I'm not too down on Future Arc as some people. I thought it was alright for the most part. Though, admittedly, knowing all the answers of Future Arc make rewatching it really dumb.

The forbidden action thing was neat. I remember liking the episode where they're trying to figure out why and how the blacksmith died with Kyouko.

On the parallels, I totally agree and I really wished they explored this side of Akechi more. Unfortunately, it was just kinda...there and lasted a scene.

And yeah, Futaba is described as Sloth, but the Prison is also called Prison of Sloth, sooo....I dunno. Either we get a double Sin or something.

I've heard a lot of variations on how the Seven Deadly Sins were incorporated in Persona 5. I think most agree that the two hidden Sins, Vanity and Apathy, are also incorporated in, especially with Madarame's Palace being called the Museum of Vanity.

I kinda wished they just made Madarame a traditional Sin so that it's a nice, clean Seven Sins reference.

Haru is really incredible once she gets going. Easily my favorite of the party members. The baton pass struggle is real, though. Yusuke was pretty good for me because I fused him a sword that gives him +5 Str, which stacked on an accessory that gave him +5 Str. Aside from that, yeah, he's probably the weakest. I think Makoto ended up pretty weak for me too.

I swear, by endgame, I had a serious lack of Personas that had a good Garu or Zio skill.

Eh, I don't mind the P4 dungeons. I like the atmosphere of each dungeon and it's definitely more enjoyable than Tartarus. Doesn't matter either way, because Persona 5's dungeons are totally the way to go.

Agree with all the other Persona comparisons, though! Especially on music. Life Will Change is excellent, but I feel like Persona 3 and Persona 4 had better overall soundtracks.

also persona 5 definitely has the weakest when it comes to the normal boss music

I listened to Rivers in the Desert before I got to it in-game and thought it was nothing special. Then I liked it a lot after I did get to it in-game. Neat song, but I think Battle for Everyone's Souls is still the best for climactic final boss music.

If the two storylines are gonna meet up, I'm assuming it'll be Saul and Nacho more than anyone else, since we still haven't gotten the reason why the cartel would be looking for Nacho and why Saul knows this. They're probably not gonna meet for a while, though.

Any thoughts on what Season 4 will be or how it will start off?

Great write-ups on L-3. I always saw it as a top tier case. It's enjoyable the entire way through and really sold me on PLvPW. Too bad L-4 does nothing with it...! L-4 investigation is pretty dang good, though.

PLvPW's OST is really solid. Courtroom's Magician struck me too. Maybe the suspense theme?

I didn't know people hated Espella! She's alright. She has a cute design and I was never actively annoyed with her. But she has a lot to do with the main plot that I'm not too big a fan of.

Fates Conquest > Blazing Sword > Genealogy > Path of Radiance > Sacred Stones > New Mystery > Awakening > Fates Revelations > Binding Blade

Didn't play any of the others. I would go so far to say to not even bother with the plot with any of them except Path of Radiance, Genealogy, Thracia, and maaaybe Radiant Dawn. Supports are almost always good, though.

I liked every game except Binding Blade and parts of Revelations.

I was satisfied with L-1. Everything about it seemed better than I was expecting. Flynch, Johnny, and Olivia are all pretty good and fun to watch. The non-murder premise works for me. And I was expecting Johnny to be the culprit, but it being Olivia was good enough for me. The animations on Phoenix in particular are pretty bad, especially knowing that DD/SoJ exists. That said, all the other characters seem fine, so maybe it's just a Phoenix thing? I dunno.

I like Fulbright. I didn't mind him at all in DD, but I dunno if I could have handled him in SoJ too. That theme song, though. So good.

Ema is pretty good as a detective and I wouldn't mind if she takes over as lead detective for the next few games. I'd be interested where they would go if they plan on making an entirely new detective that is meant for the long haul, though.

I know a guy who did this all the time back when I lived in Tampa Bay. He'd laugh at everything he perceives as funny, then turn back and stare at everyone else, eyes wide with hope that we'll laugh too, fear that we might not. Got to a point, everyone in my friends group was constantly remarking about it behind his back, so one day I told him how weird it is. He said he didn't even notice he was doing it, which, eh, seems far-fetched given he does it every twenty frakking seconds, but shrug.

Alright, finally caught up with everything! 5-6 is a great case, but I don't really have much to say on it since it's one of the few cases I only played once. You guys basically summed up all my thoughts, anyways! Team Rimes here.

6-1 is pretty good. Khura'in has a great introduction, Khura'in Judge is at his best, Gaspen is fricken' amazing, and I personally really like Andistandhin, even if he is a retread of a PLvPW gimmick. He's just too fun for me with his animations and his lines.

6-2 is a solid case that lacks polish. I dunno why it was pushed to be a one-day case other than SoJ is kinda stacked as it is in cases. Probably because they had a pretty good murder that they couldn't stretch to 2 days, so they made it a long 1 day case. In any case, I enjoy it. Bonny/Betty aren't exactly the greatest characters, but they certainly have fun animations, especially when together. Count me on Team Betty....but personally, I'll be Team Retinz! I don't really have the issues that other people have with him. Yeah, his breakdown is long and kinda silly, but I liked everything about him other than that breakdown. I think taking him down was pretty satisfying. Apollo and Trucy gets a lot of good quotes against him and both his Retinz/Reus personas are really entertaining.

Also, SoJ has a great soundtrack! I was surprised people have it on the lower end of AA soundtracks, but I guess that says more about AA's consistent quality than SoJ's soundtrack in particular.
