What? I haven't felt any chemistry between Alicent and the king, and her father is obviously verging on being super pedo-incest-creepy dad which makes me wonder if he hasn't done something to her before. She's obviously doing it just because her dad is awful.

hearing on podcasts that alicent's actress is queer and was playing the relationship as if they were more than friends. so yeah the vibes your picking up on were put out there. but they still have to be inferred; they are not yet (and at this point will likely never be) explicit

though for a change i didn't particularly get that vibe, and recently i have been very stunned when showrunners are trying to create romantic subtext

Um, a very easy explanation.

She was okay with his decision when it made sense for the kingdom in strengthening it with a needed ally of strength. She knew it was a king decision for the kingdom. With Allicent, it is not. Not to mention, he never discussed her with him and this decision reeks of the fact her best friend has been lying to her and keeping stuff from her also. She is pissed at both parties for how they treated her and disrespected her.

Para I fucking love Tunic to death and it would easily be my game of the year if it weren't for Elden Ring. Tunic actually has clues for all of its "cryptic" puzzles. They're really not comparable at ALL.

Not to mention I would argue beating it at 8 could work against the argument you're trying to make. I beat plenty of shit as a kid I wouldn't have the patience for today because we have unlimited time as kids. And just doing dumb stuff in a game is fun as a kid. Just running around the same game world beating up enemies is a joy as a kid. As an adult, you probably have higher standards and like to see games organically change and progress.

It took like a year to beat OoT for me as a kid and I bet half the hundreds (thousands?) of hours I spent with it was just walking around Hyrule Field lol

For what it's worth I think this is less me being super high on Reloaded and more me being not as high on whatever the Matrix is supposed to be doing.

To me at its core The Matrix series is basically just a string of philosophical babble into fight scenes repeated ad nauseam in a really cool world setting. People say the first one is like really deep and stuff but I never really saw that.

Matrix is a bit more compelling in setting it up early but Reloaded adds to the lore in an interesting enough way and has much better fight scenes and babble.

Revolutions makes the world setting boring with all the mecha suit fighting and no Matrix and has worse babble and fight scenes by far.

Resurrections kinda recaptures the intrigue of the first early but doesn't pay it off very well and has pretty lame fight scenes.

A demonic possession gone awry means you have mild telekineses, immortality, and can possess other people (your body goes catatonic), but you have a little evil guy in your head that comments on everything you do, forever.

kind of a victim of overuse but by the end of my SOTN playthrough I was literally getting mad every time I entered a new area and it started playing

azuarc wonders how this works. Do they see everything in a chase camera view? Do they operate with tank controls and can only see by awful viewpoints scattered throughout the world? Other than not needing a mirror, is there any upside to this that azuarc hasn't picked up on?
