attracts competition who will do anything to shut you down. We fought people off multiple times. Watch customers closely. You will get scouts. They will scope out a place to come back later. You are also now a target for robbery.

We've only been open 1 weekend so far, everything went great then. Hopefully we don't attract too much competition.

Definitely put them up. Then let the landlord know you have them watching the interior. That will likely keep them from showing up, letting themself in and snooping around.

Yeah, I'll suggest it and see if she's good with it.

Thanks. I'm really glad my aunt helped get us set up. This week will be tricky since our supplier is in vacation and we don't have much at the moment. We've been having people message wanting us to open on more days too. We're building to that as well.

That's good but definitely invest in a security camera, maybe even a hidden one so you can catch them in the act if they did ever try anything.

Well, we did get some in last week. Mom set a couple back but she wants to sell them online rather than use them ourselves. Maybe this will change her mind.

No, Mom just told them that the stuff was missing and they were the only ones with a key. That stopped it that time.

It doesn't seem like anything is missing this time. Probably just them being nosey.

...and the same issues I dealt with before are happening again. My landlord and neighbor have been going in without our permission.

They stole a bunch of stuff from us last time but stopped once they realized we knew. We were closed yesterday and today, and when we drive by the lights were on. They weren't before, which means one or both of them have been in there again. >_>

*Sigh*
At least we don't have anything much after the weekend.

What's a bin store?

We get a bunch of overstock items, items that other places can't sell or try to return. Then we dump them all into bins and everything is $10 on Friday, $5 on Saturday.

There were a lot of really good stuff. We ended up with like 5 security cameras worth like $180 each. Mom kept 2 of those and the rest got put out for 10 like everything else. Of course, there was a lot of stuff that wasn't worth that much, but it was still a bargain. I figured people would be interested, but I didn't expect a full house all day both days and to end up selling out.

My escape room and art studio wasn't doing well, so we have instead reorganized our business. My aunt is really into going to bin stores and she's made tons of money reselling her stuff online. She befriended the owner, and since we had the space for one and he had the extra stock to sell... We agreed to buy from him and open our own.

It was a rather hasty decision, and we started advertising Monday to open Friday... And we were totally and completely slammed. The place had so many customers that I barely had room to stand. We definitely made our money back just in 2 days.

Despite never mentioning it to my coworkers at my hotel job, I was being grilled over it all weekend. We definitely need to invest in more stock to stay open more days, as of right now we sold out. lol

I expected it to do well, but it did far better than I anticipated and we had people from all over clawing to get in. It was crazy. Crazy in a good way, and all of our customers were really nice. Only had a few trying to haggle or trying to hide stuff to get for cheaper the next day. lol

The one I work at doesn't charge for anything like that. I'm glad they don't, they overcharge for everything else enough already.

We do have to turn the drink dispenser off after breakfast though. That's because the housekeepers drain it rather than bringing their own drinks. lol

Younger. People tend to think I'm about 10-15 years younger.

Eh, I'm only really interested in Monster Hunter and Astro Bot from these. They both looked like a lot if fun.

Man, it fluctuates so wildly that I don't have a solid answer. I tend to hover on the lower end, but then I'll have rare moments where I'll see myself and think I'm decent.

Today is one of those rare days. Took a selfie earlier and despite messy hair I think it turned out nice.

My family is already royally screwed up. But yeah, now that I've had time to settle my thoughts, it's still disturbing.

I'm no longer freaking out, as it seems like my brother has stopped pushing the idea for now. Though, I suspect him and his wife will bring it up next time I see them. Either seriously, or just to tease me over it.

I like snakes. Don't really want to Jess with a wild one and get bitten and r anything, but I won't be afraid of one if they find one.

Idk her exact age. She might be 19 by now, but I don't think that makes any real difference. They were dating from when she was 16, got engaged quickly. They wanted to get married then but no one signed off on it, so as soon as they were both 18 they got married.

I didn't even know they were married until a few months back. Now she's apparently seeking a divorce. Idk, just sounds like a situation that I don't want to get in the middle of, in top of everything else.

What? I'm not considering it, like at all. I flat out rejected the idea to my brother as my first response after he suggested it. He kept pushing the idea and I changed the subject without responding to those suggestions.

It does bother me that I currently have a woman who wants to be with me and I have to reject her. Since I've been wanting to find someone who likes me that way for literal decades, and when it finally happens it's in a situation that's so messed up that I can't even comprehend why it was ever even suggested to begin.

Like someone else mentioned earlier, it's like my wish got monkey pawed into something totally undesirable.

Yes, he does. More than anyone else. That's caused more than a few issues in his marriage. Especially when he thinks like my dad does, and assumes his wife would choose him over her son.

She was here for Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago. Christmas the year after. I saw her again at my brother's house once, and we played with puppies together. That's about it.

Think I've had 1 actual conversation with her one on one. I don't even remember what we said.

I'm not going to. I already told them that. My brother is still trying to convince me to give it a shot, and the more he does the more it bothers me that I'm essentially turning down what I've been wanting for so long.

It just sucks in general. To be put in this position. That she's not a good fit for me. That it's likely the only chance I'll ever have, and that I have to turn it down.

I think this is going to weigh on me for a while.

I definitely am. I think I'm in a mix of shock, disgust, terror, and disappointment(in myself). Just overall confusion.

Like, here's a young woman, openly expressing interest in me. But because of who her previous relationship was with, a guy I'm not even related to or like, it's making my skin crawl.

I just... Idk, ugh. It's certainly flattering, and a little exciting to think that people actually do see me as an option. But maybe she just sees me as an escape instead, a rebound, someone to help her back in track and then left in the dust. Idk.
