That's what the republican party has become. Delusional conspiracy theories are part of the party now

starting from a conclusion and working backwards to find "evidence" that supports their worldview is how fundamentalist christian science works. i went to a pentacostal christian school as a kid and this is how they approached anything that appears to contradict their interpretation of the bible.

with enough practice, this method becomes habit, and is applied to non-religious subjects.

a large wing of the the republican party has already been this way for a long time.

persona 5 felt like a bloated overproduced rehash of persona 3 and 4 to me, i lost interest pretty quickly

i would recommend persona 3 (not reload, either og/fes/portable). i think it's the most interesting of the newer persona games

persona 4 is also good. some additions in golden kill the vibe slightly imo but i'd still pick it over 5 or 3r

i have mixed feelings on metroidvanias. theyre fun first playthrough but only fun second playthrough if you can do interesting sequence breaks or change up the gameplay somehow.

somewhat related, one of my favorite metroidvanias is salt and sanctuary. i usually hate "soulslikes" for the knockoff dark soul vibes, but that game has such a beautiful overconnected clusterfuck of a map, and a giant skill tree, and movement glitches that enable interesting skips. i really enjoyed just figuring out pathing in that game, it felt like the devs had their mind blown by an elevator in ds1 and decided every zone needed a dozen connections through fucked up dark caves. it's kind of a janky cheap piece of shit too, which is like the best aspect to capture from ds1, it feels like old school flash x fromsoft

I dont know about heartwarming but Ill share. I do quite a bit, couple years ago I figured I might as well get involved while Im still young and have the time and energy. I serve on 7 different Boards and Commissions in my community and region, in addition to my full-time job. Im most proud of serving as the Vice-Chair of my tribes Tribal Utility Commission. We site all utility projects (electrical, water, wind, solar, communications) taking place on our land.

apologies for double posting but i skimmed past this post somehow. this is excellent, you should be proud!

i do my best to fulfill my civic duty by voting, paying taxes, being a good steward of my neighborhood (not trashing it, picking up garbage, etc)

i also try to befriend people in various local communities, help them when possible, and bring people together who have common interests or problems

when i am spending disposable money i try to shop local. being on good terms with family owned businesses is good for me and them - prices might be a bit higher but you get better service and can do eachother favors

i moved away from home by myself, so learning about local history, caring about my local environment, and building a broad social network has helped me put my roots down and make this place my home. i was isolated for years and just sort of felt detached and lonely.

learning about local history helped me learn about my place in this town's "story", putting effort into the local environment made me feel invested in everyone's general well-being, and integrating myself into the local social fabric made me feel less lonely and more at home. at first meeting people felt hard but once i made a few acquaintances things snowballed pretty fast and now i always have somewhere to be. only problem is now i wish i had more time to be alone and play games lol

TC has a terminal case of capitalism brain rot.
its pretty cursed and shouldnt be something anyone should need to do, but i can see how it would be tempting if it means he can knock out 20k in debt in a few months. i mean, i had no life during school and did nothing but work/study, but i did it to set myself up for the future so i kind of understand.

the monthly payments for a large amount of debt can be suffocating if you dont make enough. that could be like a year's rent depending on where you live so it's quite a bit, so it would probably be a drag even in a good economy
