His PCAs are usually good when he is not talking about me so alpha, y'all and this and that fanbase mouth breathers all basement dwelling betas. Like I even get him calling out a certain fanbase or his hyperbole hatred for certain companies because it is entertaining to read but when he slips in his usual hint of self praise in it, it is just super cringe inducing.

Other than that he is alright. There are lot lot worse users than him around here. His passion for gaming is something I respect even if his opinions on games are usually either 0/10 E.T Nevada desert burial trash or 10/10 best thing since sliced pepperoni with no middle ground whatsoever.

One of the things to look forward to after Contests is his PCAs though. It is almost like a tradition for me at least.
So not ignore worthy in the slightest in my opinion just for his PCAs alone.

Unnecessarily jumbled convoluted mess for the sake of being deep. Bloated unmemorable cast with terrible dialogue topped with cringe worthy accent. Bad overall presentation as well.

Game itself is probably the most disappointing sequel I have ever played.

Probably playing every noteworthy game to 100% completion or close as possible to it. I know full well that some games are simply not worth it but I still trudge on. The stranger thing is I don't even care about trophies but I just got to see all that a game has to offer even if it is behind a ridiculously tedious feat.

I'm a lot better at not doing this now than I was 10 years ago but it the completionist in me is still very much there.

I wouldn't so much as call it frustration than something I'm 50-50 on especially with games I don't enjoy that much but with the very best ones it is usually something I love doing anyways.

I forgot just how frustrating BBE run is on MGS4 can be but otherwise what a fantastic game and such a satisfying conclusion to Solid Snake's Story. The gameplay is just so damn underrated.

I want a full blown 3D Remake the style of DQVIII or XI for DQV is they are going the remake route for future games. That game would be behind only Xenogears, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Phantasy Star IV for my fully 3D AAA high budget remake of JRPGs wishlist that will probably never happen in our lifetime.

Played DQIII as my first one. But it was many years after it's actual release. I remember being stuck on a certain area when I was younger. Came back to it later as an adult to beat it.

I do admit DQVIII is the game that really made me check out all the other games in the series and now I have beaten all the mainline games except X Online.

Also Case 1-5 really hurts the game on replays. My god is the beginning and middle part of that case such a slog. This is a classic issue of length is an issue only if it is boring considering how 6-5 is one the best cases in the series.

Overrated beyond belief

Was heavy during college days and stopped after my first son was born. Now I only smoke when I meet with my friends or have a drinking session. Why? Because it feels good.

Replaying the series right now and I'm at MGS2.
This is the first time I'm replaying the games from scratch without the unlockables in about maybe 5-6 years. So I'm going full 100% in each of the games (Lord help me when I get to Phantom Pain).

Pacing is all over the place with a cutscene/codec after every tiny segment of gameplay especially in the beginning of the plant chapter. Also the locations feel very small. Smaller than even the original MGS1. Collecting dogtags is fun but holy shit does it suck that you have to reach all the way to strut F as Raiden before he gets the means to effectively procure those. And not to mention it is terrible design to have to play the game on very easy and easy to get all the dog tags. Really wish the dogtags thing was not tied to all difficulty levels. I really don't mind Hard and Extreme but having to also play Easy and Very Easy really makes 100% a real slog.

Other than that the game's plot is stellar especially after knowing the events of MGS4 and the gameplay is an awesome evolution of MGS1's. However, Boss battles, area diversity and pacing are the three main issues that clearly put it below 1, 4 and 3 for me though.

How much of these two games are ruined for me if I have already finished Trails of Cold Steel IV?

Fan translation also really puts me off but Ace Attorney Investigations 2 was pretty well done and faithful to the source material so if it is something like that then I don't mind getting those games if they don't get localized soon.

Probably my favorite video game series alongside Final Fantasy and the FromSoftware games starting from Demon's Souls.

MGS1 is still my favorite in the series because of how infinitely replayable it is. The characters and story are still the best and the boss battles are also the best. Gameplay is good for its time and something that I still enjoy (I really don't like the Twin Snakes adaptation). Not to mention this along with FF7 are the two games to have the most impact on me gaming-wise.

Zero interest in NewEWY considering how much the first game blows.

Good to know Days Gone is worse than Second Son so that I never have to try it ever.

Also God of War is really not open-world. Semi at best I would say.

So what wins Game of the Year if no other big titles come out. I don't see BotW sequel or God of War 2 happening (I'll be ecstatic if it does).

Beated last night. Great game and my personal GotY this year but that is not saying much at all because the only other game I beat this year is Persona 5 Strikers. Plan to replay the higher difficulties and see where it would rank in the series for me when all is said and done.

Last two posts blew mind. That's Resident Evil for ya.

Enemy variety already surpassing RE7 which is hallelujah.

Ok game is really good and all so far but why do I get the feeling that they made the atmosphere and locations of the game (and even some mechanics, you know what I'm talking about if you are playing it right now) like this so that it is easier for them to make RE4 Remake sooner than later since the template is all in place.

Really liking it so far. Not sure I would put it close to RE7's initial impact yet though. But to be fair RE7 had one of the best first half in the series.

Did a quick search and I had no idea Umbrella Corps existed and just assumed it was the same thing as Chronicles. And I thought I was a well informed gamer.

6 is a bad game. I'm sorry but anyone who says otherwise has probably very low standards.

Its performance was passable on a PS5 even before the patches but not without a myriad of glitches. Yeah this is one game that really needed to have been a PS5, XSex game.

Cyberpunk even without glitches is at best a very good game, at worst unremarkable with very little innovation and a somewhat lacking open world game. Not the ground breaking WRPG to end all WRPGs like promised whatsoever.

That's like an hour more than RE7 and 3-4 hours more than RE3 for me. Not bad considering I felt RE7 dragged a little towards the end despite being a short game. RE7 had one of the best first half in a video game and set the bar too high for the 2nd half.

It is good enough but not great. Resident Evil 3 Remake had an 80 on metacritic last I checked and that was a disappointing game.

Let's not pretend gaming reviews are measured on a 1-10 scale where 5 is the average.

And before this devolves into a reviews don't matter argument I'll spare everyone a lot of time and stop.

So reviews are not exactly lighting the world on fire but this is Resident Evil so of course I'll play it day one. It is arriving at my doorstep tomorrow or day after at the latest. Can't wait.

The only concern I have is the length. RE3 remake was offensively short and literally cut off many areas from the original. I hope this game is at least 10 hours.
