I might be interested in Lorelei. Waiting on Multiversus. Speaking of puzzles, Isles of Sea and Sky released. That was a really good demo a while ago.

Looks like the wacky version might be too much. I like moving stages as much as the next guy. You've got to draw the line before Rumble Falls or god forbid Orbital Gate Assault.

I'll give it this, it fully commits to its absurd cartoon style. It got criticism for switching gameplay compulsively, but the bigger issue is that none of the gameplay is more than alright and the writing isn't funny enough to carry it either.

Oh, that Battletoads reboot was... not great.

i just looked this one up and unfortunately it looks like it already got a sequel 19 years ago so it's out (would be competing with the claim i made directly above otherwise)

It seems like it also got a prior XBLA reboot in the mold of Starfox or Panzer Dragoon, confusingly named Yar's Revenge, which this new one shares plot elements with. But that one flopped.

How about the upcoming Yars' Revenge reboot?

After one google search for Mina the Hollower...just based on superficial reasons, I don't think a 2-D pixel furry game is going to 'wow' the game awards as a whole, even if the game ends up amazing. Those are negative modifiers.

The Shovel Knight pedigree ought to count for something.

William Adams of Nioh. He seems like a decent enough guy for a pirate, and also pirates likely aren't that picky, but he definitely isn't waiting 30 years.

Also only started 18 months before Nobunaga was done in. Either way, he was depicted a samurai in Nioh and probably lots of other stuff. While we're talking about other samurai games lately, everyone should play Rise of the Ronin.

All these systems need better methods for this. I guess I'm okay with throwing gameplay clips on Youtube.

The complaints I'm hearing about this seem like reason to wait a patch or two. I also never beat a single run of Hades.

I think it was just a PR mess that they didn't even have anything to gain from. It was incompetence all the way down from the beginning, and I'm almost surprised that someone there listened to reason.
