Every so often Safeway has a buy 2 get 3 free sale on 12 packs of soda.

I have been good for about 6 months or so I think (I think I got a 12 pack a few months ago of iced tea cause it helped with my cold...but besides that), but today I needed to buy 50$ worth of stuff (to use a $5 off coupon) and I saw the buy 2 get 3 off sale and couldn't resist.

It's 5 12 packs for 12$ basically. $2.40 a 12 pack or 20 cents per soda. There is no CRV tax here either. I just couldn't resist and i bought 5 of em.

So now I have 60 cans of soda I have to drink before I can stop drinking soda again (all mountain dew, 3 red, 2 regular).

Mountain Dew btw is Nuka Cola, i have decided.

I can't eat melted yellow cheese it makes me sick, but......I have a sneaky way of making mac and cheese that works.

I get a box of kraft mac and cheese. Imake about 2/3rd of the box (somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3rd).

I add a bit of butter after making the pasta, add my spices (garlic and pepper primarily).

Then I add a bunch of grated parmesian cheese. I stir/mix it up well, then I add half of the cheddar cheese from the box, mix it up so it's evenly distributed (it doesn't melt exactly, it just clings to the melted parmesian), then I add the other half of the cheese.

Net effect is warm pasta with a good yummy cheese consistancy, a bit spicey, but with no melted yellow cheese. It's pretty good actually.

It's pretty cheap right now, especially ifyou know someone who works at gamestop for instance (the full bundle with the controllers/headset and until dawn blood whatever is $179.99...but with a gamestop employees 15% off thats more like $160 or so.

Not super cheap, but honeslty just to be able to use your ps4 anywhere (that you can plug it in) without a TV etc...it's pretty worth it.

And I agree yellow, that is mostly the point i made above. I'm hoping Beat saber changes my mind but so far, pretty much all the VR games would have been better without VR and just the move controllers or a good gun controller.

This is especially true for PSVR, but to some degree for all of them.

Currently many "VR" games are not actually VR games at all, other then the fact that you can only play them with a VR system (this has changed for some games like Thumper recently).

The amount of "VR" ness is some of these games.....like thumper again, was insanely small. In that game you can look a bit to the left or right, but it doesn't actually change what you can see at all. The controllers don't do anything at all (are not even used) and nothing is added from the VR headset. It's 6x more comfortable and fun to play it on the regular tv (now that it's available....except you have to freaking buy it seperate for that ability!!).

Then you have games like Skyrim, Doom etc, they control like crap when playing with VR controllers (at least for the PSVR and probably for the vive/occulus as well). You don't have movement thumb buttons on the move controllers, so....you have to point and click to move. That is just rediculous. Simple solution would be to put a move control on one of th em, so you can still swing it and point it, but also move around easily with it as well.

Alternative...possible answer, would be to simply allow players to use a normal PS controller in the left hand, even if it doesn't track, but that they can move around with and hit the left RB button etc, to use abilities/spells etc (for both Skyrim and Doom this would be WAY better, and i'm pretty sure for borderlands as well).

Both solutions would be WAY better then the current setup for so many games. The best of course would be to integrate movement into the actually VR controllers (thum button would work so well, and can be ignored for games like beat saber).

In addition, I know it's called VR, but in many games there is not much added by wearing the headset. You can, and I have, simply place the headset on top of your head (not over your face) and play the games on your main TV etc. This does not cause as much fatigue, prevents sweating/heating up and foggyness, and honestly 4k tvs are a zillion time clearer and look better then the PSVR headset.

The headset btw still works in such situations to allow you to move your head around normally, but....again...there is no actual reason for the headset at all. You could have something very light (and extremly cheap) that the camera uses to determine where you are looking......lets say some nice kitty/wolf ears!! The camera could determine exactly where you are looking by those ears and they could be super light...and cute as well (and waaaaay cheaper).

