They have made exactly 2 games for the past decade. Even if you love them and give them more credit than they deserve for their influence, they are nowhere near as medium-defining as Capcom has been and continues to be.

Game simply never clicked with me. I made it to the final boss and dropped.

Earthbound is pretty open about how much it takes from Dragon Quest. If only it took the part where the game is fun to play as well.

Because they've been confidently driving themselves towards a cliff for the past year with Hillary 2016 levels of smugness and complacency. We've been positively flooded with news about how bad the genocide in Gaza has been for an entire year and the Biden administration has continually denied and downplayed it and stated that they have no power to influence Israel (which is totally not committing genocide) and shouted down people that are outraged at it and told them to fall in line. It comes off flailing to find any way to climb out of the grave they have dug for themselves. Why should anyone trust this after the last 12 red lines the administration laid down and did nothing when Netanyahu ignored them?

I like to think the Democratic base is hardened enough, that this kind of stuff won't hurt our side in getting out the vote, but who knows. I hope this is the right play, embracing past evil Republicans to court some Republican voters who "might" vote for Kamala.

The Democratic base has been screaming at leadership for months about a quagmire in the Middle East. How is Dick Cheney going to reassure them of anything?

I love them both so much and I tear up just thinking about either of them dying. I don't think either of them are at risk of dying for at least another 10 years, but I feel like that still isn't enough time. Grad school takes up so much of my time and I feel like I should be seeing them more. It's looking likely that I'm going to be getting a full-time job soon, and I'll probably be moving farther away from them for that and have even less time to see them than before. My cats are 14 and even though they're fortunate to be as healthy as they are, they can't live forever. I have been extraordinarily lucky in having almost nobody close to me die and I don't know how I'm going to handle it when my relatives in their 50's and 60's start dying.

I'm not seeking any solutions or anything, but this has been bearing down on me lately and I feel like I need to get it out there.
