Shadow feels a lot more natural to do before Spirit because you are always running by Kakario Village for one reason or another whereas the Gerudos are quite out of the way. Like unless you are doing the Biggoron Sword quest there is basically no reason to head that way besides curiosity.

I really wish Rhydon actually stuck with the rock rhino theme instead of going all kaiju. I know that Rhydon was the first Pokmon created so technically Rhyhorn is the one off-theme but still.

Game Freak makes a lot of truly baffling decisions. I'm mostly just happy this was among this was about as dumb as they got in Gen 5.

The comments are blaming the woke but this change is 100% free-market capitalism. Fact of the matter is Boy Scouts have grown less and less relevant throughout the years and membership has been in decline along with it. They weren't flourishing before getting hit with a gigantic, entirely deserved legal judgment. They needed to find a way to make more money. And fast.

What's the best way to increase membership and revenue? You double your potential member pool by letting all genders join.

I'd be curious as to how many of the people rage commenting were/are actively involved in Boy Scouts, because as someone who was super involved for years this change warrants a resounding "okay" out of me. High school me would have fucking loved it. Today, I do recognize that there is value in having spaces to foster healthy male bonding, so I can understand the disappointment in losing Boy Scouts as that sort of venue, especially for boys who don't gravitate for sports. But frankly Boy Scouts wasn't exactly good at in the first place (and the changes to make it good would be considered far more woke than letting girls in) and the alternative to letting everyone join is just shutting down entirely, so that safe male space would be going away regardless. At least this way they can still have an organization kids can join focused on conservation, outdoorsmanship and civic duty.

Every single 3D Zelda has had fall damage and the ability to mitigate that damage by rolling.

Arkane Austin is sad because they made some gems just to have a live service game they didn't want to do forced on them and then fail.

But Tango is baffling. Microsoft very clearly wants to make Gamepass a big thing and they do that by making a lot of games day one available on it. That makes sense. But if you are doing that you have to reframe how you view the games you are Day One-ing. They are no longer business designed to generate revenue, but cost centers for Gamepass. That's also okay. What is not okay is to essentially make something a cost center and then judge it like it's a revenue generating business, because it will always fail.

The enite plot of Lion King falls apart as soon as you start giving more advanced sentience to other animals.

Like why the fuck would elephants, animals that larger, smarter and functionally unthreatened by lions, allow Scar's reign to exist. They could easily overthrow him and his hyenas, especially with rhino, hippo and giraffe support.

Easy to claim comedy is dead when you dealt the killing blow yourself.

Not a single member of the gang even approaches being a mistaken as a good person. None of their actions should ever be interpreted as an endorsement. If anything it's the opposite.

Pretty much every single Berlanti CW show had at least a 20% ratio of LGBTQ+ character ratio with shows like Riverdale and Batwoman being considerably higher than that. So the channel basically canceling all those shows is definitely not an insignificant hit.

But even more than that it was people making light of rape and sexual assault which is obvious bad.

I wonder what gay main/supporting characters as a percentage of total main/supporting characters is and if that has seen similar decreases as of late.

Because there are just fewer characters on TV now than their used to be because there has been a significant drop in the number of shows. And even the shows that are on TV have fewer cast members than shows used to as a means to reduce cost.

I genuinely don't know how you come up with a lore explanation for it. Like the idea someone could come from New Zealand isn't completely unreasonable, but to come from New Zealand and end up in the Khans is quite the stretch.

I wouldn't necessarily talk marriage but I think casually talking about whether you have kids as a future goal is fair game. That can be a hard deal breaker for people.

Work friends can be real friends but not all work friends are real friends.

In my public accounting days I had a lot of work friends. And a lot of them ended up being real friends. People who I still hang out with to this day, despite most of us not working there anymore. But a lot of those work friends. People who I talked with daily, had gone out to the bars with, and got along with very well, ended up being just work friends. When we went our seperate ways, we lost touch completely. I'm sure if we bumped into each other while out and about we'd strike up a friendly conversation and maybe go grab a drink but I'd wager we wouldn't stay in touch after.

At my current job. I only have work friends. No one is even threatening to be a real friend and that's okay.

For lawn fetishist, they do stick out from the classic uniform green lawn look.

But even for those those that don't care as much. They grow taller than most lawn plants, the grow quickly and they spread. And their stalks do look pretty ugly once they are naked. Like I don't care about having a perfect green turf lawn but even I get annoyed when with just patches of dandelions pop up compared to the other plants in my yard.

The other aspect is social. Right or wrong, dandelions, especially ones that have gone white, are considered weeds that are supposed to be removed. By extension a person who has a lot of dandelions isn't taking care of their property and thus are lazy and have bad maintenance. And that is not an assumption people like having made about them. So people who might otherwise not care about dandelions, get rid of them anyway. And that just perpetuates the cycle.

XD is good. Colosseum'a shadow mechanic is just way too slow and grindy for me.

Most sociopaths have the sense to not publicly share stories like these. This is actually very brave.

My real hope here is that Microsoft will want to capitalize on the newfound Fallout hype and want to get a new game in production, but because Bethesda is backed up they'll have to turn to a different studio that they own with Fallout experience, Obsidian.

What will actually happen is Elder Scrolls 6 just gets pushed back so Fallout 5 can come out first.
