Started out a little slow but once it picked up, they flipped on the cruise control and kept a healthy pace all the way through the end. Mia Goth is gorgeous and sensuous and does a great job, as do all the actors really.

Only gripes - they didn't really explore the themes too much. I started wondering about whether he was the original James or not, they actually have a scene discussing that which you would think would be setting everything up for later, and then ... they kinda drop it in favor of a more subtle approach. I guess in typing this I came to appreciate the ending a bit more.

I legit think there was something wrong with that guy (Matthew).

Episode 2 spoilers - He confessed to loving Amber ("AD") and said a lot of shit to her, about wanting to leave with her "tomorrow" and wanting to ask her dad for her hand in marriage and stuff like that. Then come to find out... there's a *second* Amber and he said literally verbatim the same stuff to her (off camera, we only find out from the two women interacting).

Episode 3 spoilers - Amber 2 suggests she's going to ... get something she wanted (not sure if it's revenge or getting together with the guy). AD goes on her pod date with Matthew - he gives a weird speech about how America loves an underdog and he thinks America supports him now and he feels bad for breaking her heart on national TV and he can't "go through with her plan" (.... he planned everything though...). AD leaves. Matthew walks into the Men's Quarters and says, "Time to get Amber".

And then they haven't showed Amber 2 or Matthew since then... it's like they cut their scenes out of the show entirely. Maybe they come up later but it's weird timing if so.

that 75/100 review is killing me, it basically spells out just how shitty and bland the game is without ever really explaining why the "price is worth it".

I have heard good things about The Expanse universe in general but haven't seen any episodes, barely knew there was a game. Should probably check it out, would be a nice break from true crime/cult documentaries and horror movies...

there was a woman during the pandemic who ended up getting an annual pass to Universal Studios and just doing her work there. She got a discount on food for being a pass holder and when she wanted a break she just went for a walk or went on a ride.

Not realistic for everyone but damn what a cool opportunity.

I don't know what my favorite is, but for some reason I've never been a fan of dwarves. They just feel stereotyped to hell, in every game I've ever played they are the underground dwelling engineers with advanced technology who are also fierce melee warriors wielding axes. It just feels really overdone.

I don't remember exactly what happened, I just know one guy kept returning to troll people, which was particularly shitty since a lot of people were just trying to get help and unload problems with each other. I think Chill ended up losing it and just closing the whole thing down, but I don't remember if personal details were leaked before that.

I was pretty frustrated that he just shut it all down though, there were cool people and I felt like... we could have made it work. But whatever.

I used to like him. Forget what happened to him specifically... I remember being in his Discord and there being a massive fallout and people started to bounce and I think he closed it down. It was pretty frustrating since there were some cool people in there.

And then he never played games with me after that, either, so I got a little jaded. Haven't talked to him in many years though I think he's still on my ubi friend list.

Tried it once just because I couldn't believe they were selling a six pack of water for like 16 bucks.

What is long covid exactly? Kinda freaking out, I had it a couple years ago and I had symptoms for a while afterwards and I definitely mentally feel a little less competent than before (especially my memory).

I don't really see a difference between this new Lara design and the Lara from the trilogy reboot thing.

I had to work from home, I hated it. I've also had 90-180 minute commutes and I actually grew to enjoy it - just put some music on, enjoy the road.

I'm the opposite, I'm rather impressed at the number of licensed characters they've been able to obtain for the game.

And I don't know what the game is like now but the original version was just very bland and repetitive.

I do, 5% cash back on Amazon purchases is too good to pass up, plus it's not a bad service overall.

I am angry at this recent missing return fiasco and being charged $40 though for an item I did return.
