| PK_Spam 09/08/17 5:11:53 PM #25 | Y'know, I've been watching the show for years, and I just can't think of a solid ending. Maybe we get a flash forward to 30/40+ years in the future. Everyone's still working in the bar, and none of them have achieved their goals even though they've deluded themselves into thinking they're smarter and more successful than they used to be. Due to rising property values in Philly, they all now have to live in the bar. Frank is dead, or he's the new Pop Pop and is hooked up to dozens of machines in a hospital and is still constantly trolling the gang. Series ends with everyone huffing glue and drinking with Frank at the hospital. They all laugh one last time before the lights suddenly go out in the hospital room. Dennis shrieks when he feels Mac's hand go up his thigh. Cut to black The end. Honestly though, I think this IS the type of show where it should just... end, without the satisfaction of seeing them all old and together. The last episode should be like any other, and at the end, they get their comeuppance, walk off screen while patting themselves on the back, and we get the lingering sense of "the adventures continue..." to send us off. I love this show a lot, and an ending like that would probably make me cry for a while. --- |
