How is he unserious though?

• Ran for president with no prior political experience
• His implementation of UBI is poorly thought out and reeks of an excuse to gut other social safety programs
• He was never going to win the Democratic Presidential primary, but in an actual competitive race (the NY mayoral primary, where he actually entered as the frontrunner) he blew his early lead by running a shit campaign and alienating everyone but his base.
• Created "The Forward Party", which is a political party without any sort of coherent ideology attached to it and as far as I'm aware has yet to actually put forth a candidate in any races.
• Unable to articulate how he would intend on achieving any of his bolder stances if elected to office.

He's a rich businessman who has some interesting ideas and likes to hear himself talk, but as a potential public servant he's inept.

A party primary only tells us who's the most popular candidate in a party by party diehards. The general election is what matters.

And if he couldn't win over voters in the primary of the party he hopes to represent, people who would be closer to him ideologically than moderates, centrists, or independents outside the party, then that doesn't say much about his ability to win in a general election.
