Ty

I thought Ty stood the best chance but all 3 were capable.

on a similar note, your "[season]'s best moments" vids have been excellent the past couple weeks! i think it's been neat that the netflix seasons have brought in new fans and a renewed interest in the old seasons
Thanks! Yeah, a lot of newer fans -- even a good friend of mine started watching the show again for the first time since like... Australian Outback.

I'm enjoying getting to pick out some of the better moments from each season. It's a nice pick-me-up.

the very things I hate most about modern Survivor and the current state of the fanbase, RHAP included.

As someone who's in front of the online fans a ton, I'm curious to hear more of your thoughts on this.

Looks like Hung/Chee and Will/James would've been 1st/2nd regardless of the alliance.

They should make a rule where you cant U-turn teams ahead of you. I think abusing that system (to find out whos ahead of you) isnt as big a deal as what the Beards did to game the system.

That said playing Demon Hunter has probably been the most fun I've had in WoW. And it's mostly because of double jump and glide. Since I play so casually now, it's a total game changer for how much content I can do by myself, even just exploring the zones (before flying unlocks).

Vengeance DH during Legion was a blast.

It's neat that you're able to swap around. Do you have nostalgia for any of them?
Mostly Priest since that was when I played WoW the most. Raiding vanilla Naxx in that first month was something else. I really enjoyed Holy, getting Benediction, the BWL runs too. Doing PUGs and knowing I was one of the best priests on the server and would try to challenge myself with weak groups to see how much I could keep people up as we ran through Scholo/Strat/UBRS/etc.

Seeing how Shadow is looking good for Shadowlands I may pickup Priest again.

Two hours into Valhalla and its not gripping me as quickly as Origins or Odyssey did. Origins got me with the new coat of paint, Odyssey with the initial story/setting.

I think Ive just played too much of the first two. 150 hours of Origins, 100 of Odyssey.

Valhalla doesnt feel bad though. Its very pretty!

My playtime ranked:

  1. Priest (vanilla main)
  2. Hunter (wotlk/cata main)
  3. Paladin (tbc main)
  4. Monk (mop/bfa main)
  5. Demon Hunter (legion main)
  6. Rogue (wod treasure/rep grinds)
  7. Shaman
  8. Druid
  9. Mage
  10. Warlock
  11. Warrior
  12. Death Knight
7-12 are pretty much interchangeable.

It's my second favorite game, and sometimes feels like it should be #1. I played 2 before jumping into 3 and that set the stage quite well. I also decided to read the first few books too. The atmosphere of TW3 is so on point.

I also never had an issue with the combat. Playing on Blood & Broken Bones difficulty, I found it methodical and rewarding. Particularly with the more predictable human enemies.

It clicked for me in White Orchard, pretty early on. I'm not sure what you'd need to have it click for you. Although I haven't played the game in over 3 years now, maybe time would change my impression of it a little.

tbh whenever I see these topics I don't think I've ever seen people come around to enjoying the game in question.

The game was intended to pave the way for an actual MMO set in the same universe, but it never happened.

It's a single player MMO. I remember playing this back in 2012 and beating it at the 100 hour mark. The combat is the selling point, and to some extent the gorgeous world, but overall the game gets very repetitive. The story/lore is mediocre, and there's a lot of it. Dungeons are all the same batch. I remember trudging through at some point, just grinding the combat.

That said, yeah, the combat kept me coming back. All 3 classes were fun to play. And I'm a fan of WoW so the MMO aspects (generic questing) didn't bother me that much.

Overall I think it's an above average game for what it is. I'll still probably check it out just to see how it looks with updated graphics.
