the way the female characters have become overly sexualized over the years has been a common criticism of the series for awhile now
you may not see it but many many others do

at least nami got to be the one to take down absolom in the end to make up for how creepy he was.
and i like that nami was running away until her new friend got hurt and thats when she turned to fight
i kind of like that about her. she is a coward until someone she cares about is hurt then she will step up.

all the strawhats fighting the giant together was fun

and yeah from here on out the animators get really porny with the women
oda still puts the girls in skimpy outfits but the anime adds extreme close ups, jiggle physics and moments that were clearly made to touch yourself too that arent there in the manga

what could be interesting is if a guest in the bed and breakfast passed away over night and gets stuck in the house as a ghost

The real way to get overpowered in ff2 was always using the swap spell on weak enemies
Doing that raises all your stats every single time in every version of the game

they need to start killing people off though
this cast is super crowded

it didnt really resolve the cliffhangers from the season 1 finale though
like season 1 ended with tabitha falling down into a hole and finding victor and learning this is where the monsters sleep
and ended with the sherrif trapped in a pit and a whole bus full of people ending up in the town

all those things got addressed in the season premier but none of them got resolved
the bus people still dont know what kind of danger they are in or that they are trapped in the town
tabitha and victor are still underground with monsters and this is the most we have seen of the monsters so far since they dont pretend to be human when sleeping.
and the sheriff only gets out of the hole in the last minute

excited for episode 2 of the season because nights falling and with so much fodder with the bus people i expect several fatalities

ive noticed more typos in my typing
and when i type a lot in my head everything i wanted to type makes sense but then later when i reread it after its already been posted there are whole sentences that dont make sense because my brain had a stray thought and i typed bits and piece of that down without realizing it so sometimes whole words are different than what i intended to type which can be very confusing to anyone who is trying to read what i said

i actually know of a small website that had roms on it
that small website actually got a C&D letter from square enix ordering to take down the SE roms it had
but the thing is the site wasnt told they had to take down all the SE roms. just the final fantasy and live a live roms

which is how i knew the live a live remake and pixel remasters were coming before they even existed

the 3 mages are ridiculously expensive to keep up to date
and this team would be fine if i not commited to also using them in the order the list spit them out in so my party line up in battle looks like this

white mage
red mage
black belt
white mage

so i have a squishy white mage in the party slot that gets targetted for the majority of the attacks
its not so bad since i can have my top white mage cast ruse and my bottom white mage cast invs so the top mage is untouchable
but it takes up so much magic in the early game

when everyone has auto regen the long ass summon animations will leave everyone fully healed so there isnt a need for a dedicated white mage at end game

plus a hidden game mechanic boosts the strength of daggers summons the more gems she has that teach that summon
so if she has 99 shiva gems shiva gets a massive damage boost and will have dagger hit the 9999 damage cap at a lower level than eiko's holy will be able to

i just havent actually read the manga or watched the anime from that point on
but ive read spoilers, seen scenes and occasionally looked at the bigger chapters

so i know everyhting thats happened in the story. i just need to actually go through the story
its what i do with all long running shonen. eventually i just stop keeping up with the actual product and just keep up to date on any new development

two stick out in my memory though from years ago on the site

i made a yaoi recommendation topic on the anime board and it got modded. but there was a hentai recommendation topic that didnt get modded and was the reason i made the alternative topic in the first place
and i marked the hentai topic to see if it would get modded. it didnt so it felt like kind of homophobic to me which is why i remember that moderation so much even thought it was like 15 years ago

and the other moderation i remember was when the scream tv show was airing
i made a topic titled something like "wow scream tv show finally killed off a main cast member SPOILER

i got modded for spoiler with no warning. i contested that moderation because i had a spoiler warning and it had been like 7 episodes and only side characters had died so there was like 8 series regulars so saying one finally got killed off didnt narrow things down and its a slasher show. the character exist to die so its not much of a spoiler to say someone died in vague terms in a slasher setting.

the moderation got upheld and thats usually where id leave things since its not worth it to argue past that
but i actually felt so strongly about this that i contested again. and once again it was upheld. so i contested again
i dont remember if i contested all the way to a lead mod of an admin but i really felt strongly that this was a unique circumstance
and anyway a higher up actually agreed with me that since it was a slasher show and the characters exist to get killed off my topic shouldnt have been moderated but had it not been a slasher show it would have been.

so anyway i got that overturned after multiple contests which is why i remember it

yeah the next arc is the arc where i stopped watching
i gotta catch up again but i had caught up to the manga at the time and then i decided to let the manga get a decent chunk ahead then id read it again and now its been years and im super far behind

ive seen a lot of these karen videos lately and this is what i always hope happens but it never does

adult friendship takes work. you need to invest time in it
go to your local community center or libraries and see if there are things you can volunteer for which will have you interact with people in your community and maybe develop friendships over time
or see if there are events you can take part in. community centers often have notice boards that could be filled with events people want others to take part in even nerdier things like D&D games can be promoted this way by people looking for extra players

the more you involve yourself in your community the greater the odds are you will develop friendships

ennis lobby and alabasta are my favorite arcs in one piece
and the i want to live scene with robin is my all time favorite one piece moment
also i remember thinking robin was super old back in the day since she was 28
now id kill to be 28 again :(

kaku was my favorite CP9 member
and i liked that everyone finally got a bounty in this arc
