I'm not actively playing any at the moment, but I've put loads of time into Path of Exile and spent $20 on it (for stash tabs), as well as DotA 2 (where I think I've spent roughly $10 for a battle pass and that's it). I also played a lot of Osu, which is really more freeware than F2P (funded entirely by voluntary donations).

It really should be. As it stands, lefty mouse is actually ergonomically superior to righty mouse for everyday use because it means the main part of the keyboard is centred under the monitor instead of being shifted way off to the left. For gaming, WASD is on the far left and that means the monitor is centred properly, so that's fine.

Haven't played it, doubt I ever will because multiplayer shooters have never really been my thing.

Do you have the launcher running in the background when it does? I couldn't get it to do that, regardless of whether or not I was connected to the Internet.

Eh, I prefer having it all in one place and not having to worry about having multiple DRM clients active. It's not a big deal for the occasional game like this, especially for free, but it's not something I want to sustain long-term, and I'm not about to switch from Steam to the Epic Launcher (though that's obviously exactly what they're trying to make happen with these free games).

Yeah, it does happen if you go often enough. I recognize a few of the cashiers at my usual grocery store, since that's at least a weekly visit. Something like a hardware store, though, isn't as likely to be a frequent thing.

Because in order to be passed down through your family, one of your ancestors has to have been the one to come up with it. If you came up with it yourself, even sharing it with family wouldn't be passing it down until you have descendants (and even then I feel like you'd need to at least be a grandfather, but admittedly that's a pretty arbitrary line for me to draw).

This may surprise you, but bigger stores have more people.

Which makes it decidedly less likely that you'll run into the same one often enough to develop an acquaintanceship (spellcheck seems to think that's a word and I'm amazed) with them, especially considering how variable schedules tend to be for those jobs and the relatively high turnover.

I wasn't sure about this, so I did some testing with the free copy of Subnautica I got from them last week (or whenever that was). Here are my findings:

-You will have to download and install the Epic Games Launcher to download the game
-Trying to launch the game directly from the .exe without using the Epic Launcher fails (no error message, the icon just pops up in the taskbar and disappears), regardless of connection status
-I tried disabling auto-update in the Launcher and the .exe launch still failed
-I had an internet connection the first time I launched the game through the launcher. This may or may not have been necessary
-The desktop shortcut that was created when the game was installed does not function without an Internet connection because it's actually an Internet shortcut. It'll open the launcher for you, the launcher will whine about needing to be signed in, and you won't get anywhere
-The launcher can be opened without an internet connection, in which case it'll whine a bit, but you will be able to open the game from there
-Once the game has been opened, the launcher can be closed without affecting it (at least in the couple minutes I spent on the main menu)

So it seems that the launcher is necessary, but you don't need an internet connection to play. This is limited testing such that I can't tell you if there's a time limit on that offline mode, and I can't tell you how it works for other games, but dems the facts for Subnautica.

Buying the initial hardware is quite expensive, but once you've got a console set up the cost/hours of entertainment ratio of new games is pretty damn low.

That's about what I was going to say. The systems and games generally have pretty high costs in absolute terms, but when you look at how much entertainment you can get out of that cost, you're doing a lot better than many other forms of entertainment. That gets even better when you start hunting sales, which is really easy to do in a world where Steam and whatnot means you just have to check your online wishlist periodically to see if anything's sufficiently discounted.

TL;DR: They are generally expensive, but they're a good value for what you get.

And so you learned that "mark and move on" is the best way to deal with trolls.

Pretty much. This wasn't simply a matter of the cops chasing down a white car and shooting the driver, this was a case of opening fire on somebody who very plainly seemed to be trying to kill the officers. That's pretty fair.

She was innocent of the crimes they were trying to solve, but fleeing like that definitely suggests some other form of guilt. Regardless of prior crimes, though, had she survived this encounter, she would have been charged and convicted of attempted murder/assault with a deadly weapon, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and possible dangerous driving if they felt like rubbing it in. In that moment, she had not yet been proven to be guilty in a legal sense, but in a practical sense she was very much not innocent.

Protip: People are a whole lot more willing to forgive somebody for doing awful things if that person recognizes that they're doing awful things and makes a commitment to avoiding them in the future. Where you've continued to insist that you've done nothing wrong in the face of everyone saying that you have, people are going to continue calling you out for being an awful person.

Quite simply, you are a terrible person. You don't have to be, and if you actually want to take advice on how to make some positive changes in the way you approach life, there are plenty of people in this very community who will happily give it to you. Until then, though, expect to be treated as a terrible person, and for nobody to like you.

For one thing, the fact that you've created the (not remotely convincing) alibi of "my hands are full" means that you're expecting that they won't, so you're already operating under that assumption. For another, for such contact to be consensual, you have to know for sure that they do want it. It doesn't really matter that you don't know for certain that they don't; you failed to secure consent before touching them, and that makes it non-consensual.

You get shop deeds after buying everything the shop offers, but not every shop offers everything right away. Most shops get new items in as you raise the development level for the region, and sometimes as a result of quests or story progression. Don't worry too much about trying to get deeds early on, just check stores periodically to see if there's anything new that you haven't bought.

I toyed with the idea of an MCU marathon a while back, and did the math for what would be involved. At that point, it was ~36 hours of continuous movie-watching, and that was like a year or two ago.

That is true. I suppose "the point of any disgaea game is the postgame grinding" does quite a disservice to the characters and writing, and getting through the base story is fun for that reason.

D1 has the best characters and story but I think they've really improved the gameplay in the sequels.

I should really play D2 soon, then, since my friend gifted it to me for Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed 1's gameplay.

Honestly, Icoyar just doesn't seem the type to grope anyone. Not outside of an actual relationship, at least. Anyone who complains about being called a Nazi after spray painting a swastika over a "Happy Hanukkah" poster deserves only as much sympathy as they're willing to put into making amends.

Most of the blade leveling and whatnot can be done on the first playthrough. NG+ offers the following:

-Several new blades become available (I won't name them because spoilers)
-You gain the ability to dispatch any blade on merc missions (e.g. Pyra or Poppi, who normally can't)
-A number of blades have level 4 specials unlocked (dunno which ones or what's significant about this)
-All drivers get a second affinity chart to fill in
-You gain the ability to de-level yourself at inns to gain extra bonus exp
-Vendors appear that sell some particularly valuable items for bonus exp. Most notably, this includes an item that will grant you a third accessory slot

I haven't personally touched NG+ yet, since I moved on to other games after getting all the first playthrough blades (that were available at that point; there may have been some new ones added for free since then) maxed out and beating the superbosses. I intend to at some point, as well as to get the DLC pack.
