In my opinion Johnny proved she abused him multiple times, and should have been arrested for throwing the bottle (along with other items) at him that cut off his finger. He had recordings of her GOADING him to try and get him to hit her and him refusing, while she said he wasn't a man etc.

There were no recordings of him abusing her without provication, no evidence of him hitting her without being attacked first etc. At most you could say it was a mutually abusive relationship where she instigated things as well, but that would not prevent her from losing due to defamation (She said he was abusive, not that he was retaliating or that they had a toxic relationship etc).

The UK trial was totally different and decided by a judge only, and alot of evidence was not allowed.

Amber is crazy to appeal this because an appeal comes with the potential of a more sever/harsher penalty. While she might (doubtful but might) get past the 8 mill verdict eventually, she could end up with a worse verdict and it can't be knocked out with bankruptcy. If she really doesn't have any money though (or less than 2mill) then she doesn't really have anything to lose.

I'm a bit surprised the jury didn't throw its hands up and say they were both abusive and award neither party any moneys considering where this was tried and the likely large religious background in that area. Johnny has made no secret of his drug/alcohol addiction, has piercings/tattoos etc and alot of that at least used to be frowned apon in that part of the US. It may be different now though, and also he is a celebrity many children (now adults on jury) grew up with.

Of the two, I believe Amber was the most aggressive and abusive. I don't get the feeling Johnny was abusive with others in his life, so I put the blame mainly on her (Even if he was abusive back). She herself said in court that she never saw herself as a victim, but that is how she presented herself in the op ad etc, in order to defame Johnny and hurt his carrier. She did that on purpose, and that is what the case was about...she maliciously attacked him after they were seperated and tried (and succeeded) to hurt his career.

Now she has paid for that choice.
