Even if Stadia flops, the tech is out there (Shadow even already exists), so all PC games will effectively be portable pretty soon (if they are not already).

Meanwhile the diff between PC and console games have pretty much evaporated and many if not most PC games now are better with a controller, not keyboard and mouse (but it's still nice to have the option).

Thats all good. But probably not enough o make people switch from a console to pc...

Exclusives are great, but in general you need more then just exclusives to make a system sell, especially once you have SO MANY similar types of games on other systems/pc at this point.

Tell that to Nintendo. Though, those exclusives seem to work for them...

I don't see it being as much of a thing. PS and Nintendo might eventually get enough exclusives to make it worth a purchase...especially if they actually release systems next year, but 3-4 years from now? I just can't see there not being so many games of the same type available on PC, that you can play anywhere, with a very cheap system even....that it would make sense to buy a console.

Nintendo has built an empire on exclusives. And they probably arent selling any time soon. People will still have a reason to buy Nintendo. And while Sony has less exclusives, the ones they have are really good. So, theyll be fine, too... As long as they dont sell those exclusives... Not to mention, some would buy the systems that most of their friends have...

Less people are buying nintendo, or keeping it, then in the past, and that was without a really good alternative for portable gaming (3ds/switch).

I bought one, and eventually returned it and sold my game, because there just isn't enough games on the switch for me (and I have a Wii/Wii U for older games).

There are only a few games on the system (I already played oddysey) that I would actually get/enjoy (if I had freaking time), that are not available on PC at this point (octopath etc).

I did not like the small screen on the portable switch, playing odeysey on it sucked.

Wii U was also a total and complete waste, with just the Mario game really being worth it to me.

The Wii system was actually the last Nintendo system I feel was worth purchasing (for me).

PS4 is certainly worth it, and I don't regret buying the original or upgrading to the Pro. I don't regret buying the PS VR either...all very worthwhile.

But yeah, if Stadia works fairly well, and I can play games on the go (same games I play at home), I don't see anything that Ps5 can release at this point that would convince me to buy the system. I bought the PS4 primarily for Kingdom Hearts III which took forver to release...and I still have not finished.

I would of course go buy a ps4 now for all the games that are available...but would I buy one at this point in the first year or two of release......nope....and I doubt I will for the ps5...even if Stadia flops....because I just don't play my ps4 enough and I have YEARS of games in my backlog on it already.

So yeah...stadia costing only $10 a month and you can pretty much choose to stop paying for it (like netflix etc) and start again when something else releases.....it's pretty much perfect for me, and will be for many other people who have waaaay to many games but want to play a few new releases etc.
