Phew, I was sort of dreading match 3 today because I thought that it would be a tough decision for me. But then I started listening and realized that I mixed up the Grandmaster and Fortress Leader songs in my head, and this match isn't close at all.

Well match 1 is once again 2 Pokemon that I decently like vs. 1 Pokemon that I really like. So Tyrantrum has to march onwards to round 3 with with Growlithe hanging on to its leg and then hopefully steps on it next round.

Match 4 sucks because I love both Chatot and Regice. I'm gonna say that I'll be happy with either winner but really I'll be sad that one of them can't advance.

What the fuck does a "smooth transition" even mean? You used to be able to do a thing and now you won't be able to do it. There's no in-between (let alone a smooth one).

Team B is mostly NFE trash (even though, in a vacuum, I don't dislike 3 of them), but team A has a real Pokemon on it (Jynx). I'd vote Jynx alone over a team of the other 9 together.

Match 2 is evil... It's two very above-average Pokemon against one of my overall top 10, which is paired with a Pokemon that I actively dislike. But knowing what the format of this contest is, it will eventually go back to being 1v1/FFA and I'll be able to vote for Mismagius on its own again, so it needs to win to get there, in spite of its baggage.

Yes, but that's still time consuming compared to the near-instant Twitter uploads.

Also I never got that to work with my phone the few times that I attempted it (I could try to figure it out if that becomes the next best option, but I won't like it). It wouldn't be an issue if they were merely replacing Twitter with a different hosting site, but it looks like they're cutting off uploads entirely. Facebook does not count as a viable alternative and you know it.

I get all of my modern gaming news from GameFAQs message boards, so the perspectives are usually more negative than they are outside.

Was the 1+2 remake "successful"? I thought it was another one of the (many) remakes that most people claimed to hate because it was too different from the originals.

I'm tentatively interested because short time trial challenges in games are always my thing. I wonder if it will have online leaderboards. I also expect that this game will be big on Cyberscore (fan-made score/leaderboard website that I'm part of) so there will definitely be competition even if there are no ingame leaderboards.

When I Grow Up - I feel bad putting this so low because I had it higher up at first and then kept putting other stuff above it (although I did shuffle a few things afterwards). It's one of the "softer" songs on this album and I ended up ranking the "harder" stuff higher. But this is still my style and I do like it, it's just against tough competition on this album. I think that there is an alternate reality where I put this at #1 and leave everything else in the exact same order and that would still be alright.

My list is admittedly pretty first-party-heavy (as are many of the ones posted) but even then I still couldn't fit everything.

Man, I killed my own nom by voting for ABBA (which I was on the fence about because I was assuming that they'd win a spot anyway (in fact 4th place is worse than I was expecting for them)). It was either that or Lordi.

I feel like Pac-Man is the only guaranteed lock. Donkey Kong and Space Invaders both have strong arguments but I could see people going with either one, both, or neither. Galaga in place of Space Invaders also has merit.
