Im in love with tifa so my opinion may be invalid but I think her not taking action is largely a result of her natural self doubt that she has struggled with for her entire lifetime. Progress isnt made overnight after all. I have to imagine part 3 will be largely that blossoming

I think I was mentally prepared for the KH bullshit this time so I actually didn't mind the ending nearly as much as I hated part 1s ending. I'm on board for Nomuras wild ride and can't wait to see where they go to finish it

it seems like cloud is in-between both realities and he can see omni-aerith and the rift in the sky because of that. No clue why they seemed to have the safer sephiroth fight this early though

I think cactaur crush was kinda hard, it took me a few tries for aeriths on hard mode

oh I haven't done the brutal or legendary combat missions, because it suggests level 70 so I didn't even bother trying. I figure they have to be done after beating hard mode

good to hear I have a lot left :D Just beat Gilgamesh and transmuted every item besides the gilgamesh armor. I think I'm ready to finish the plot. The only other thing I haven't done yet (I think) is beat that stupid minigame sidequest because it's bugged, so I guess that will have to wait.

Tomorrow I'll try to beat Chapter 13 :D Can't wait

For Zangan, you're gonna want to read the novel Traces of Two Pasts for more characterization on him. It was a great novel, would definitely recommend it

3D Brawler was insanely brutal, I did end up cheesing it with Pause.

Its crazy that I've done it all and still want more. This game is living in my brain. I loved it top to bottom. I might go back and finish out the Assess log.

Good stuff :) I plan on getting platinum as well. I just beat all the hard challenges on cactaur crush, aeriths took me so many tries but then when I finally won I had like 30 seconds left over lol. So weird

I did the first 3 fights legit but when I got to Shiva I just said fuck it and started pause cheesing it. Satisfaction levels way up

it wasnt TOO bad. it took me like 45 minutes or so. and I got A rank second try. but I mained fighting games for like 15 years of my life and fighting games are kind of just multiplayer rhythm games if you think about it hard enough

Oh wow that king tonberry meme deck really can snowball like crazy against the Queen's Blood final boss.

I had to look up a deck to beat her, I tried like 5 times with my buff deck and could get pretty close with the gi legendary but never won. but i found some deck online that gets stat buffs from enfeeblement and that won first try

I got tifa on the chapter 8 date so I guess something swapped since then for me. But I looked it up online and you can just pick who you want to date on new game Plus so I'll just beeline to tifa ASAP once I beat it and pretend like the aerith date never happened

Two legs nothin to it took me like 45 minutes to get the star, it was a pretty big jump in difficulty over the previous songs

I matched tifas swimsuit but not aerith. Guessing I just messed up dialogue somewhere

I got aerith when I wanted tifa :(. I'll just wait for hard mode

Holy fucking shit, if the first fight of 'Gourmands Are We' isn't the hardest in the game I'll be very surprised and terrified of what could possibly be harder. I just love getting swallowed and frog'd repeatedly.

Yeah the second fight actually gave me more trouble. Assuming this is the one with the giant worm and the bird? I'd just kill the bird and then focus on the worm second. When the worm was about to swallow I'd just switch teammates a lot and the worm would get confused on who to target and the AI would usually dodge it lol

I beat the Odin fight after like 5 tries on the lowest difficulty for him lol. Definitely a tough one. People were saying you had to not get hit but I think that's BS cuz I tried swapping to Yuffie and just spamming the shurikens and I wasn't taking any damage but he still ends up casting it. Ended up winning with Tifa/Cloud/Aerith rush down

Then Rebirth came out and was 12/10 so Remake is 8/10 now.

During chapter 11 during the Nibel reactor climb, Yuffie calls us the Yuffie Recon Patrol or YRP for short. Sneaky FFX-2 reference in the wild!

The chocobos in Nibelheim are by far the most fun I feel like a god on this thing

For Yuffie, you give her Speed Demon Keychain, you cast Haste and ATB Ward on her, and then spam Brumal Form while on the ward to give the party infinite ATB

The cheese strats begin lol. I'll keep that in mind if I get stuck in any hard mode fights

Also I haven't played ff7 in 15 years or so and I don't remember any of this Gi subplot, is this new or was this in the original? In the cave they mentioned coming from another planet so I'm guessing they're related to Jenova?

On the third one, I beat it by going through I think four targets after the last uddraft then turning around and going back to get up again. That was much easier that continuing straight where I felt I was doing perfect runs and still couldn't get the upper of the last two 500s.

Yeah I did this too after looking it up on YouTube. You still have to come down with a perfect angle on the first 300 to get the last 300, but if you went too high you'd miss the last one so there was this weird middle ground you had to find with no real cue to help you. My problem was that I'd be shooting too high and just missing the last ring, or I would be aware of that and overcorrect and then only finish in the middle of the last 300 which didn't let you finish high enough for the ending. Just a huge pain in the ass
