I mean I understand the desire for utilitarianism if you haven't seen this lady friend in some time, but it sounds like the expectations of this trip with your friends was pretty laid out.

Granted, I think it's perfectly reasonable one of the five days of a trip is to meet up with local friends in the area--that's just sensible. But I think the grand canyon was probably their "highlight" of the trip, so it is kind of shitting on your friends there.

Okay - that's very fair and I can see where they're coming from. She's seen the grand canyon before so I don't think it wouldn't be a deal if she tagged along another day.

They should go off and see the GC while you two go and shenanigan about. Unless you really want to see it too.

We’ve all seen this situation: an exquisite, drop-dead gorgeous woman walking hand in hand with a dude who is much, much less attractive than she is...right? Kind of like a Beauty and the Beast-type situation, but not as ugly? I know I definitely see it on a daily basis.

Well, turns out there’s a reason for that. According to a new study, women are a lot happier when their boy toy is uglier than they are, which explains so, so much.

For the study, researchers at Florida State University evaluated the relationships of 113 newlywed 20-something couples in order to understand if respective attractiveness plays a role in overall happiness, and considering the fact that previous research suggests a combination of a hot wife and an ugly husband make for a great marriage, this is pretty valid.
First off, the couples answered a questionnaire about their personal desires to diet and be fit and sexy, and then, each participant was ranked on desirability based on face and body attractiveness.
The results revealed that women who had attractive husbands were more likely to diet and constantly try to lose weight in order to look better and better ad infinitum, which is not fun. Sure, following a healthy diet for the sake of health and wellness is great, but crash diets and eating dry salad until you're a dizzy mess? Horrible.

This means that those who had not-so-hot husbands didn’t feel the need to diet all the time and (probably) incessantly compete with other women, which makes for one happy woman. Instead of worrying about looking as sexy as their husbands all the time, these women get to enjoy being happy and lumpy with their unsightly husbands.

Protip: For Stardust Speedway's boss, as soon as the silver sonic comes out and rolls into a ball to charge at you, collide with it in ball form as it's rolling towards you and you'll likely hit metal sonic with it

Going to one next weekend. I have two, a black one and a charcoal one. How picky are people generally going to be? Ive read you should wear a lighter color suit to a summer wedding (dark for a winter) but im not sure i feel like blowing money on another suit im barely going to wear since it rarely happens anyways. People are there to see the bride and groom anyways, not me. But, im not wholly against getting a lighter colored one.

I haven't played any better ones, but I did miss a few classics like the SoR games and River City.

Double Dragon NES comes close (I'm probably the only one but I preferred it to all three arcade ones), and Batman Forever was p good tbh, but that's about it. Battletoads was honestly just too weird for my tastes, and Double Dragon/Battletoads for SNES just felt... off... in some way I can't explain.

Do you mean Batman Returns? Batman Forever was the Mortal Kombat rip-off side-scroll and it was awful.

Double Dragon Neon I think is a lot of fun, but there's something special about Turtles in Time. A lot of nostalgia, but there's also something magical there too, I dunno.

Batman Returns was badass. Very underrated game.
