Maybe you should contact a publisher about this project and see what they say. It would probably be better to do that now than after the fact if your intention is to get it published somewhere.

I have pedit5 instead of Orthanc I want to keep the original game and then mention expansion pack/remakes if necessary. Or would you say Orthanc is a different game?

Yeah they're different. Orthanc is pretty important too. I'm not sure whether it or Moria did the multiplayer thing first. Not sur eif Moria has a party system, but Orthanc definitely has, and not only that it had classes, and pretty varied at that.

So if it's the first RPG with MP, party and character classes I'd say that's pretty important.

'95 has some great stuff but it was kinda bittersweet cause you knew at the time that the fall of the reign of 2D was inevitable.

'87 was great at kickstarting many solid franchises (in NA), with some like CV and LoZ been at the top or near the top of them.

I mean seriously guys 2004 is objectively better, the best Sonic and FF do not dethrone all those other highly influential and all time great games.

You forgot a couple things.

Like: Super Metroid, Mega Man X, Tekken, and DKC.

And like, arguably the peak of the SNES and Genesis libraries. PC was also making giant steps. And then there are the arcade games.

And maybe for old people 2006 and 2011 are basically the same. The technology was already advancing in diminishing returns by then and they're only... 5 years apart.

Yikes. It's been ez mode for me so far. I picked every battle correctly...But tomorrow it's finally going a little off-rails. '04 isn't exactly expected by most to win tomorrow against '94 (Super Metroid alone is one of the gods. Then it has a few other top-tiers to back it up). But we'll see about that.

It would take some serious mess up and sabotage to screw the '94 pic so no way it's going down that round. They can choose from FF6/Super Metroid/MMX/Phantasy Star IV/ Sonic & Knuckles/ Donkey Kong Country.

Though now that I think about it, putting something like Tekken is a way of trolling the year. At least they should put Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

Yeah, it did, but I didn't realize how hard it drops off after FF1 and Mario 3 until I saw River City Ransom and Wing Commander. I'd have honestly felt a little better with Monkey Island in there instead...!

FF6 is so overrated to me. Like, that game is defined by good moments such as the theater, the cliff and the final battle (mostly by atmosphere cause the actual battle sucks), but when it comes to the actual regular and boss battles, there's not much there, and the battle themes are a downgrade from what we had before.

The cast is huge, but only a few characters are actually important, and even then you're kinda left wanting, which is a shame for a story-driven FF, which up to this point were the even numbered ones.

I also never bothered to get all those gimmick rages.
