They had no idea who they were, and didn't give a single fuck - and still don't.

Suddenly they were told about the Uyghur people and how terribly they were being oppressed but for one purpose alone, and that was to drum up anti-Chinese sentiment in America.

So these right wingers were going around scoffing in disbelief about how the left were blind to the plight of these people, so you better join us in being anti-Chinese! Meanwhile on the left we're like... dude, you care about imperialism, apartheid, and genocide now - here's a list of them no one will talk about on corporate news you can help me protest. This is the right wing and the Uiygur(sp?) situation all over again... the right wing were utterly ignorant to the apartheid conditions in Gaza, so in their inflated sense of ego and entitlement from being American exceptionalists and white supremacists - they can only fathom that others only learned about these things since the October 7th Hamas attacks...

• The irony being that the right wing learned that these are even issues that could potentially exist because of the publicity and protests created from the American left in the first place.... otherwise they would have been exposed to literally zero voices calling out the genocide of Palestinians. No one else in media or power would have stood up and said anything, they never do.

I think most conservatives support the literal genocide of Palestinians or don't care either way. Some only care about Israel to the extend it ties into Christian biblical prophecy.

Apply that to any promotion... WWE started adopting hardcore style matches to stifle the growing competition from places like ECW during the attitude era.

WWE did dangerous spectacle before that, and you might say the ECW brand of dangerous stunt relied more on the talents of the performers than on pyrotechnics or mechanical setups with harnesses and long falls that will likely injure people from malfunction at some point.

The evening news are still owned by either right wing cranks that fluctuate between anti-semitism for their white nationalist audience, and Zionism for their fundamentalist audience, while centrist corporate media outlets like MSNBC still want their parent and sister companies to sell more weapons to places like Israel to keep the bloodshed going.

I don't think many really care about Israel at all, they have been frightened into thinking Israel is "fighting them over there so we don't fight them here" - which is an outdated mantra we used to justify the failed Iraq War.

I think there's a good argument to make DD did it better at the time... and it's probably gone on to help Capcom improve MH.
