No, thats not what I meant. Yes, the battery life is worthless, but they are incapable of running at full gaming power on battery. Just like the Switch performs worse when its not docked, because you have to lower the power consumption for battery life. At full gaming power, a gaming laptop probably wouldnt last 20 minutes. Thats why none of them do it out of the box.

That's why I want to swap the Mouse + KB for a controller in the messenger bag.
And a few pounds is nothing for many people who are teenager to late 40's.

Its more like 5 or 6, which is a lot compared to a Steam Deck, which coupled with a dock and a controller is just a better version of your made up gimmick.

That's why it's going to take MS to make it worth while.

No, they couldnt make it work, because the gimmick is stupid.

Let's say your friends/family wants to use the one & only big screen TV you have in your living room / den.
You can easily just un-dock the LapTop and move it somewhere else to continue gaming.
Even plug it into the wall socket for AC Mains Power.

I'm sure plenty of people who game have encountered that scenario.

Yeah, and both the Steam Deck and Switch have already solved this problem in a less awkward way.
