J.D is a lot like ted mosby in that they are just terrible people that the show wants us to think are quirky and lovable but when you actually think about the things they do they are pretty shitty

like how JD sabotaged elliots relationship and then immediately didnt want her now that she left her boyfriend for him

at least the janitor is there to abuse him which is more and more deserved one very rewatch

in captain planet the villains would often do things like intentionally cause an oil spill just to stick it to the environment
republicans are less subtle than that

I only did the post game content with shion
Didn't bother with KOSMOS or ziggy

I've seen them angry that the game is woke because of of the 3 leads is a black woman

I've only heard the one nirvana song and the weird al parody

Reasons

started episode 3
once i finish with ziggy i can loop around back to episode 1 and do MOMO solo
when i get to jin solo instead of skipping episode 1 ill try to do an AWGS only run of the game cause in 20 years and like 50 playthroughs i have never used the AWGS
they bore me
but thats an entire aspect of the game i know nothing about so i might as well learn it

and for sections where the character im soloing isnt available i just play normally such as the shion dungeon in episode 2

I must be the only person who didn't actively dislike Xenosaga 2. Oh there were some things I thought were jarring, like the sudden change in art style especially for Shion (not to mention the weird personality shift) among many things I didn't like about the game. But once I learned how to juggle enemies the battle system became super easy and fun. It's the same strategy every time and I'm fine with it.

Plus since I really liked Jr I was into the whole Rubido-Albedo backstory, facility experimenting on superpowered kids and how they break out etc.

That does raise a question tc how exactly do you deal with the Xenosaga 2 portion of the game where you only play as Shion? Do you do any level grinding?

well the personality shift is more due to olivia hacks take on the character rather than an actual shift in the writing for her
it was the performance that makes it feel different.
yeah when shion is along before going to the cafe i had to go back to the opening dungeon and fight the soldiers there for awhile because shion needs a lot of work to be able to beat albedo and she doesnt do much damage to enemies in MOMO's subconcious except against the infected URTVs and those dont respawn so you cant grind off them.

once you get past albedo however the game becomes a lot easier
he is the big hurdle of episode 2. once you can beat him you should be able to handle everything else. so long as you get all the secret keys to get the skills

and yes ziggy is in each game.

There was a game called final fantasy mobius a few years ago and it's lead character was revealed and his outfit was the skimpy oversexualized style many female characters had to wear

And the exact same people who will defend putting a nun in a game with nothing but a mini skirt, stripper boots and pasties send letter after letter to square until they redesigned the character to be less sexual

So I can't take any argument in favor of oversexualized designs seriously when I know the people defending it would 100% be outraged if a male character dressed as skimpy

best part of playing episode 3 is that its the game where ziggy is at his strongest
he is much closer to top tier in episode 3 then he is in the first 2 games
he is the weakest party member overall in episode 1 and in episode 2 he is bottom 3

I spent 4 hours at the dentist getting one of my bottom wisdom teeth pulled out. The numbing just wasn't working so everytime they tried to pull my tooth it hurt like crazy. Eventually I just stopped telling them it hurt and bared through the pain just so it would finally be over
And what got me through that was the question "is this worse than playing lunar dragon song?" The answer is no

and episode 2 ziggy solo is finished
now i dont think im gonna jump right into episode 3

can probably finish my ziggy run of episode 2 today and move on to episode 3

ive also done solo runs in FF1 on the nes
ive finished a figher solo and a thief solo
im workig on a black belt solo. took a little break from it but i had beaten lich

some games that were rated teen on the ps2 era would 100% get an M rating today like xenosaga

are the games that easy that you can solo them

you can solo almost any jrpg if you have played them enough to understand the mechanics

last night i beat orgulla
and now i reloaded so i can farm off her to get 25 awakening IIs
i need the reward from the pay off the captain debts sidequest and this is the quickest and easiest as well as the earliest you can get the items needed to sell to pay it off.

its an ok show
juliette however......a lot of people dont like her but i didnt hate her
i think that she works best in one off episodes though
when she is the focus of a monster of the day episode i really enjoy her
but anytime she has a season long story arc its always terrible

hope you beat episode 1 one day too

I'm not sure if he was actually good but I always liked using Jr in the first game. Loved his skill where he shoots coins and they ricochet like crazy.

