Pikachu should easily have been a option. Everybody and their mother knows what a Pikachu is. Some who don't even know Pokemon, knows Pikachu but everybody who knows Pokemon instantly knows what a Pikachu is.

Tom & Jerry is more recognizable than half the options in the poll (lol Homer Simpson) and also Santa should not have even been a option for various reasons.

The winner is definitely Mickey Mouse.

I say this living in the mountains of the Himalayas and also having lived in Europe and all over Asia all my life.

It is hard to take Donte and anything he does seriously when the director plastered his ugly mug on him. It really makes every scene so cringey and even if you get past that the plot itself is nothing noteworthy.

The gameplay is really good and was an enjoyable experience but the story and character redesigns hurts it so much and since we are judging the story it gets the lowest score possible in my book for the director's ego trip that made everything look bad and killed the game in cold blood before it even released.

Because by his logic, if there is one facet of the game that rubs him the wrong way, it is automatically 1/10 literal trash. Never mind the fact that topics like these require you to separate the story and the game itself and judge the story for the story, not the game.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XII

I have had way more fun with this game than XIII-2 and the battle system works really well but the plot is just straight up hot garbage. The ending is also laughably bad but at least it finally gave us closure when both previous games kinda ended on a cliffhanger.

The story sucks but I really do recommend this game because the battle system is fun and the Majora's Mask-like time limit system adds a layer of creativity and urgency to the side quests. It is also my most replayed game from the trilogy because first of all it is a lot shorter than both previous game, it has good challenge and offers a wide range of customizability for Lightning.

Short story: garbage story, fun game.

Arthas' descent to madness didn't have a good enough build and after that the story was a little underwhelming.
Illidan's story was more intriguing for me overall.

Mega Man X is not beating RE4 or SotC either.

SotC has a fantastic remake. The game has now become a classic one of its kind game. It was also near MGS1 and MGS3 in strength even in 2015.

Resident Evil 4 has likely retained at least its 2015 strength or is even stronger now. People forget that the series was in an absolute dump at that time with RE6 almost killing off the series. RE7, 8 and the RE2 remake has reinvigorated the series over the last couple of years, not to mention RE4 is most likely getting a remake soon which is only further going to bolster its strength.

Galaxy I believe is likely only a little stronger than Galaxy 2 and a mid tier Mario game in contest strength and I find it baffling that so many people consider it the favorite over RE4 and SotC.

Final Fantasy IV is not on any of these games level and if it is scoring any upset against any of these three games it is against Galaxy.

RE4 > SotC

Why the fuck is FFIV in here?

PS5 has really spoiled me with its near instant load times. While playing Metroid Dread, my one and only complaint was the loading screen between warps but I'm sure that wouldn't even have been a complaint pre-PS5.

Halo Infinite?

I've already beaten the campaign which is better than Guardians and 4 but worse than the trilogy which is also nothing extraordinary. I didn't delve into the multiplayer if that is where it actually gets its acclaim.

I don't know about Inscryption and Chicory but Halo over Dread and RE8 is ridiculous. Halo being anywhere that high on the list is ridiculous.

There's flaws in certain plot points (like the setup to the finale most notably) but the overall package is one of the most emotionally gripping stories in any media. I was invested in Ellie's quest for revenge, I was invested in seeing Abby's side of the story. The finale is also perfect in my opinion, Ellie breaks the cycle of revenge by letting Abby go after having her dead to rights, which was the perfect end to a tale about the gray area between black and white.

The Last of Us 1 was practically a flawless story but The Last of Us 2 was the more gripping one that you just cannot put down till the end.

The best work from Naughty Dog in my opinion.

Plot itself would get a flat out 0 from me considering the first third is basically shamelessly copying Twin Peaks scene to scene, the middle is just one nonsensical dialogue to the next and the end is just a giant mess of a mystery wrap up. However I was entertained by this janky mess of a game and story in ways I haven't even by decent stories so this deserves the same score I'd give to the entire game.
