G1-3 does very well. Many praised the direction the case took, especially for a Case 3 and especially with how they presented the twist. Some even said it's their favorite of GAA1 or even both GAA games. However, people did not like the cast (outside of McGilded, who was very well-liked).

With one English trial under his belt, Ryunosuke finds himself called upon to defend another Japanese transfer student - over-dramatic, over-stressed author Soseki Natsume. Maybe Soseki's cat can lend a paw...

My rating: 1.5/10. God, GAA1 is structured so weirdly. We finally get a full-length case and it's just...well, a complete letdown. The murder is boring and absurd. Joan competes for one of the worst culprits out there, particularly because all the spousal abuse and overweight jokes feel...behind the times. Soseki is fine, but I didn't really "get" him until I realize the significance of his character. The Beates and the general GAA dialogue is what keeps this from the bottom.

G1-2 sinks near of the bottom of the case ranking. People generally liked Susato and Sholmes's introduction, which was the only positive for a lot. It was interesting seeing the point range for Susato/Sholmes! However, an investigation-only case that only lets you search 3 rooms could only go so high, especially one that has a rather silly murder.

Summary:

Ryunosuke's stay in London gets off to a fiery start when he's asked by the Chief Justice of the city to defend an English gentleman accused of stabbing a man during a carriage ride. Ryunosuke's going to have to take down both legendary prosecutor Barok van Zieks and six overeager jurors if he wants to save his client.

My rating: 7/10. Absolutely wild that they gave a "guilty defendant" case as your first case in Britain. McGilded truly makes this case. He's a fun defendant who is tough to really nail down an impression on as the case goes on. Solid witness line too. Beppo, Fairplay, Furst, and Lestrade make a good line-up that they play around with for being the potential murderer before it becomes clear that it could only be McGilded. van Zieks is a little too easy to roll over in trial, but the mystique of the Reaper and McGilded's death adds a really neat dimension to the prosecutor character. Jurors are...fine. Barber Juror (or the knife guy) is probably my favorite normal juror and the Elderly Woman shifting her opinion based on McGilded's character throughout the case is interesting and something I kinda wish the juror system would lean into more. Good case. I just wish it was longer!

I can do AA characters, but I would probably keep it to playable characters, assistants, prosecutors/rivals, detectives, and judges or do it case-by-case. Or maybe I can do both: a series for major characters and a series for each case.

Yeah, I think participation will drop to single-digits if I do fan games or AA cases in musicals, books, etc.

Yeah, everyone pretty much agreed here. Good development for the GAA cast, especially for Ryunosuke and Kazuma. However, it's too long, Korekuta and Nosa are not the best witnesses, and the steak switching is pure fluff.

Summary:

Ryunosuke sets off for England with legal assistant Susato Mikotoba in tow, but things take a turn for the worst when a strange murder occurs on board the steamship they're traveling on. To crack this case, Ryunosuke's going to need the skills of a certain Great Detective...

My rating: 2/10. There's a lot of bad here. It's an investigation-only case and the murder is...quite silly. Even more devastating that Kazuma's taken out really early in GAA, so RIP his theme song. The cast is really weak with Hosonaga really being the only good part here. That said, I'll give it a point for Susato and especially Sholmes, who both make really good first impressions.

Yamask did not deserve to be second from the bottom.

I put materia on everyone, but it just makes sense to have loadouts. I have a load for hard battles with elemental weaknesses, a load for hard battles with no elemental weaknesses, and a load for farming.

I like summons as they are; though, maybe include that every ATB summon command shorten the time you have the summon out.

There's useless skills in the folio? Folio, I really did not mind but I would have loved a filter system or some way to quickly see what I have.

We get a case in the top 5 and now we get a case in the bottom 5. Most people's thoughts on this ranged from "mid" to "forgettable" to "outright bad." The praise on this case is generally about the (returning) cast and no Nahyuta. An interesting conversation came up that this case might do better if there's an AA7, as this is currently the final case chronologically.

Summary:

At the turn of the century in Meiji Japan, college student Ryunosuke Naruhodou finds himself on trial for the murder of a visiting English professor. With the help of fellow student Kazuma Asogi, can Ryunosuke save himself and begin a legacy of turnabouts?

