They announced a lot of names and silhouettes of future characters at the end of the broadcast, only four of which could be 5*s for 2.4 and 2.5, so the rest could end up being 4*s (or just NPCs I suppose, and one is likely to be March's new form).

They're similar to Ruan Mei but are likely to have very strong break synergy with Firefly.

Nothing wrong with rainbow sets if they produce a better overall result than the standard 2-2 or 4-piece!

It's worth adding that instead of a new 4* we're getting a new Trailblazer form in 2.2 as well - Imaginary Harmony. Interesting to see how that turns out since there's a lot of strong competition for that role!

On that topic, how long until we know what Acheron's signature light cone does and whether we can get away with using a 4* instead?

Luocha and Jingliu, in that order, are now being speculated as the other 5* banners next patch, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow! I'm probably more interested in the 4*s on Acheron's banner though. I've been holding onto my free 4* reward from the event in case the banner affects which I pick from an Asta or Yukong eidolon.

I'm fairly relieved as well that we're getting a few banners consecutively that I feel comfortable passing on, especially given how 2.0 started with BS/Sparkle/Acheron back-to-back-to-back.

Clearly not everyone agrees though since some of the reaction to this guy's reveal (or rather the fact that he is neither Sam nor Firefly) has been borderline hysterical.

I think people just don't have much faith in City being given a sporting punishment that actually sticks. Fines just get easily absorbed.

Whilst I agree that's probably the optimal team for her, I can't imagine subbing out SW for Guinaifen or even Welt is too big of a drop-off.

Even at the time it seemed like they were trying to make an example of Zaion, given how her termination notice amounted to an absolute character assassination, and they got away with it despite many of the same hallmarks existing between that case and this. The backlash against management was virtually nonexistent because she simply didn't have a large enough fan base yet or goodwill/credit in the bank to win over Niji fans. You'd think the same trick wouldn't work on their largest female EN streamer, and by and large it hasn't with outside observers, but it must say a lot of the internal culture that's there's been barely any sign of public dissent from their other streamers over this.

Magician is like the definition of a car crash in slow motion so there's just this morbid curiosity to see how things inevitably go wrong.

Acheron seems like a Lightning Hunt character in all but name. It's only recently that people even discovered she was Nihility, right? She'll have reasons pertaining to her kit for this, but I think the main knock on effect will be the inability to give her easy free crit stats via light cone. I guess unless her signature LC provides that any way. It really wouldn't surprise me.

I haven't even moved on to any of the Penacony content yet, I've spent all of my available time building Black Swan and getting gated by actually running out of the generic levelling materials for the first time ever. On the plus side, I have a super swag Black Swan now. Took her into PF4 and scored 80k points on the first attempt. Her signature LC is gross.
