Basically all of Geidi Prime was wonderful It cuts at a point Herbert made when asked why he didn't include aliens in Dune, where he said that given enough time and separation, humanity would basically "become" aliens. That's pretty much what happened with Geidi Prime. All the people there barely look human anymore, the architecture is unlike anything we've seen. Like if the movie was just "Thor: Planet Hulk" with the Ragnarok storyline cut out I probably wouldn't have had an issue with it But Ragnarok literally translates to "Doom of the Gods". It was forshadowed in Thor's vision in Ultron as being the painful and horrifying destruction of Asgard. I can't stand what they did to him after Age of Ultron. I get that making the character a dumb himbo and turning his films into comedies was a way to give Hemsworth some more to work with, but the character is absolutely missing that larger-than-life sense of grandeur that he and his stories have in the comics. The first rule of screenwriting is "show, don't tell" but A LOT of writers disregard that rule and use dialogue as a crutch, whether to explain what's happening in a scene, declare a character's motive or mood, or to worldbuild. And because media literacy is so terrible nowadays, people seem content for things to be this way.