Now, yes, I do want a real virtual experience eventually and we are building on things here, but...for now the current headset configuration is not used in most of the games, or if it is, it could be done way cheaper, and easier, and be compatable with almost any computer out there (instead of not being compatible with most, if not still all, laptops).

The headset has it's place, you can travel with it easily and you won't need a monitor/tv to play your comp/ps4 games (in fact there is an app that lets you play steam VR games on your ps4 at this point). It's not worthless, but right now most of the games that are VR only could easily be adapted to play without the headset, almost half would play just as well without controllers either.

I say this the night before Beat Saber comes out (what I got my PSVR for), because I have found the current game selection and implementation for VR very lacking so far. There are a few games that use the headset well, or the move controllers well, but nothing that seems to really shine and makes it worth having to wear something so hot/annoying over the experience you would get without it. I hope, that beat saber will be the first game for me to do so.

Not exactly, at least not with my renters insurance.

Everything is insured to be replaced (so no depreciation of value).

So if my LG 4k smart tv currently costs $2000 to replace, that is what they give me.

My 42 inch sony 1089 p TV currently costs about $500, that is what I would get for it.

My Playstation pro and PSVR would both be replaced etc.

Long as you have the items well documented/photos etc, your pretty safe. You might not get everything back exactly, but the big value items will be replaced (or actually you get the cash value to replace them).

This actually means you could probably upgrade in some cases, or find a deal etc.

Like my laptop for instance, to replace it would still cost about $1000 or so....but...I could probably get a better laptop on sale.....for about the same price.

Extra thin crust (as thin as possible) with extra cheese and pepporoni.

Honestly when they make it thin enough it doesn't need extra cheese, it's all about the cheese to crust ratio, and I prefer less crust since it's less carbs.

I find it's WAY easier to ask a place to make an extra thin crust pizza, then to try and get them to put enough cheese on, without asking for extra, extra, extra cheese or something (which I have done).

When the pizza is really thin, you taste everything more, the sauce, the pepporoni, and the cheese...without all the bread taking away the flavor (and adding calories and carbs).

I just went out wiht 4 friends tonight in fact, and they all tried the extra thin pizza and really liked it:)

It's a super mega trick especially at places that are super stingy on their cheese.

A good pizza place has enough cheese without needing extra cheese. For instance NY Vinnies my favorite place near me puts enough cheese on their pizza that I don't need to order extra, in fact I get more cheese on a 6.99 grab and go pepporoni pizza then from most other places when I order double extra cheese.

The problem is not all places are good, but I would rather hunt for a good place that puts enough cheese on, and uses good pepporoni, and still have the option of pepporoni, then just be able to get more cheese at places that don't put enough.

So I'd go with pepporoni I guess, though honestly I don't think extra cheese (or cheese itself) should count, extra is just more of a topping you already have (and only need if the pizza place sucks).

Some places (like Old School Pizza near me) are good, but don't put alot of cheese though, so it's not a bad place, but you need at least 1 topping of extra cheese or they have parts of the pizza with no cheese no it (boggles the mind). It's good in every other way though, good cheese, sauce, crust and pepporoni, just not enough cheese.

But I wouldn't have to go there....so yeah, pepporoni. It adds so much, especially if you reheat any of the pizza later.

The moon has always been the potential launch point for any further exploration, I mean, always as in from before I was born (50 years ago +). Unless we come up with cold fusion or some infinite source of power here on earth, it just makes sense to create a base (and then expand on them) on the moon and launch from there.

Basically infinite energy source on the moon and far less needed to launch anything, still plenty of metals etc to actually build things as well (without having to get it out of our atmosphere).

If I remember correctly and it's been eons, Mars is the next step primarily due to large amounts of ice which can be converted into o2, and again a lower gravity (A bit over 1/3rd earths). Would be the easiest way to resupply the moon and any bases on saturns/jupiters moons etc.

The basic plan was always to build a space station initially (allowing the building of mining equipment, and supplies to make a sustainable station on the moon). Then build a station on the moon (expanding to including mining operations etc), then expand to mars.

