Just curious, when they first played Mario RPG, who else initially thought that Exor was Smithy? Because for one thing, you never learn his actual name until fighting him. What also didn't help were commercials referring to him as "Smithy the Sword".

final fantasy 6 is a game where the magical damage outdoes the physical
terra celes and relm will outdamage everyone for the entire game thanks to their high magic stats

mario is well rounded
bowser is you physical attacker
mallow is your mage
geno is a physical attacker with some support moves
peach is a healer but so much more. she can do as much physical damage as mario, as much magical damage as mallow, and heal the entire party to full health while curing all status ailments
peach is just plain good at everything with no clear weakness

yeah we went over that already so did me and neon the first time we played
you are at the final dungeon now which honestly is just a boss rush

also fun fact, geno whirl if the timed hit is activated at just the right time will do 9999 damage to an enemy
this doesnt work on bosses of course
except for exor
geno can do 9999 damage to exor and instantly win the fight

cause the secret boss is in the locked door in monstro town
pretty sure if you have the shiny stone you can fight it as soon as you get to monstro town

the secret boss is the hardest boss in the game so fight it towards end game
or equip the lazy shell armor on peach and beat him easily at any level

you need the shiny stone to unlock the door

i never put the lazy shell on peach for 2 reasons

1 it makes her do joke damage and i like attacking with her frying pan and seeing her do damage equal to mario

2 it makes the game way to easy. the game is easy enough without literally making peach unkillable

it should be obvious why

IIRC bowser only learns one spell through level up all his other ones he starts with
none are worth using but it might be fun to use the switch glitch to give peach his spell and see it be useful for once

You find Grate Guy's Casino in a pipe in Bean Valley
You find Knife Guy in Booster's Tower but you don't have to win against Knife Guy 100 times, you have to win a net 12 times against him to get the bright card. You have to win 100 times against Grate Guy to get the Star Egg (a reusuable battle item that deals 100 damage to everyone everytime you use it)

i havent played the game in over 10 years i got a couple details wrong so sue me

you can find crate guys casino in lands end somewhere which will unlock more minigames
remember the boss fight in boosters tower against knife guy and crate guy? thats the same crate guy
you gotta play a game with knife guy and win like 100 times to get a pass into the casino and then you gotta find the hidden entrance to it

or defeat 3 of the minions but dont beat the last one
thats the easiest way to fight johnny

if you beat all his minions he turns the fight into a 1 on 1 fight just him vs mario and without the princess there to make you immortal the fight becames more difficult

the 3D puzzle is hard for everyone
it wasnt the clue i was missing though
there is a room with a big button on the ground you can press
it doesnt stay down
for 6 years i didnt realize that the barrel in the corner could be pushed on top of it
once i did the password hit me like a ton of bricks

secret of the stars was my second and that game will alway have a special place in my heart and its my favorite so bad its good video game

i saw a list that ranked how good each character in mario was and it lost all credibility when it didnt put the princess in the number 1 slot
she is blatantly overpowered in the game

i coulda sworn star hill happened after yardovich but then when i doublechecked i realized i was the one remembering things wrong
its been a long time since i played

but you already have peach to cure every status effect the game while healing you for more than 69 HP at the same time
so it just kind of seems like a hassle to get them when peach does the job better

anyway star hill has the best battle field in the game and its a shame there isnt a boss fight there
it makes star hill seem wasted. i mean it even has a star but it just doesnt feel as epic as the other stars cause you dont earn it through a boss fight

getting caught 3 times in a row in the curtain hiding mini game is the only way you get to fight booster which is weird since he is such a big antagonist for a fair chunk of the game with his time in the spotlight going from boosters tower all the way to marrymore

super mario rpg was a collaboration between nintendo and squaresoft @Lyrica
so nintendo doesnt own mallow or geno so they cant be used without square softs permission so they dont get used

I waffle back and forth on whether JP II or III is the better movie. Neither of them are good, which makes it difficult.

jurassic park 2 isnt good overall but it has good moments
like the scene where the female lead is on glass over a mountain thats cracking
or the scene in the field with raptors hunting everyone down and we see the cool overhead shots of the grass moving closer and closer to the humans

or the scene where the little girl uses her gymnastics skills to save the day............yeah i liked that scene as a kid so sue me!

there is a place where you can fight some snifit wannabes and if you let them beat you they become snifits and you can talk to them in booster tower.

the mine cart mini game i liked as a kid

the boss fight against valentina has her jiggle her boobs every time you hit her
booster is an optional boss you only fight if you fail the hiding mini game like 3 times

one thing i would change about the game if i could would be that id put a boss fight on star hill
its the best battlefield in the game and i just feel like it not getting a boss battle leaves it wasted

finding out mallow was adopted was a total shock
i was convinced he was a tadpole

a couple years ago a new glitch was discovered called the switch glitch and it makes peach even more overpowered
get close to leveling up with mallow and peach in your party (it doesnt have to be mallow but it usually done with him)
anyway mallow should be learning a new spell on his level up.

now us a star to level up without ever going into battle. now the trick to the glitch is try to open the menu just as you hit the chest for star power. if you hear the star music when the menu opens you know you have succeeded cause opening the menu with star power is supposed to be impossible
anyway switch the slot mallow and peach are in so if he is on top movie him to the bottom and her above him.

anyway go and star power kill enemies with star power and gain level ups that way.
once its over the game will get confused and register peach as if she was mallow so she gains the stats he would have at level up. this also gives her his spell he would have learned so you can use this to teach her mallows spells
or even a spell of bowsers just for the novelty of seeing a bowser spell do actual damage

In the show, Buffy mentions an incident in her old town with vampires. I always thought the show was a sequel to the movie and she's referring to that

the series is a sequel to the original script of the buffy movie
joss whedon was forced to change a bunch and he was not happy with the end result
originally the end of the movie would have had buffy burn down the gym full of vampires
