@Frolex it is dishonest because several posts ITT explain why my side thinks the way it thinks, and you've disregarded each and every one of those posts. I could write a multi paragraph response and you'd ignore it too or cling to one sentence or two

No post in this topic has provided a justification for why dogs are deserving of moral consideration but cows aren't. I'm sure you could write a multi-paragraph response. Whether that response would actually contain an argument or if you would just waste a lot of words playing victim some more, that's a separate question.

It should be pretty fucking obvious why. Humans have a special symbiotic relationship with dogs. They've evolved along side us to be companions. They developed a unique way of communication (barking) specifically so they can communicate with humans. They can read our facial expressions and look us in the eyes without it being a sign of aggression like with other wild canines. They guide our blind and protect our children and livestock/property. They share our living spaces and sleep on our beds. It's fucked up to torture and eat an animal that was created to unconditionally love you and all sub-cultures who do should be rightly looked down upon for such savagery.

to add to this, dogs understand what humans do when they point with their finger. The only other animal who understands this is the chimpanzee, who shares like, 98% of DNA with us.

Dogs also "smile" sometimes, copying human behavior. It's amazing since baring teeth is the ultimate sign of aggression usually
