I was talking to my departments IT guy and called the blocky part of my laptop a power block and he genuinely looked at me like I was the stupidest person in the world just now. He did the same when my left mouse button wasnt working and he needed to take it out and put a new one in. Am I supposed to know this stuff or be willing to take apart my work computer? One time my team kept wrapped our cords around this scanner device we use at work, and he told all of us, in a room with our bosses, that he thought we were so smart so he was confused how we could make such a horrible mistake (he refuses to just print out a sheet with explicit instructions on how to pack even though this is vital to the company.

My old housemate was like this too. Guy would burn water if you let him cook, but when I saw him building a computer once and admitted I didnt know where to even start if I had to make one myself, he just laughed and went I thought you went to Penn state

These types of people really rub me the wrong way >_>
