500GB is nothing with over 500 games.
Given the size of some games, I can agree a 500 GB won't carry you that far but at the same time that is only if you installed and are playing multiple games at the same time.

Me? I have Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, Borderlands 3, Morrowind, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and a few others installed across a 500 GB and 250 GB SSD. Actually kinda annoys me that Borderlands 3 was 75 GB. Hopefully I will "beat" Skyrim soon so I can uninstall it.

After his COVID-19 situation is over, does it seem no matter what happens/will happens, the city/state/Federal government will get chewed out regardless by the general public?

After all this, I'd imagine some folks will say we overacted in our response to slow/contain the spread. Some folks I'd imagine might feel it is because of these quarantine protocols that the spread of COVID-19 was slowed/contained.

Should the situation get any worse, some folks will feel it is a good thing these quarantine measures were taken while some will probably feel these quarantine measures should have been taken sooner.

Regardless of the outcome later, is it a simple matter of better safe than sorry even though some folks livelihood are at stake with the closure of various businesses?

Comments and opinions are appreciated,

Thank you

Our boss/company owner finally sent out an official notice that we fall under "construction and distribution industry" thus will remain open during the California "stay at home" order. I wonder how many businesses will push back saying they are "essential". Our company haven't heard anything official from our boss/owner but I overheard some folks in management thinking along the lines that since our company provide services to the essential manufacturers', we technically would fall under essential services as well.

We deal with material handling/storage (i.e. storage racks, shelving units, etc.) and our clients are warehouse/retail stores owners. I feel management's mindset is stretching it to the extreme but I guess until the City/State comes down on us, we're gonna remain open.

No official announcement yet from our boss. We deal with the material handling/storage industry (i.e. storage racks, shelving units, cantilever, gondolas, etc.) and our clients are typically warehouses and retail stores. Think some folks in management might feel that is technically enough to lump us along with the other "essential" industries. I guess so long as the doors are kept open, we'll still come to work.

Even before the coronavirus fiasco, whatever supplies/tools I have are kinda scattered throughout the house so in the event of an emergency (i.e. earthquake, evacuation, etc.) I would be scrambling around looking for stuff.

Based on the general public reaction to the coronavirus, I cannot help but feel I really should better organize my emergency supplies/tools and even buy extra tools to store in the kits.

As of now, how prepared are you should markets, hardware stores, etc. closes down and/or you need to evacuate?

Interesting note. My mother works at an assisted living facility in Idaho. The State of Idaho tried to block them from doing it; they told the State to fuck off, lol. Idaho's conservative government doesn't give a fuck about our lives.
Well that's just bizarre. Those elderly folks are at more risks so seems logical to take preemptive measures. Did the State tried to block them because they didn't follow proper procedures or didn't want them to cause a panic?

I can understand there are proper steps to enact something but with how slow city, state, and Federal governments take to do stuff, I can understand just ignoring them and doing it yourself.

Aye or for other similar rewards such as travel points. So long as one is financially responsible enough to pay off each monthly bill to avoid interest charges and there are no special fees/criteria, the user is literally gaining "free money".

Hell, think one of my friends purposely open up new credit cards to get their promotion (i.e. $100-500 cashback if you spend X amount in 90 days) since to him the hit to his credit score for opening a new credit card account is minor enough and worth the the promotion reward.

rexcrk posted...
Yeah why are people acting like its weird to pay for stuff like groceries and coffee with a card?
Maybe credit card in general has a bad reputation due to the irresponsibly folks thinking credit cards are "free money" up until the bill comes in and they owe more money than they have? Overall I do feel not everyone who gets credit card truly understand how they work and/or the fees and other criteria involved.

I can understand banks are still a business to make money but I do feel they are a little too eager when it comes to approving credit card applicaitons. One kinda need really bad credit to be turned down I'd imagine.

Kyuubi4269 posted...
It keeps your card active and builds your credit score.
I can't emphasize the importance of the latter enough when it comes to major spending/loans. My brother-in-law had to co-sign for a car years ago because he had no credit history. When I financed a car three years ago I had no issue doing it myself since I had a well established credit history by that point.

.....decks similar to Kithkins, Treants, and burn decks? The last time I played Magic the Gathering was over 10 years ago with the Lorwyn, Shadowmoor, Alara, and Zendikar Blocks. I enjoyed the weenie Kithkin decks and muscular Treant decks. Treants were a favorite of mine given their relative simplicity and brute force power. I enjoyed the typical burn deck as well but never could make one that lasted in a Two-Headed Giant play setting.

Friend and I might get into MTG again but kinda have a draft within ourselves so we don't go crazy with spending money and buying individual power cards. If I want a deck similar to Kithkins and Treants again, what might be the ideal approach?

One video showed us meeting, Red XIII, Sephiroth, and learning about Jenova while still in Midgard but I assume that mighta been a leak video of what is to come later.

The two things truly bothering me about this virus, besides getting infected, is how misinformed my 70 years old mother seems to be and that the cost of face/surgical masks jumped up or are no longer on sale.

Some weeks ago my mother told me to be sure to breath through my nose and not my mouth. Yea the nose hair does catch some dust particles and whatnot but it will not make a difference with a virus.

Those face/surgical masks themselves are meant to limit sick people getting others sick but some folks somehow think it will protect them and vendors are jacking up the prices in response.

I do find it unfortunate that the actions and inactions of those involved yay back may have a negative effect on the Scouts of today. I take an online Youth Protection course every year as a Scout volunteer and the online Safes Sports course when I certified as an archery instructor. According to the courses, incidents usually goes unreported because the families and units involved did not want to cause a scene or think they might make a mistake and ruin someone's life over an allegation.

I do not recall when the BSA started doing background checks on adult volunteers but I can very well imagine a Scout leader yay back getting caught, possibly not arrested but kicked out of the unit, moving elsewhere, and joining a new unit who has no idea what he has done with the previous unit. And now those youths are at risk because of the lack of protection back then.

This does not surprise me though. Some adults leaders might put more emphasis on "A Scout is Reverent" when it comes to the Scout Law.

A fellow adult leader in my unit got his Eagle rank in Ohio in the 80's and was borderline atheist at the time. He told me the Eagle Character Board was not happy with this response about what "A Scout is Reverent" means and almost did not grant him the rank of Eagle. I have read stories of Scouts being denied the rank of Eagle for making it known they are atheist.