he is solid in all 3 games
never the best party member but never the worst

and im on disk 2 of episode 2 with ziggy solo now

yes keep everyone dead except 1 and fight with just the one character
its not impossible in episode 2. just incredibly tedious and unfun
and yes xenosaga is my favorite game

BOF2 is my favorite nina

well its not like anyone is so bad they make the game actively harder if you use them like nina in breath of fire 3
everyone is still rather solid overall through the trilogy

I didn't really utilize Gambits, but I didn't hate the combat either. My problem was with the License Board making everyone too samey and boring, side content consisting only of hunts, and a lack of story (despite well-written dialogue).

then you might appreciate zodiac age as they reworked the license board
now there are 12 jobs you can pick for your six characters and they have to use the job specific license board which limits what they get
like if you pick a white mage your character with that job isnt going to be using warrior equipment and fighting

Ziggy is awesome so it shouldnt be a problem imo. Heck all the characters are awesome in those games that I remember.

as a character ziggy is awesome and yeah it has a overall great cast
not a weak link among them
but gameplay wise the tier list is all over the place

ziggy is the worst party member in battle in episode 1
in episode 2 he is a bottom 3 party member but better than shion and chaos in that game
and he is a top 3 party member in episode 3

It's OK
I like the combat system
But it's story is such a disappointment
On paper it has an amazing plot. But it wasn't executed very well so it's story ended up being one of its weakest aspects so it feels like wasted potential
And it doesn't help that with a core cast of 6 characters three of them are pointless
You could remove vaan, penelo and Fran from the game all together and very little would need to be changed to make the story still work
Basically would need to give the others a different reasons to go through the mines and find an alternative way through the forest and that's it

I've already successfully soloed the trilogy twice
Once with shion and once with KOSMOS
I am now attempting a ziggy solo run and am on episode 2 with him now

i made both my accounts pretty close together and there is a 6000 karma point difference between them

you could lift vaan penelo out of the story all together and very little would need to be altered to steal work

years ago when the scream tv show was airing
i saw an episode and all season they had only been killing off actors credited in guest roles
the main cast was untouched and then when finally someone died i made a topic titled "wow scream MTV finally killed off one of the main character" SPOILERS or something like that

and then it got modded for spoilers with no warning even though i had a spoiler warning
so i disputed it and was told the title itself was a spoiler
but i strongly disagreed with that as scream was a slasher TV show. the characters exist to be killed off so just saying someone died when there were like 9 main cast members isnt enough of a spoiler
so i disputed and it got upheld and thats usually where i just let it go
but i felt so strongly about it this was the one time i continued along the dispute chain as far as i could and eventually a higher up was like "yeah i agree the nature of the show makes this not a spoiler" and it was overturned

just looking back now that this board will probably die

I don't remember where I heard this so it may not even be true

But I have heard most female serial killers tend to be the angel of death subcategory
They take on positions like nanny or nurse where they will be in charge of vulnerable people and then kill making it look like natural causes often racking up much larger body counts before being caught than other serial killers

renne le chateu is a real place on earth and interestingly enough i saw a streamer playing the game and since he knew the history of renne le chateu he actually called the twist which was cool

officially no they are not due to a lot of copyright red tape
basically monolith soft made all the xeno games
but they made them for different companies so the licensing rights are all over the place

square owns xenogears
namco owns xenosaga
and nintendo owns xenoblade

so any connection between them are little winks and nods to the audience but never anything official because if someone tried to officially connect them a lawsuit would immediately follow
but xenoblade 2 did get namcos permission to use KOSMOS as a gacha character for episode 2
and the DLC for xenoblade 3 has such a blatant connection to xenosaga that they had to credit namco in the end credits

Yea, but my hope is that bandai will see how well the kickstarter did and realize people would support a remaster. :v This kickstarter is licensed by bandai at least, so they know about it.

if the massive success of xenoblade doesnt make them realize they could make money just by the xeno name alone a kickstarter certainly wont