The plan has been still born for most of my life though.

I got a bunch of other VR games with it, but have not really played any of em. Too many others on backlog. Bought it for beat saber though, and I will be playing that alot.

Used to do DDR and Guitar hero, but yeah...a lightsaber version of those games? I'm so down. It's also supposedly really good exersize which is awesome as well (DRR was as well to a degree).

Still wanna combine DDR and Beat saber eventually. I just have the cheap DDR pads now though, not my old metal one....so it probably won't work too well, but it will be fun to try lol.

You can always add things like onions and gauc, just the all meat naturally comes with no rice or beans. The Happy Burrito is a good substitute it has beans and meat only and is cheaper. Better if your not hungry for about a full pound of steak.

The all meat though takes up the whole burrito with just steak. If you get it spicey though the sauce has peppers and onions in it I think (I always got mine spicey). So freaking good.

Much like Pizza for me, the best burritos are plain, with just the extremely good taste of the steak, and some salsa (to keep it juicy). Mixing anything else in....once you have reached perfection, is just a crime.

There is a place in new orleans...wait no.....California....Hayward Ca to be exact.

They call it the all meat burrito place.

That is not it's real name, it actually has a name. I don't know what it is, because everyone calls it "The all meat burrito place".

It is on Tennyson road near mission blvd, and....it is insanely good.

Now, that might not mean much, people say food is good all the time, so I'll try and explain how good it is.

I have not lived near it now for over 10 years. I had dreams about it, and strangely about there being another location as well, for years. I would dream about going back to the area and getting a burrito there lol. That is how good it is.

I don't/didn't dream about NY pizza like that...ever.

Thing is they broil their steak, but...they do it in such a way that it's very juicy and flavorful, they must use only a little bit of water or something, i have no clue. It's so good though.

It is 850+ miles away from me though, so, since I was thinking of how good that food is, I thought I would post here, so if any of you are in the area, you can go in the future. It is so worth it.

If I had stayed nearby, I would probably have continued to eat at least 2 of the burritoes a week (and probably more) and be dead by now...because honestly it's not very healthy at all.

Thing is, it would have been worth it.

Mexican food in general is better in Ca, and the Bay area especially, but yeah, of all the places (and I went to many) it was by far the best and I think, the place I will miss eating at the most over my entire life.

So if you ever get a chance......go there and try their all meat burritos. Enjoy one for me even. I may travel there sometime, in the future....but no matter how good the food, 850+ miles each way, is quite a distance just for some food.

I looked up the real name btw, and here is a link to it's menu. The all meat burritos are now $8.50 each (used to be $6), but...they are still there. If you ever get a chance.......you gotta try it.

GreenKnight is right, at least for the current late teens through early 30's generation.

I'm basing this on a general group of friends and aquiantances (magic the gathering really gets you a large group of people you know/hang out with) in my area (Olympia), but yeah, women especially under 30 right now, are often more free, and less likely to want a serious relationship.

To the point where the guys are complaining about it lol. They are certainly not slut-shamed at all anymore, and it has almost become the norm at this point. You even see them actively seeking out new "boys" etc.

In a crazy twist that is hard to believe, these same women actually slut-shame guys who sleep around lol, while not accepting anything like that themselves (I have seen it).

For the guys, it's the older ones (nearly 30 or just past it) who are actively looking for a real relationship after casually dating for a decade or more, that are really having a problem.

All I can say is the dating scene is WAY different then it was 20+ years ago when I dated last. Not sure if it's a good thing or not, but the 18-30 year olds seem to mostly have no concern at all about STDs. They joke about it even.

Hmm, well I have not played with my friends yet, which may make it more fun. I do hope there is a way to meet up/join up before logging in and not having to randomly find each other.

Was not massively impressed by either the combat system (which seems...worse then fallout 4...which was my least favorite before this) and the leveling system.

Brief reasons why below.

