I miss the feeling of being new to an MMORPG but I cannot say I miss the Vanilla era. Having grinded various reputation for enchanting and tailoring recipes, farmed for the Crusader Enchant, grinded to Rank 11 Lieutenant General, etc. I wanna say a good chunk of the content was not necessarily challenging, just tedious. That said, it still was a memorable experience. I am trying to play through Classic but simply lack the motivation to do this all over again.

Personally Burning Crusade was my favorite expansion as I thought it offered a good mix of quality of life stuff and memorable Heroic dungeons. Still had issues (i.e. DPS without crowd control were rarely wanted in PUGs, Heroic dungeon keys requiring Revered reputation, etc.) but I really enjoyed the 10-man content. Unfortunately it also meant my guild becoming more selective and resulted in an A Team and B Team regarding raids. Had guildmates who were good people but not necessarily good players getting burned out between the raids and reputation grinding for keys and badges.

Thank you for that insight. Is it fair to say game companies may not have regular flow of income outside of release periods and maybe instead a roller coaster ride?

Besides trying to meet seasonal deadlines (i.e. Christmas), what incentive is there to rush something if there are no other competition? Please note I have little to no business aptitude, so what do I know?

When it comes to certain products or services, if you cannot meet your client's needs, another product/service may eventually replace you. With video games, unless someone actually introduces something to compete with you, fans are essentially at your mercy.

At some point you will lose fans even if there is no competition but besides a game getting cancelled or delayed indefinitely (i.e. Star Citizen), some fans will just continue to wait if there is nothing to feel that void.

I look forward to playing Bravely Default II. It being delayed to 2021 or even later, is not going to affect the gameplay when it actually does come out.

What do I not understand regarding delays and how some fans are actually upset by it?

With nigiri, you just get rice and a suitable topping, showcasing the chef's skill at preparing good sushi rice because they can't hide behind sauces or other strong flavours.
I think that is why I prefer nigiri nowadays over typical Western rolls. I can understand not everyone can tolerate raw fish but for those wanting sushi for the fish, nigiri is the way to go in my opinion. Even more so than sashimi.

As some have said already, depends on the restaurant. I can agree maybe something like spicy tuna roll might consist of the lower quality tuna that is diced up and mixed with the hot sauce but some hand rolls are made with the good quality sashimi or roe.

Yes. Favorite is tuna, salmon, yellowtail, mackerel, uni, and unagi. Tamago is kinda like a dessert for me. Had bluefin tuna once but could not notice the difference/quality compared to other tuna. Funny enough, I tried raw sushi once as a kid and gagged on it. Years later, I love the stuff.

ScritchOwl posted...
Is it good. Seriously I tried it three times in a landlocked state and to me it seems to be a fomo item.
It is good but depends on the quality. I had bad uni once and thought it was the norm. It was gritty and had too much seawater taste in it. My friends told me good uni should not be like that so I tried it again at a different location and it was much better. Texture was smooth and did not have the seawater taste. Ever since then, uni is a favorite of mine but unfortunately most places serve it in limit amount and/or might not have it in stock.

Lokarin posted...
I went to a maki place once (if maki and sushi are similar enough) and it was kinda lame...
To my understanding, "sushi" refers to anything with the vinegar rice. Maki refers specifically to the rolled sushi while nigiri typically refers to the raw fish or a few cooked items on the bed of vinegar sushi rice. And then of course there's the sashimi which is just a slice of raw fish typically. If there is a sushi connoisseur among us PotDer, please feel free to correct me.

There is quite a variety of options when it comes to sushi. If rolls/maki is not yer cup of tea, I would suggest trying out the nigiri if you are willing to eat raw fish.

Lokarin posted...
I haven't had quality sushi so I don't know.
I have had both all-you-can-eat sushi and sushi where you just pay for a bowl/plate of a few servings. It still depends on the restaurant of course but I wanna say places that do not offer AYCE usually have better servings of sushi. The fish taste/feels cleaner and fresher so to speak and flavour seems stronger. I had a $15 chirashi bowl once I wanna say was definitely worth the money as oppose to paying $20-25 for AYCE.

That said, 100 USDs will definitely go a longer way in other hobbies. Pretty sure I can make a decent Magic the Gathering set with that much. On average my decks were $40-60 if I was willing to buy 2-4 copies of the better cards for a particular build.

In all my times of eating at a restaurant, only once did someone in my group questioned their dish. Someone at a table worked as a cook and said the mushrooms in his plate was not fresh. The actual cook/chef of the restaurant came to our table to assure the person the mushrooms are not canned mushrooms. Rest of us at the table just silently kept eating while looking away.

I can kinda agree with both stances, looking up something yourself versus asking around. In some cases, people might ask on a forum or among family/friends because they want the opinions of the forum, family, or friends or to start a conversation.

That said, there are some questions that has nothing to do with opinions or starting a conversation and said person is asking possibly because they are not using the correct search parameters or for reasons beyond my understanding, cannot just look up the information themselves (i.e. what time does a store opens, does a store sells X,)

i need a specific scenerio of what op is talking about then
Apology but I do not have a specific scenario. This question came up as a random thought. The story bout Cornelius Boots was something that just popped back into my mind and I could not help but wonder what if we took his situation and applied it to other culture, professional fields, positions, etc. How might some others react or how much respect would some people have toward a person's expertise if ethnicity does not align with the culture.
