I've asked a question about starting from the "beginning" and was told with the various retconning and whatnot over the years from the Bronze Age, Silver Age, Gold Age, and onward that like others have mentioned it is better to start with an arc you enjoy and continue from there.

Indifferent. They're just shoes. I rarely even look down at other's feet. Now if everyone wore the same shirt/jacket and pants, it would feel weird at first but eventually it'll just be the norm for me.

I'm honestly am not sure if I find such reaction good or bad. On one hand, it's great if somebody intended to harm you and you reacted fast enough to disable them or get out of danger. On the other hand, there's bound to be folks who are just sleazeballs getting too physical while attempting to flirt but really meant no harm. I guess better safe than sorry?

By chance a fellow Scout leader's son is a friend of this person and I was told he's not White, he's Chinese. As far as that student is concern, Evans is just a notable historical figure. I have mixed opinions about the censorship of infamous historical figures so have no stance as to whether or not the teacher or principle shoulda step in the moment they saw his costume. But as far as what I'm told from my fellow Scout leader, the student really did not mean any harm from this. Funny enough, I'm told that student is currently out of the country for summer break so might not even know about this fiasco.

If push comes to shove and it's a matter of survival, sure. I'd wait for the person to be dead at least. Still, it would have to be a very grim situation. I'd resort to eating any nearby vegetation first if available and if I recall correctly, average person can survive three weeks without food.

I finished replaying the GotY version recently and familiarizing myself with the game, I'm thinking of doing another playthrough with one of these major mods. I recall being told one of these is more true to the original game and add-on some features while the other drastically changes the feel of the game.

To any Deus Ex fans who have played with one or both mods, what are your opinions? Of course I was also thinking to replay the GotY version except with an aggressive "loud" approach this time instead of stealth.

Im against fining people for stupid petty shit.

Then that's when we attempt to change said rules so folks are punished in a more reasonable manner that still gets the message across. Or in the case of the TC, perhaps his punishment served as a reminder to the rest of us to never take that chance to not pay for a simple parking fee.

EDIT: I guess another way of looking at this is TC probably paid for 64 other people who have parked without paying and weren't caught. As far-fetch as that may sound, I wouldn't be surprise if that's how some fines are calculated.

Rules are rules. As stupid as some are, we don't need to agree with them, we just need to follow them or attempt to change them in a reasonable manner. I do agree said fine for the TC is overkill but if it was any less, would he or any of us actually be mindful to avoid future violation? That's why I feel said fine should only sting but not cripple someone financially.

Depends on one's perspective. Low income folks who goofed off probably do not want to deal with a $400-500 speeding ticket which can easily be 1-2 weeks of pay. While someone making $80-100k a year, such speeding ticket is maybe a days worth of pay.

That doesn't make it any more okay on my end. I can't recall 100% but there was a car there when I came back to the spot. I can understand someone coming home at 12-1am, finding someone else in their stall, and having to choose to look for street parking, or calling a tow truck and stuck waiting until they arrive to move the other car. If I couldn't find nearby street parking, I doubt the tenant will so said person shouldn't have to deal with my laziness just because it's 1am.

I've had my disagreement with other GameFAQers before but I avoid as much as I can of letting it degrade to the point of hurling insults. Even if I "win" I am winning against some stranger online. Frankly such a "win" is meaningless to me.

When you live in a first world country and have a more privileged lifestyle...theres really nothing more to get worked up over and harass your fellow man about than whats going on in the movie/tv/sports/gaming world.

When some folks in the world are fighting over something as simple as clean water, kinda puts into perspective how pathetic some complaints are. Of course it's all relative. The issues they deal with is kinda trivial to us while we have our own issues to deal with.

That's what I am thinking. Similar to how customer services have that automated message that you may be recorded. Customers might just have to choose to accept being recorded or not be served.

Speaking of which, I think some Uber/Lyft drivers have been recording their interactions, right? I'm sure there's been cases of rowdy customers and the recording put the driver in good light.

Nobody should be fined that much just for parking their damn car

Personally I do feel a fine needs to be high enough to sting but not so high that it's borderline crippling. I actually would prefer percent base fines that's based on one's income than a fixed rate. What's the point of a fine if no one learns because one person can brush it off while another person is financially crippled by it.

I actually am in agreement with MrMelodramatic here. It sucked for me but it is within the right of whoever that spot belonged to and it was my fault for not looking for an actual legal parking spot elsewhere. I got lazy and literally paid for it.

Wonder if/when internal cameras will be mandatory in addition to dash cams. From the driver's point-of-view, that would feel like a worthwhile investment to cover me arse. Of course, there's the issue of people giving flack for not giving permission to be recorded.

Its supposed to be the best man by tradition. But who gives a f*** about that.

Personally for me I would consider being Best Man an honor, or a curse, and would put in the extra effort to fulfill said position. I do wonder if any folks have turned down being Best Man/Maiden of Honor.

My cousin didn't have a traditional wedding either, they just did the civil ceremony. Their reasoning made sense though. Most weddings are bloody expensive and that money could be put to better use (i.e. down payment on a house).

I know some folks suggest the bride and groom makes back some money from gifts but I'm sure it is never enough to cover the entire wedding and not all guest give a generous gift. I always try and gift enough money to cover for my seat, food, drinks, etc. but I doubt everyone follows that rule-of-thumb.

Yes, but in my experience it never amounts to much. Which is honestly fine if you ask me.

I can agree a tamed bachelor party can be fine, especially if not everyone can spend $500-700 for a weekend at Las Vegas. Having a fun and memorable time together is more important than what is done. A former Scout leader wanted to go camping but he knows his friends do not like camping so instead they did dune-buggy for several hours in Las Vegas.

Or the Maiden of Honor organizing the bachelorette party. I've been a groomsman for two of my closest high school friend's wedding. For the first wedding, the Best Man was another one of my closest high school friend but as far as I can recall he didn't do much in regards to planning the bachelor party. Another groomsman, myself, and even the Groom himself planned it.

For the second wedding, the Best Man was the Groom's brother but when asked, I was told he wasn't planning anything so it fell to me and other close high school friends to plan it.

Being the closest friends I can agree we should be involved in the planning and give the groom a grand ol time. But I figure the Best Man would still be the one to spearheading the planning with the rest of us supporting and helping out.

Was this never a "tradition" of sort or it really just depends on the individual?

More or less my thoughts. I don't want aspiring developers to feel discouraged because they don't have the support and funds for their startup game(s) that AAA companies have at their disposable. Even if we do need to sift through a pile of rocks for that occasional gem, I do feel the good ones will stand out in some form or another.

Started with Firefox in the 2000's and switched to Chrome 10+ years ago when I started using more Google products in general (i.e. phones, apps, etc.) as I though the transition from mobile to PC might be better if I keep the medium the same.

Wowza. Think I've replayed that at most three times. Once just to play through it and the second and third time to max out a vanguard to carry over into Mass Effect 2. As beefy as that vanguard was on insanity difficulty, it got tedious with the pistol build.

It's rare for me to replay most games twice actually. Kinda just depends on when I get that itch to replay something or when I remember some fun moment in said game and decide to re-install it.

Technically I played Mario Brothers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II the most on the NES but I never actually finished those games so didn't count those. I was only thinking of games that I replayed from start to end. With Mario Brothers and TMNT II it was more like playing from start to....50 to 70% dozens of time.

Including New Game+, which game have you replayed the most and how many times? For me it'll be Deus Ex at five times. Final Fantasy Tactics might be up there as well but I can't recall the exact number.
