Pandora's Tower though I did have a lot of fun with. I really enjoyed the show overall although with how much they held back the Also, yeah, the only iterations of that meme I saw were so heavily edited that I had no idea it was from this show until I watched the episode. | Cybat 03/22/21 12:28:21 PM #236 | redrocket posted... what are you referring to here? -BvS portrayed Superman as highly divisive - that was, like, the whole point - but after he dies everyone (including Bruce) is unanimously sad about it even though nothing bad has happened yet without him -The Knightmare doesn't matter at all (I know Bruce actually mentions it in this version but only very late and pretty understatedly; how was his first reaction to seeing a Parademon not "holy shit how the fuck did I have a dream about these things") -Luthor was the one who found all the superheroes in the first place and assembled the files that Bruce and Diana found, and also he was the one who first found out about the Apokolips threat, yet he does nothing in this movie at all -JL establishes that Batman has a reasonably amicable relationship with Commissioner Gordon; how does that jibe with his actions in BvS? -Everyone already knew that Superman wasn't going to stay dead so they didn't need to do anything with that, but they specifically had the dirt jiggle on his grave at the end of BvS implying it was going to be a self-revival. Apart from the jarring tone stuff, all of the dumbest parts of the original cut are still here (Superman invalidating the rest of the league in the final battle, Steppenwolf just being a big boring fight monster, everything about Superman's revival except for the initial skirmish, the humans just straight up burying their Motherbox in a hole...) I'm still not sold on Snyder's overall vision by a long shot (almost none of the ways that the original made BvS even worse in retrospect were addressed either) but I am at least intrigued enough after the epilogue to want to see where it's going. --- Is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is? |
