How is it not equally callous to force our own citizens to bear the burden of unchecked illegal immigration? You do realize that lower and middle class people are the ones who have to deal with the plethora of negatives associated with people illegally entering our country, right? Is it not callous tell someone that they have to deal with increased taxes, even more thinly stretched social programs, increased crime, suppressed wages, etc or they're evil?

So, a couple of things here:

1) Illegal immigrants are net payers into the social welfare system. They pay things like sales tax and payroll tax, just like everyone else, and thereby help to pay for programs that they are ineligible to take advantage of, such as Social Security and Medicare. A study - commissioned by the Trump administration, who then attempted to suppress the results when they discovered that it didn't support their views - determined that illegal immigrants over the last decade paid about $63 billion more into government coffers than they cost. In other words, if, tomorrow, every illegal immigrant in America decided to self-deport, the government would suffer a net loss of about $7 billion a year. The idea that illegal immigrants are a drain on social programs is pure fantasy.

2) The relationship between illegal immigration and crime has been extensively studied and an overwhelming majority of analyses indicate that illegal immigrants commit crime at markedly lower rates than native-born citizens. This, again, makes logical sense. The majority of those immigrating are doing so for the improved economic opportunity the US offers; to that end, it is not in their interest to risk coming to the attention of the authorities and being deported by committing crimes. An influx of illegal immigration has actually been noted to result in a decrease in violent crime.

3) The idea that immigrants suppress wages is the only one of the points you brought up that is at least debatable. Studies have shown mixed results, but the general trend is that wage suppression as a result of illegal immigration is either extremely minor or non-existent. In addition, illegal immigrants tend to do work in areas that native-born citizens refuse to work in (such as agriculture), either because of low pay, the brutal nature of the job, or both.

4) Even if you disregard all of the above, you didn't actually address the point raised against you, which is this:

Even if you acknowledge that these people are criminals and the accepted punishment for their crime is deportation, that does not mean you need to be cruel and callous in your application of that punishment. You can deport someone without being a heartless asshole to them, as pretty much every prior administration has managed to prove.

It's called Free Win Skred. You try to lock the opponent out of playing Magic by using Blood Moon(most of the land base in Modern only use a few basics), Ensnaring Bridge(makes creature decks pretty much useless), and removal. Then wins by grinding the opponent out with burn spells and Planeswalkers.

Nah, TC has repeatedly shown his bias towards OoT. Just changing the rules (FF 8) and "forgetting" which game was actually next on the list (Tekken 3) proves it.

Also absolute proof isn't required. You just need people to lack reasonable doubt.

That would be terrible for rapists to be able to sue their accusers just because there wasn't enough evidence for a conviction. Rape victims do not need even more reason to fear reporting their rape.

It's not the fact that she's accusing him, it's the fact that she went out of her way to try and ruin his life when there's no evidence whatsoever that he's guilty, and no charges came out of it. She's a spiteful bitch, and deserves to lose this lawsuit.

Yahtzee was saying that they changed Crash's hitbox to be circular from being a rectangle in the original, which makes platforming harder and makes Crash miss jumps that would've been good in the PS1 version.

Any merit to that, and if so, did that get fixed?

I used to listen to a financial advice thing on the radio a lot when I used to have a working radio in my work truck.
A lot of calls were rental property owners asking for help, and the radio guy even mentioned multiple times that rental properties are hard to work with, and there's a pretty big chance of you either losing money on it or not making profit for many years.

But then again, he thinks trickle down economy works, so I'd take what he says with a grain of salt.

People need to stop pretending Trump has some grand plan. He's a man who managed to bankrupt a casino. He has no idea what he is doing.

A tariff war is insanely stupid. Bush implemented tariffs on steel and had to pull it back when it immediately negatively impacted the economy. Trump is doing tariffs 10x what Bush did. Harley already announced they are moving jobs oversees as a direct response to the new tariffs, and they will be the first of many companies. Prices are going to go up and people will lose jobs.

The economy is great courtesy of Obama, but Trump seems determined to fuck it up. It's mind-boggling.

Canada/Europe/China are matching our tariffs dollar for dollar, and if they choose to, they have unique options they could implement that would really hit us hard (which I could go into if anyone cares).

Tl;dr: Trump is going to fuck up a strong economy because he is an idiot.

That sounds sort of like the impression of the game I had, at least from what little I've played. It might be a good game for people that are looking for whatever it's offering, but it only struck me as a very poor example of MGS.

The only reason that's a negative to me is every other MG game I played has been "hide or you're dead", and that was cool. I really wanted a hard mode though.

Still, I've been playing it every free hour, the last 2 days and I've got 17 hours already. I played this and 2, 1 I could never get into because it's dated, so next I've got to look at 4 and that other spinoff game that looks cool.

It's not full Far Cry "soak a million bullets from a turret and survive because you're wolverine" easy, but it's close. Snake would never survive running away from machine gun fire after taking a shotgun to the face. That's a "oh, I'm playing a video game and everything I'm doing isn't actually that cool" moment.

You can play the Twin Snakes, it's a remake of the 1st game with mechanics from 2.