My rating: 6.5/10. I really love GAA's cast right from the get-go. Ryunosuke and Kazuma is a really fun defense/assistant combination and Auchi is bringing the Rookie Crusher Payne vibes. This case in general has a lot of 3-1 vibes, which is why I like it quite a lot! I do think the case slows down pretty significantly at the steak portion, which is why it's not a 7/10. I also like the politics of the GAA world, which definitely makes an impact in this first case.

6-5 was touted as being the best case since the trilogy and it shows. It hits the top 3 overall. Many praised the fact that it's actually two high-quality cases in one, everything regarding Dhurke, and the final revisualization. There were some complaints about how dense the case is and some minor hiccups regarding characterization, but most of those were generally brushed off for everything else.

Summary:

Larry's all too happy to introduce Phoenix to his fiance, but there's just three problems: one, she's not getting married to him, two, she's a murder suspect, and three, she says she can travel through time! Phoenix and Maya take the case to give the bride and groom - and maybe even Larry - a happy ending.

My rating: 2/10. I definitely realized I had Ace Attorney fatigue after this case. I dunno what it is. The long animations, the murder feeling incredibly similar to other murders, and the tiny cast all add to it, but I was just not feeling this case. I seriously try to remember anything about this case and I just think of Ellen wiping the detention center window or Sorin throwing a paper airplane at you. I do like Sorin's story and Pierce is...fine. It's kinda wild that we have like 4 generations of assistants in this case and they all finally meet.

Time has been kind to this case, as I distinctly remember people hating this case. It places above the 5.0 mark. People praised the absurdity of the case, Blackquill's return, and Uendo. People generally didn't like Bucky and the structural complaint about it being a filler case right after a dramatic Case 3 and the clear finale of Case 5.

Summary:

Apollo travels to Kurain Village at the request of a face from his past, only to be drawn into yet another case and the most unexpected of showdowns in court. Apollo, Phoenix, and the AA6 crew come together for this globe-spanning, revolutionary finale.

6-3 scores high. This idea of a Case 3 curse seems pretty silly with so many high Case 3s. Many praised the stakes of the case, Rayfa as an investigation partner, and the incredible Day 2. Many did not like Day 1 and some did not like the lack of consequences for "failing" Day 1. We even got fanfiction out of it!

Summary:

With Phoenix abroad and Apollo off assisting Trucy's show, Athena's on her own when the agency is called in to handle a case involving a family of entertainers. Well, give or take a certain prosecutor's help...

My rating: 4.5/10. I would love to put this higher because I'm expecting many 1s, but I realistically can't. Part of me feels like I like this case more just because of the outcry against it. I always like Athena and Blackquill's return is strongly appreciated. Sahdmadhi is even somewhat entertaining here! I love him being this dedicated scholar to rakugo just for this one case. Uendo is a really fun witness and THE MURDER WEAPON IS UDON DOUGH is an absolute classic. Flaws include Bucky, Geiru being a bit whatever, and the end of the case. Usually, I can predict ahead of Ace Attorney's pacing like "OK they're gonna bring this up." But everything once we get on to different noodles and things actually ran way too ahead of me and I was like "wait, WHAT is happening?"

6-2 does well enough! People liked how central this case is for Trucy and the cast. We also get a magic trick explained and used in a testimony! Some issues include Sahdmadhi, in particular that this is the only case that he goes against Apollo. The murder also seemed to trip people up, in particular the issue about Retinz's alibi being "solid tight." We also get to hear about how reddit loves this case and apparently not this case!

Summary:

Phoenix and Maya's reunion in Khura'in proves short-lived after a priest helping her complete her training is found dead in the middle of the ritual. Phoenix takes up Maya's defense once again, as Nahyuta returns and the rumblings of revolution begin to grip the country.

My rating: 9.5/10. A lot is done right here. It's a really interesting murder that makes the most of the Divination Seances. I especially like Zeh'lot, who might be my favorite one-off victim in the series. His seance is brilliant and his role in the murder is really fascinating. The Inmee testimony is an absolute classic. While I'm sad that Maya comes back...and doesn't become an investigation partner, Rayfa is a really great investigation partner. I also really like how much it pushes forward the Khura'in story. We only have 3 cases there with the last case being explosive, so this case has to do a LOT of work of setting the stage for the revolution. And it does it really well with the story of the Inmees.
