Her version of Both Sides Now is one of my favourite songs of all time. I had heard the original of this song and several versions before and never cared for it but her voice just completes the song imo.

I love Carly Rae Jepsen though in general... I haven't listened to her full discography but I really love the albums I've heard.

it's funny that whenever friends or seinfield gets brought up someone has to say that seinfeld is great and friends sucks or vice versa

but i remember i wanted rogue squadron and my mom bought me this instead because she didn't know the difference and i was SO MAD AT HER FOR GETTING ME THIS DUMB GAME

but after several months of it sitting there unused I gave it a shot and it was awesome

So this is an infographic that gets updated every day for my city, Edmonton in Alberta, Canada

Population of the greater Edmonton area is 1.3 million and we've only had 524 confirmed cases total, with 13 deaths. In May, we only increased cases by 34 and 1 death, so basically COVID had no impact in May.

It's well known in the city that the hospitals are pretty empty, so I don't think this is a case of the city just isn't testing or is manipulating the data in some way.

My personal experience throughout this whole thing been that people are very cautious about social distancing (people in stores maintain distance and are nervous getting close to pass eachother, and outside they will cross the street if they see me coming with my dog or whatever), and a lot of people do wear masks and gloves.

So it seems to me that the coronavirus did make it to Edmonton but basically has not spread at all in the populace due to the quick measures and people taking it really seriously, so that's really good.

I'm a bit worried though. When all the shut downs started, I made some arguments in here where I speculated if it's possible to smooth the curve TOO much too early where it doesn't start spreading enough to move through the population to utilize hospital capacity properly and begin building herd immunity. Then when restrictions lift, COVID will spread just like everywhere else and overwhelm capacity.

Funnily enough, it seems like my city is in exactly that situation. We implemented measures so well early on that basically nobody in the city has it. So if we start lifting restrictions and everybody stops taking things seriously because we are already mission accomplished, it could spike more than we can handle.

I think the best thing to hope for is that lifting restrictions is done in a gradual way that allows the virus to spread in a reasonable way but not in a giant spike

Hard to say though.... today is my first day back in the office and measures are pretty strong here... but I went into my backyard yesterday and my cousin was there after biking with 3 of his kids, a family friend and 2 of her kids, chilling in our patio furniture with my brother and cousin that I live with, and nobody seemed to be concerned about social distancing anymore....

I think Sarah stands a good chance at winning that F3 if she makes fire faster than Tony.

I also think Natalie should've given up her necklace. The "wow" factor goes a long way, especially for someone who had only been in the main game for like 5 days.

She did well to pull 4 votes but I think the right play was giving up the necklace and beating Tony at fire. I said it live before she lost and I still believe it -- that's the winning move. Understandable why she wouldn't though. She had confidence in herself to pull the win regardless, but oh well.

I definitely think Sarah had a good shot of winning by beating Tony. I think her chances of winning against a Natalie or Michele that beat Tony is. I agree with Tim, putting Sarah up just seems bad on all fronts

I have to think that if Natalie's confidence about beating Tony and fire, can you even go forward with that choice of doing it yourself?

So yeah i just finished the finale, my rough thoughts

Tony played a great game all throughout so him winning is good. I like him a lot.

But I really liked Michelle and thought she had a decent shot.

I think Natalie did not play well at all. She had idols and won an immunity so she was completely safe from being voted out, but whenever she had strategic choice, I think she chose poorly

• Voted Ben in the first tribal council instead of Sarah (maybe because of fear of fire making)
• Chose Denise in the revote instead of Sarah (only reason I can think of is not wanting to force a fire making competition which would build the winners resume, as they would likely want to bring the winner to the end, but I think Natalie makes later errors that make me not want to give her credit for htis)
• Told Sarah about her second idol
• Played her idol incorrectly on herself, having no impact on the tribal
• Put Sarah against Tony for fire, meaning she has to face either Tony at the end or Sarah, who will have credit for:

1) that big speech at tribal about women empowerment that I think won her a lot of street cred
2) taking control of tribal and voting out Ben
3) beating Tony Vlachos, big papa of the season at fire.
4) joint credit for a lot of Ton'ys moves

It's just all such bad choices, and I think we see enough of Michelle pointing out to Natalie why these are all bad ideas that these weren't her ideas

I think MIchelle saw the right path through all of this, just like she did earlier with Nick and Jeremy, but her biggest weakness is not being able to convince her allies not to make stupid choices. Probably the biggest failure in this regard was not pushing harder to get Natalie to put her in for fire against Tony (another last minute dumb decision by Natalie)

I don't necessarily think Michelle should have won even though I was rooting for her, I think she always had a really good sense of what was going on and what her path was and that's how she kept wiggling through every situation to the end. I'm unhappy she got no votes because I think she deserves a lot more credit for her game instead of Natalie

I'm a lot more pro edge than most but I feel like Natalie got her votes because of the standard Edge bias of people who got to spend so much time with her throughout the game. I don't think she should have gotten that much credit.

Ben should never be allowed on Survivor again.

I didn't really follow this as it was happening, but my friends were saying that Cloud saved Zack in his last stand during the 7 seconds or whatever. But they might be misinterpreting it.

I guess they are assuming that what he did directly caused the things we immediately saw were different, but your suggestion implies we have yet to see the result and we'll find out later.... I think both concepts are cool with me.

This is a case where the events of the original FF7 all canonically happened, and this is take two where Sephiroth knows how things went and that he lost, so he's causing changes. The plot ghosts know how things were supposed to go and have been trying super hard to make sure they go that way.

After all, at the Midgar point in the plot, Sephiroth shouldn't really give any kinds of fucks about Cloud in particular. But this is post game Sephiroth, maybe even post AC Sephiroth, so he's actually does see Cloud as the personal adversary that Cloud has always seen Sephiroth as.

The end of the Midgar fully commits to changing a few events after keeping things mostly the same the whole way through, so now we are coming out the other side with some differences.

Going into the future releases, this is full on new timeline, baby. Anything could happen. This took me from not caring at all about this remake to being 100% on board. This is awesome.
