basically, my first post contains an image containing a persons brain imagining an apple with a corresponding number underneath it.
it's like a visualization of how well one is able to imagine something in their mind's eye. apparently, some people cannot visualize an apple when they will think of one.

others, on the other hand, are quite able to produce an image of an apple in their head. some of whom, can even imagine the texture, weight, and even the surrounding field or orchid from which the apple was produced, like they can imagine pulling said imaginary apple from an imaginary tree.

it's just like a weird thought experiment about thinking, meaning to which degree are you able to visualize and see things inside your head?
so, maybe for the people who don't see the apple when they think of one, instead they think of the concept of an apple

basically, i guess i have a strong imagination since i can see a lot of the apple, tree, weight, taste, etc when i think of it... and i can't fathom being unbale to visualize the apple. so, i'm wondering, maybe this is some sort of prank?

like, if i were to say "imagine a dolphin wearing a sombrero" instead of "imagine an apple"
do some people really not see a dolphin wearing a sombrero? when for me, he is literally swimming up to the pool bar and cursing at me when i try to imagine him, because in my imagination, the dolphin wearing a sombrero is more of a bucket hat kind of guy and he's mad that i didn't respect his fashion choices.

and why does the test just say like "visualize just one apple" when it's like (for me personally) i can even feel the apple's texture and stuff and even taste it by imagining (ok for taste specifically its more like i'm remembering the last apple i ate)
but the sound and stuff is all there too, or the pull the branch gives when you take the apple from the tree and how it kinda whips back a little bit like "dude, why'd you take my apple? ok, whatever, please enjoy it"

where is it for you? do you see an apple, or do you see nothing?

it's like a simultaneous thing, where i can see what my eyes can see but i can also see whatever i'm thinking about.
same with music, i see that with my eyes open too tho, it's distracting sometimes. idr what the word is for that but my piano teacher was like "omg wtf!!! so cool!!" like it wasn't normal
or even a problem in maths, there are specific shapes and colours for the mathematic equations, numbers, etc.

ffxvi is super forgettable, when 17 is released, I know for a fact I'm gonna think "wait, there was already a 16??" even tho i already played 16 when i borrowed my brother-in-law's ps5 for a couple weeks

I'd guess PC announcement coming this weekend, with the actual release date being in August/September.

I'm also hoping we get a form of DLC that allows us to play as Vincent or Zack.

my best guess is late november, but i'd be insanely happy if they do august cus I have that month off from my job

kinda hoping for no dlc, cus tbh I think that's what pushed the PC release of remake back even further

you can say I'm not grasping things all you want, but all you're doing is grasping at straws by making mountains out of mole hills. especially with your gatekeeper-ish comments like "whatever small indie project you worked on a few years ago"
all you're doing is trying to discredit me with "well, I worked on unreal once", "small indie" etc.
or even when you claimed I said that the "only" worry was the rendering and physics side of things. I said "the biggest worries" had to do with that, because console and PC have entirely different libraries for that stuff. which is true, those are huge hurdles regardless of what you are porting from.
I didn't say "oh, those are the ONLY worries, nope. no need to worry about the code itself"
if I did, kindly point to where I wrote that. I did write that it's fairly straightforward, I didn't write that it's easy. Rebuilding a vehicle's transmission is straightforward, but that's not easy.

you can doubt that I have experience making games all you want, that's cool, especially when all you are doing is speculation and assumptions anyway.

I don't know about vice-versa because I've never dealt with that.

SE, as a rule, does not tend to work on ports of games until the game is completely finished, as history as shown time and time again the past.

i have $15 in eshop credits, so I can get anything that'll be less than $15 after taxes. mostly looking for indie games or anything that doesn't require a lot of commitment, like a pick up and play for a little while type of thing

some games I have and like:
castle crashers
hyper light drifter
stardew valley
katamari re-roll + the other thing, royal something
enter the gungeon (someone suggested this to me last time I made a topic like this and I really like it, prob my most played switch game)
swords of ditto (pretty neat game, I'd rec this to any zelda fans)

so yeah, basically looking for low intensity games that won't drain the battery super fast.
i kind of wanna wait to have more $$ and get breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom, but i only have switch lite so playing big games is a chore. i did that with persona 4 and it was kinda annoying so i stopped and decided to hook up my ps2 and play it that way instead

maybe do what I do, and just assume you're blocked by everyone. that seems to be the case for me anyway, so it's super neat and freeing having the feeling that I'm not really talking to anyone and instead just typing posts and sending them to the void.

yes, I make videogames.
they make it in unreal, same with remake, and UE is native for PC already so I'd be super surprised if they weren't at least working on both versions simultaneously