Combat may actually require me to switch to keyboard and mouse...which is fine...I can make it work with my Xbox controller, but the aim would be a bit better with a mouse. As much as fallout 4 made Vats less important...so far at least, 76....killed it.

Using Vats uses up a ton of your AP (you can boost this by raising agility, but it's a small increase and uses up points and perk cards...which means you can't have other bonuses. Meanwhile as long as you can aim, you can hit..without worrying about running out of AP, ammo (you have to reload outside of vats of course but you'll auto do it), and you can move etc while firing.

In vats enemies still move like normal, you just no longer hit based on your aim, instead you have a % chance to hit. Even with a xbox controller and some of the faster enemis, I still basically seem to hit easier/more often without vats.

Meanwhile leveling.....you basically get a special point per level and the ability to choose one perk related to that special stat. So if it's agility you can get one that boosts AP regen for instance, or one that makes aiming in vats able to target body parts from perception etc (This might be important later for specific monsters bosses, making vats possibly matter that way....if you can't just use the gun that aim better the longer you stand still, and shoot it in the limb naturaly).

I am not sure (have not had time to check) if you get more max health for instance by raising endurance versus raising....say agility. If so, then at least the stats you choose have an effect in more then one way.

That being said, I don't see it having a very deep leveling/customization system at all (less even then fallout 4...which was a downgrade form 3/NV). I realize that was likely due to it being multiplayer....but...the events I have participated in so far at least have not made significant use of the multiplayer aspect so far.

In fact, the largest effect of multiplayer is a competition of resources....where many things are looted by others before you have a chance, compared to you being able to loot it all if you were not in the world with other players.

PvP might make sense, be fun, but I would almost have rather seen a hub like setup where you can choose to party with others (if you want) but can have your own instance, or play offline....compared to this setup.

It may grow on me, I have heard it is huge (although the intial map isn't that big), so maybe it gets more complicated and cooler as you go. Perhaps if stats don't max at 10 and you get bonuses both from the stats, and the perks themselves, it could lead to good customization as you play longer.

For now, I still have not played enough to really make a decision, but.....I was not overly impressed by my first 4 hours or so.

Lol I realized after I posted it that juicing could means something else.

I'm just doing juice as a meal once a day right now, but eventually i'm gonna try and alternate days. Solid foods half the time and just juice the other. It's my new kinda idea for a diet basically, get to eat the foods I like (within reason...just pizza once a week hehe), but still eat healthy and get plenty of veggies.

I also will eat almonds on the days I juice, I use em as my snacks now (and baby carrots).

My dad left when I was 2 and my brother was born.

My mom didn't want to parent and was in and out of mental institutions.

So didn't have discipline, structure or any kinda parenting as a kid.

I certainly got hit alot for the first 10 years of my life or so, we moved from one project to another every 3 months or so (my mom always said it was to avoid my dad, but later in life I figured that probably was not the reason). Once I got to Jnr High though I started fighting back, took kick boxing and judo at the Police Athletics League and playing sports.

Sports changed my life cause before that I just read books and didn't have friend or interact with anyone pretty much. Got involved in a Pickle Ball tournament at my jnr high and came in second and that started me down the path of both playing sports, and actually making friends.

Still read though, almost a book a day until I got married.

So many good ones, but it's funny Lion King seems to be in most peoples top 5 (certainly in mine).

Love so many of em though even ones that are not on here, or ones like Enchanted that are not all animated.

I did like Moana though, just....loved so many other films that it wouldn't come close to the top 5 and probably not the top 10.

Even after hearing/watching it over and over and over and over....and over and over and over and over...and then over and over and over as a teacher, I still really liked Frozen (especiallly Anna).

Love the little mermaid when I was young as well. The original Tron btw would count as a disney movie (which was awesome for it's time).

Alladin was freaking great as well.

Nightmare before Xmas (great in Kingdom hearts as well!).

Hmm...do new star wars movies count as disney now as well? Hehe.
