We are supposed to have them, and so should many other major countries, including Japan/China etc. The missile that flew over Japan could have been, it seems at this point, a 120 kiloton bomb, 10x as powerful as the last ones that hit it. Why was it allowed to get near Japan let alone fly over it? Heck why don't other major countries have subs/boats etc surrounding NK so they can shoot down missiles right away if they are launched? Also, in a cosmic funny, I was talking to someone in the Army yesterday at a party who just got back from deployment and he was going on about how NK was no threat at all and we have it totally under control.
