This is why I don't even wanna play Yu-gi-oh anymore. I used to love it when it had limitations. At some point they made everything summon itself/something else/the entire graveyard and it got a lot less interesting.

Pretty much. I used to play Magic The Gathering as well, and its mana system always kept the game in check no matter how crazy some cards could get. Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't have that. The game doesn't have less limitations now than it did before, because it never had limitations to begin with. Cards simply got stronger over time and there was no built-in system like MTG's mana to keep the speed of the game in check.
