Samoa Joe is fantastic at everything he does, and he's apparently a sweetheart behind the scenes, based on pretty much every interview ever.

Also, dude is fantastic at physical comedy/timing in Twisted Metal, even playing a character with a dubbed over voice that he's not actually speaking as.

You can call it hypocritical if you want, but I don't see them comparable at all. This is literally happening because of a repressive authoritarian government and people are fighting back against them in the only ways they can. It's literally fighting against masked and armed government militia trampling on people's rights on a daily basis. The reverse would be... the government releasing info on people opposing them.
