That's mostly for gameplay purposes, since when there is a story battle, the WoL literally stands alone. Like when they were fighting Zenos (Elidibus) and solo'd them if it wasn't for the interruption by the Crystal Exarch.

I mean, Zenos is pretty much an over-powered bastard, no matter what his aims were (The hate he gets from the fandom is absolutely insane tbh >_>)

Then you have Dynamis, something the WoL unleashes towards the end, causing them to pull out Zenkai boosts whenever they're about to lose.

I would argue that the WoL would struggle significantly more with Tony Stark then you're giving them credit for, especially since Tony likely would have access to his Iron Arsenal, which is directly controlled by him, rather than the WoL's "ability" to summon 7 ass hats from across the multiverse to aid them (assuming Tony would even allow it to happen in the first place, and not simply destroy the stone the moment his computers picked up an energy reasind off it.)

By saying this, any other enemy capable of the same would have done this. You think Zeromus, Endsinger or Emet Selch wouldn't be capable of that? Beings who can break through literal dimension barriers?

FFXIV fanboys give the WoL way too much undeserved credit - they're really not that powerful, and all too often have to rely on the "power of friendship" to defeat their foes.

Just because they have the power backing of their allies doesn't mean they're weak alone. Canonly, this is the same person who took on primals after thousands of years of prayers (Knights of the Round), was able to over-power Godly entities (The Queen), and was able to stand, toe-to-toe against Venat. You know, the same woman who split the universe into 14 dimensions?

Considering He/She:

• Defeats Gods, Demons and Dimensional beings on a regular basis
• Defeats badguys like Kefka and Omega with ease
• Defeats beings like Ascians who are dimensional threats
• Defeats Hydaelyn and Zodiark, beings powerful enough to split reality into 14 different dimensions
• Defeats the Endsinger, a being threatening to delete the whole universe, whilst on a giant Dragon, flying across the cosmos with planets being thrown at them >_>

Haven't really seen the anime or manga. But one of my favourite idols, Saito Asuka, is playing Hoshino Ai.

Try 39 degrees with 100 percent humidity in hamamatsu

This has been the worst summer ive experienced here since 2015 in shikoku.

Sheesh. My body started to get used to the heat, but I think I'm gonna stay indoors this weekend.

I still need more, damn Osaka weather. Its gonna be 37 degrees tomorrow with a humidity of 70%. That would probably feel like 40 degrees right?

Update:

From what I've been seeing from Japanese social media, the university has scrubbed Thomas Lockley's records and books. Also his NHK program and show has been deleted. It seems his records have been wiped and they've dropped him entirely.

Is it that somebody overstated how much Japan had African slaves or something, and somebody tried to co-opt it into something about Yasuke and Assassins Creed because social media?

Its hard to keep up with since every time there's a new issue on this situation, so someone here can correct me if I'm wrong:

- Yosuke becomes AC MC
- Outcry because people wanted a Japanese Male character.
- debate about his significance in history and him being a "Samurai"
- Ubisoft quotes Thomas Lockley as an expert.
- Thomas fabricated a lot of stuff by even changing Wikipedia entries under an alt account to support his books.
- some of it being Yosuke a Samurai, but that's not the main part here.
- the main part was him claiming Japan had black Slaves? And it was common place (correct me if I'm wrong)

That last part is what really riled up some of the Japanese media and a politician.

The tweet had said it may become a government matter soon, but there has already been a politician commenting on putting it through for a debate.

The video seems to mostly be against the whole "Japan had black slaves" narrative.

One of the best made, masterfully crafted games I've ever played.

Might just buy it on steam and play it on my laptop this time with mods.

So I used the same logic with Raiden. Since white African child Soldiers are rare. Should people be upset with that ?

Also I wasn't one of those people who complained about historical inaccuracies. There are much more learned people who can carry that mantle.

A better argument would be the other games Yasuke made an appearance in. There wasn't much outcry about those.

I've personally wanted more of a game around Adewale and not just an expansion. Like another poster said, a game surrounding him or another black Assassin regarding the US.

A pre-civil war game where you play a black person who escaped slavery and is going AC things to try and make things better for people. Heck, make it take place in the years leading up to the civil war for bonus points, and for the heck of it, let him observe that time a couple of senators got into a big brawl because the southerner decided punching other politicians was better than actually trying to make any actual case for why slavery was good. Yes, this is a thing that happened (the politician part, not the mysterious AC protagonist witnessing it part).

Claiming someone was a slave is so close to basically saying that they didn't exist. Because the entire image of the character is that yasuke was a samurai.

When you basically say that the person actually wasn't anything that history said they were, you are pretty much saying they don't exist. If you said "Abraham Lincoln was just a farmer or a slave," that's akin to saying "Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States" didn't exist.

That's another argument altogether. No one said he wasn't a real person. At least from what I've seen.

Yasuke was real and was in Japanese media for decades, including other games, as a samurai, without controversy. Right wing grifters have been losing their shit over the new AC because they don't play samurai games and it took a major AAA game for them to realize a black samurai existed and they're mad about it.

I personally think it's stupid for both reasons. They could have easily given us an assassin based in Africa and on African lore, or on the history of black people in America. Adewale and Aveline were both awesome characters, why not expand on that. And on the flipside, give us more Japanese characters in a Japanese based game.

Nonetheless I don't trust Ubisoft like I don't trust any other corpo. They have no one's best interests in mind, they're just there to make money. So I wouldn't side with them at all.

Been following this. It's no longer about Ubisoft and a black foreigner in Japan, but now about a guy literally trying to make up history for his stupid books.

If this is all true, which it looks like it's turning out to be, this is pretty fucking stupid.
